Still lives in his mom basement...never mind him. As a musician myself April Wine is one of the best rock bands period to learn from and listen.
Randy Miller you saw was still are old man
Sadly most people will never know how underrated this band was.
There still tours
I'd like to think they will know
I don't know what it is about this band but it almost gives me Def Leppard vibes. If that makes sense
Or know this is a cover song (Lorence Hud?)
sort of the definition of underrated, no?
I AM 77 AND REMEMBER HOW UNDERATED THIS BAND WAS. JUST HOW MUCH THERE SONGS AND MUSIC WAS SO GOOD.
Reminds me of when the world was a much cooler place.
So So True a better time for sure . We spent a whole weekend dedicated to April Wine lol. I am sure everyone in town showed up at one time or the other .. Lol

I am 68 years young and never get tired of listening to April Wine they were so underrated it amazes me still to this day .
Yea, i just heard this song is a remake. April Wine, Myles, did not write it. I was very suprised when i heard that.
I listen to them every day and I'm not kidding.....they are a fantastic classic rock band!!
I'm 54. Yes you damn right !!!!
@@bigsky3072 The version that Lorence Hudd sings is pretty damn good too !!
@Dan Kelly yes, i just listened to that one! Also, at the 2:20 mark. U will notice that Myles forgot the lyrics.

without a doubt, one of the most underrated bands ever!
Lol that's a damn joke. They were an average band that noone ever talked about.
It's one of my favorite bands they only had 4 albums
I was listening to them in 77 or 78 I'm 58
@@charlielemmel311 I believe you meant KNOWONE, an yes they were UNDER RATED!
Explain to me how they were underrated. Also is it just standard for people to randomly say this band or this person was “underrated” that is on every damn video on TH-cam someone says that same exact comment.
Rest in peace Myles Goodwyn.🙏

Anything that makes music is a "real instrument", arsehole.

Myles Goodwyn's voice is timeless... I was 12 when I stole my older brother's April Wine 8-Track and jammed out to it at my cousin's house. It was worth the beating.
LOL!
ROFL 😂 😂 😂
Remember that beating, it will keep you in touch with good music. Anything close to a beating and you will remember April Wine. Beating with a smile.
LOL! Absolutely worth it.
Agreed. Top 10 rock vocalist easy
Go rest high on that mountain Myles thank you for the music and the memories.
I met Myles Goodwin after seeing the April Wine Live tour in Edmonton back in 1974. Great concert and an even nicer guy.
RIP Miles Goodwin
Thank You April Wine!!!
First heard you guys in '77 and it's 2023 now and I'm still listening. THE Greatest Band EVER......
The 80s stuff should never be forgotten. The junk nowadays is just junk.
Actually, if people enjoy it then I suppose that's all that's important. But subjectively speaking, IMHO, April Wine was certainly not a lot more than a standard mainstream band (no offense to Canadians), but certainly they really weren't anything special. More in the same genre with Def Leppard, Triumph, Night Ranger, Bon Jovi, Foreigner, big audiences, big shows, big sounds, but entirely pridictable and boring. I'd put Journey in that group, too even though it had some the best musicians of the time. AW may have had fine musicians, but it's music don't not break new ground nor was it terribly creative. More formulaic, standard stuff for commercial markets. It's really can't compare to what Bands like Rush, Elvis Costello The Pretenders, Roxy Music, Lods Triadores, YES, ELP, Queen, VH, Pink Floyd, The Stones and the Talking Heads, the Clash, The Angels, and even ACDC (with Bon Scott), were putting out at that time (Zeppelin was already in a death spiral since '75). Therr is GREAT music today, you just might not be accessing it, but certainly The Black Keys, The White Stripes, Noir Desir, Portugal the Man, Spoon, Beck, The Killers, among many others. Very few rock bands have their zenith extend beyond 1 or 2 albums, and 4 or more is very rare. It's the nature of the beast. So one needs to continually look for new music and inspiration even if it means looking outside North America and the British Isles.
YES !!! I TOTALLY AGREE !
3-20-2020 corona virus 'lock down' ----- youtubing the hell out of some great music

They are one of the most underrated bands of all time. As well as Zebra.
And Triumph.
Love all three bands.
♥️ R.I.P. Myles thank you for the wonderful music of our lifetimes🥀🕊️😪. This is the part I dislike about getting older, we’re losing the “greats” we grew up with en masse now.
Peace to all.

One of the great guitar bands. And everybody could sing. Saw them live in the 70's.
One of Canadas finest band.
April Wine is so fine.. Kids this is what Rock and Roll looks and sounds like..Damm 3 lead guitars kicking ass
April wine the best Canadian rock band hands down
Myles, rest in peace! You brought us so much joy over the decades! The best!!
True Canadian rock royalty. Right up there with Geddy in my eyes.
RIP buddy. I’ll miss you.
April Wine and Rush were my 2 top Canadian bands ever. Listened to their music to no end back in my youth, and actually still play both a decent amount to this day. Every time i play this, i get goose bumps
Jerry Mercer just killing it. He was in his mid 40's, and a family man when this was recorded. Such an overlooked heavy duty drummer.
Overlooked by no one who has ever HEARD HIM.
Why do people say such silly things?
He is a ROCK GOD!
@@notmyname3883 I said he is overlooked because when reading about great rock drummers, he is almost never mentioned. Of course I've heard of him why did you think I was here in the first place.
@@notmyname3883 April Wine ruled but sadly were barely known outside Canada. Even drumming magazines barely mentioned Jerry compared to many drummers out there; the average Canadian and especially the average American or British listener would not have known his name. April Wine regrettably got very little radio time in America and UK. I was lucky to see them three times in concert.

My older brother introduced me to April Wine through this album and song when I was teenager..I'm 52 now.
it still gets me going after all these years. i am so impressed that a band can have so many lead guitars and they don't step on each other trying to show off. just about as professional as you can get. i hope to see you guys soon keep on rockin!

Cigarette Lighters are all we had back then.....
The most annoying thing in those days was the couple who had the girl sit on the guys shoulders blocking the view of the band. She would usually get hit with various objects such as clear plastic beer cups with a swig left in them, until she decided to get down, unless of course she was up there to show the band (and the rest of us) something more entertaining than the stage show. Those climbers were mercifully spared for some reason.
My first live concert April Wine 1983 I was 15……GOOD TIMES!
