I guess I missed the scenes in Back To The Future where Marty walks around town, throwing bowling balls at everyone.
+Immortalfire it's a deleted scene.. along with the one of Loraine throwing real human hearts at Marty who shields himself with a book and a 20 minute scene of doc brown taking a shit just before he tried to hang the clock up in the bathroom where he hit his head and invented the flux capacitor.. it's the george lucas cut of the film :D

Mischief Makers on N64 for James and Mike mondays!
It looks like collecting clocks resets the fading picture. At 29:44, the picture has almost completely faded, but you collect the 100th clock and it resets back to normal. It also seems that collecting each clock rolls the picture back. You can see it fade, you'll collect a few clocks and it'll brighten back up again, but fades almost immediately. So collecting clocks slows the fade down, collecting 100 resets the picture.
"Roads? " Where we're going we don't need roads. "Great Scott!" "1.21 Gigawatts."
I'm sure someone has probably said this, but just in case, the 100 clocks seem to make the picture full. So say the sister and brother fade away and Marty is starting to fade away, then all of them return into the picture, so I guess you could say the fade meter is full (like what happened at 29:43).
Hey Mike, what about the japanese Back to the future game, for the famicom. I remember that one being really great.

We can probably all agree that this game started off as another game and the developers just added back to the future refrences to save time.
Hey Mike, me and my cousin got through that cafe part using the NES Advantage. It has a button that can repeatedly pause games, and it works very well on the cafe and the other stages.
Dude, at Lou's cafe, you're supposed to throw the beer in advance as much as possible before the guys are on the screen. A lot of them you can hit randomly.
I know where this game fits in the timeline. You play as the Marty at the end of the movie (the one that had the successful parents) he went back in time, screwed everything up and gets to live original Marty's life.
I think the stage at the cafe throwing the drinks is taken from when George asks Lou for a chocolate milk an he slides it down the bar

My cousin owned this game. I loved the movie so much, I thought the game would be as equally enjoyable . . . I was such a stupid kid. I didn't think this game made much sense and had little connection to the actual movie.

I think the reason Marty is wearing black is is that each sprite can only have 3 colours; 4 if you count transparent.
Good programmers can work around that, but clearly none of them was working on this.

Not enough people know or enjoy that game, so it'd be pretty rad to see, I think it takes about as long as A Link To The Past does, maybe it's too long of a game, but it'd be cool.

Honestly when you really think about it, the concept of the game is really fitting for the game and existing technology of the NES at the time.
It's just the execution and design where it failed in 90% of the game.
There are some things that are cool, or fitting, but in the end...it just doesn't jive.
P.S. Someone is borrowing? Is that a hint towards future content on Cinemassacre?

I have a few copies of this last time I played one it was glitched an just kept repeating the street stage, the map kept progressing but only in a straight line until I was like going straight behind the cafe :)
All Mike's question about "why did they do it like this" or "why did they do it like that", I think have a simple answer: they most likely had a game under development when they were commisioned to develop back to the future, so they just adapted that game heheh. I would not be surprised. :)
Couldn't they at least make the bar scene top-down? And make the bully-counter start at 50 (or whatever) and count down?
It would only take about five more years before Mike finally beat this poopy game and put it in the dustbin where it belonged!

This game pissed me off soooo bad when i was a kid. I would rage quit and not play for months. Then I'd play again and remember why I hated it and rage out again, lol. Play, Rage, Quit, Repeat.
I remember renting this game when I was a kid at the local grocery store. that milk shake part sucked. took long time then after that rest was easy. never won the game. Humm maybe I might buy the game. that's a thought.

There are 99 bullies in the cafe just like with the hearts. You need to get to minimum 50 before you can move on. After that it is just for points which you will need to earn lives to finish the game judging from the way you play Mike.
I made it a point to beat this game when I was a kid. It sucked so bad though....

How is this game supposed to be for kids? Miss one heart and it's not just fail, it's back to the earlier level. This is ridiculously tough, even considering NES standards. It's not fun either.

TMNT was a game I played a lot as a child, but going back to it today is impossible. The controls are so stiff and imprecise and the level design is awful, as if the game wouldn't be hard enough in itself. With that said, It had some interesting ideas; too bad none of them were performed very well.
Played the game a long long time ago. Yep, couldn't stand it. So on the cafe, I think what happens if you hit the waitress more bullies will come after you because you pissed her off. I guess the photo on the bottom is supposed to be Marty's family photo. Marty's at the center, his sister on the left and his brother on the right.
Make a homebrew remade version of this game for the Game Boy Advance, why? Because the GBA was the last best system for 2D classics.
