That and she realized why Himmel was mad and came around to respecting dead bodies. While aura is like the narc isn’t here anymore so why would you care?
Its not perfectly conveyed in the anime, but Lugner wasnt asking Linie for help, he was trying to distract Fern with concern for Stark. It was a calculated "lie"/"taunt". Like "you better finish me quickly or your friend is gonna die", hoping that it will lead to an opening. Ironically he dies from the reverse happening. Linie didnt even for a moment entertain the thought that Lugner actually needed help fighting a "mere human". She thought he was just making the fight more entertaining for himself. She was actually trying to do the same which is why she was irritated Stark was only fighting defensively - it was boring. Her arrogance that she could kill him whenever was also why she didn't finish him off at any point; holding out for him to actually put up a fight while waiting for Lugner to finish off Fern.
@@whitefata12 Demon doing demon things? Taunting Stark perhaps with the notion she is gonna go help Lugner kill Fern? She is just bored fighting him, which she says before Fern and Lugner even start fighting. Hard to know specifically her motivation for trying to walk away from their fight since she lacks an emotional one; she did contemplate going to spectate Lugner's fight, though. However, notably, Lugner didn't ask her to help him, he told her to finish the kid off, which she specifically is not doing. Demons defy each other, on a whim, regularly in the series. Alternatively, it is possible she actually thought she was finishing him off, under the notion that the attacks she has been using is typically enough, but that has less evidence, with really the only supporting evidence being Draht vs Frieren and her criticism about his reliance on an "OP" ability.
Can confirm that's true, I know this cause I'm petty and I usually tease my opponents in br games instead of finishing them off and a good chunk of the time I got eliminated because of that 😂. Their pettiness was their downfall
The coolest part about this episode is that it shows that while Frieren and Eisen are still "stronger" than Fern and Stark, they aren't better at everything. Frieren is an extremely old mage who trained under the best mage in history, yet Fern's sheer speed and natural mana control is something Frieren cannot match. Stark has an extremely skewed view on strength because he trained under the strongest warrior which leads to his lack of confidence because he believes he's still essentially at the ground level of being a warrior, meanwhile he's able to take hits from the strongest man alive and keep going, his resilience is insane.
The idea makes sense but the logic does not. Frieren has lived for thousands of years and spent so much time learning and mastering spells, mastering mana control. There is absolutely no way a human can match her or beat her in mana control. Same for Eisen and Stark in terms of physical conditioning. It's just fantasy logic for the plot.
@@TacNuke951 Why the hell are you watching people react to and discuss anime? You don't have any self awareness. They're are literally the same people who brought us Bed Theory in Vinland Saga, because they questioned the writing.
I honestly sad Linnie is dead lmao She actually dope with the fighting style, they animated her so beautiful with the fight. Can't get enough watching her fighting
The fight really plays into Stark's characterization as someone who possesses true strength but has no confidence in it. It's as Linia said, he was only on the defensive because in his mind, he had no chance against his master. It took him 1 (one) attack to completely overwhelm her.
I believe you are heavily misreading the situation. Stark was completely overwhelmed, she had speed and technique that he simply couldn't match. The only thing she did lack was the power behind her strikes. If Stark continued to battle "correctly" he would have lost the fight. The only reason he won is because he decided to throw his life away, and take her down with him - then it turned out that Line didn't actually have enough strength to kill him in one hit. But he would have NEVER landed that hit, if not for the fact he planned on dying and taking her down with him. A strategy where you let someone bury an axe in your body - is not recommended battle style. He, unknowingly used the one thing where he had the advantage, but Line was much superior to him as a warrior - he couldn't have won in any other way.
Animating this episode so damn _smoothly_ and then contrasting it with the *_speed_* of Stark's slash was freaking brilliant of the animators. The rest of the episode being so smooth made the slash feel even faster than it normally would have.
As someone that predicted jjk season 2 will be the best anime for the fall, I have to say I had no idea what I was expecting with frieren and pluto, it's definitely between these 2, that are truly the best anime of the fall season 😊
A lot of people miss the point in showing Ferns feet when she was walking in the flashback, compared to the way she catwalks now when fighting Lugner. Its to show how much more confidence she has now compared to the past.
@@dankerbell compare how she walks in the flashback to the present. She walks like a guy or unconfident woman would, feet wide and straight. Compared to the present, she catwalks like a runway model, or like a confident woman would. Shows the growth of her as a character
Fern looking like that is just her being incredibly focused imo. There's also her knowing how demons use human emotions as a weapon, hence, her putting up a pokerface of sorts kinda help. (just my take on it tho) and then there's Stark's Lightning Strike. Now you see why the greatest warrior hero dwarf is "afraid" of Stark, a mere human being.
There's a lot of stuff they don't flat out say about how the powers in this work but we can kind of infer. Like with Fern's blasts it seems like she can fire off the little pew pew laser shots machine gun style, but if she wants to cut loose one of those big bertha cannon shots she needs to charge it up for a few seconds.
Roshi, that smile on your face is authentic, you REALLY are enjoying this show and I'm here for it, I love when you guys really are feeling it and don't have to work up to the show.
Funny enough unless you have an ability that DIRECTLY involves how much Mana you have like Aura or have some immensely powerful spell with a massive mana cost, having more mana is not that huge of a deal in the world of Frieren because it only comes into play if the battle continues long enough for a side to empty their mana. Otherwise even if you have 10X more mana than your opponent, if you do the same spell the result will be the same which is why there can be humans that can stand up to and/or beat demons or even elves with hundreds of years worth of Mana
It also helps on defense as it passively reduces the impact of any incoming attack spells. It also powers the most complex defense spells like the curse reversal magic, that eats a lot of mana.
You are correct. Match ups do matter. Esp. In Frieren where visualization is a huge part of magic. Some mages opt to not even fight if they cannot visualize their chance at victory. So yea, larger mana is convenient but it doesn't spell victory.
It may not sound as much in English, but the scales aren't stated to be a magic item with that ability. What is said is that the "Scales of Obedience" is the unique magic of Aura. In other words, the physical scales she holds are just Aura's magic staff/catalyst to channel her unique magic.
Linnie was kinda pissed that Stark was only defensive because she wanted a good fight before he died. Maybe to learn his moves. However I think it can apply to her master as well. Good scene.
About Linie's line about "he's fighting a defensive battle", I don't know what the original Japanese suggests, but the manga translation of the scene specifically identifies Stark as the one she's talking about. Could be a mistranslation or an assumption by the translator. Japanese can be really ambiguous about who or what it's referring to when it's not explicitly stated.
This anime just gets better and better. Beautiful story, characters, music and pure spectacle with the animation. Unexpectedly became one of my favorites this year
Which is wild cause i thought frieren would be a wholesome chill adventure for the feels, and jjk belongs to a genre that focuses on amazing animation and epic fights
I know we're reading subtitles, but I believe Linie wouldn't refer to "Lügner-sama" as "aitsu (= that one = he)", so Stark's the one who's being selfish just running away so she couldn't help her boss.
Something I forgot to say last week, but is still relevant (not spoiler, mostly just context and in-between the lines stuff): The reason Lugner said in the previous episode that demons surpassed Zoltrack half a century ago (so about 50 years ago) was because by that point demonkind had been fighting human mages using Zoltrack against them for about 20-30 years. While humans went with blocking Zoltrack with better barriers and with upgrades on the magic resistance of magic armors, demons went about it purely with magic resistance. Demons already focused on making their own body more resistant to magic. And since the sealing of Qual and after facing humans using Zoltrack against demons for a while, demons found a way to boost the magic resistance of their bodies to block piercing spells like Zoltrack. This is why Lugner was surprised when he got affected that much by Fern's Zoltrack, and how he figured out that it was Frieren's special modified version that is modified to work on demons. We never learn (as far as I recall) how the demon-killing version actually harms demons more, but my personal guess is that Frieren's modified version might actually target the magic particles that demons are mostly made up of. Or maybe the method is different. Regardless, it does do more harm to demons and monsters than against other stuff (like humans).
Stark reminds me of Zenitsu (who is my favorite character from Demon Slayer), in some aspects, including the lightning attack against the Demon, it was sensational, and on the emotional front, when his master told him to stand up, not to let himself go Being defeated also reminded me of the Zenitsu master when I was teaching him, I managed to make this parallel between the two characters. I'm really enjoying the anime, I hope it maintains this level until the end.
In the previous episode, the reason for the retreat wasn't the charge time of the spell. The main reasons were as follow: (in no specific order) 1- lack of confidence mixed with overestimating the demons 2- they didn't know what the demon's unique magic spells were (and it just so happen that Lugner had some of his blood around them because of his injury, and he's a blood mage so him being greatly injured only boosted his combat power. Also, if the magic wire demon was there, his spell would've killed both fern and stark quite easily due to them not being able to counter it in time with experience and high mana control like how Frieren defended against it. So sometimes knowing what the spell is can be a question of life or death.) 3- protecting the Graf(the lord) was more important 4- They were wary of what Linie(the demon girl) would do when attacking the injured Lugner. 5- Even if the charge time was small, the demons are still fast enough to defend in that time frame when not taken by surprised. For example, in this episode, Lugner started to attack Fern, then Fern shot at his heart, then Lugner switched to defend by bringing his blood back to block the shot. This means that his manipulation was still very fast and would have been able to block even when he was injured in the previous episode. Especially with his blood all around him from his injury. Also, proving that their choice at the time was the right one, Lugner was able to put his blood on Fern's clothes without her realizing. 1- She was too far from him when he got injured, so his blood couldn't have splattered on her. This means he moved it to her. 2- He moved his blood with magic and put it on her without her noticing the mana of the magic hidden in the blood until this episode when focusing on it. This means he could've turned the blood into a spike and killed her last episode. Lugner only chose not to kill her back then because he was too arrogant and because he wanted to know what the fuck the spell she used was.
Cool thing about what Frieren is doing here in her banter with Aura is how she is downplaying human magic an feeding into the demon's innate pride in their magic and mana. I don't want to spoil though i think you guys have kinda figure it out but it is all part of how Frieren was trained to fight demons
In case @lupasan is interested, I recorded that Lightning Strike at 60fps and put it into Premiere, it was EXACTLY one frame between the axe in the air and the attack being over
This episode, and really this whole series thus far, reignited my love for the fantasy anime genre. It's so damn good. This might just be my Anime of the Year.
Love the detail and attention to Stark's lightning strike how it came quite at first just like a lightning before making the thunderous roar!! Studio pushing new bounds with this masterpiece 👌
The movement animation in this show is so amazing I cant get over it. They don't even need to animate the things they do but the details make it incredible.
I'm glad Lupa appreciated that scene from Stark cleaving the demon. That was just animated so beautifully. Turn up the volume and also listen to the way they did the audio. It was absolutely priceless. I hope we get to see that move again. Clean af
If I had a nickel for every guillotine prominently featured in an anime this season, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice Tearmoon Empire is the second one BTW hahaha And yeah, this episode was all about Fern and Stark gaining confidence
I thought they were going to do the Aura fight this episode, but I'll take this expansion on Fern and Stark's fights! That shit was animated amazingly! It's great that they expanded on the fight since it was much more abbreviated in the manga! I totally didn't expect that since the fights weren't really that great in the manga (they're mostly skipped, tbh) so this was a pleasant surprise. This one and Kusuriya are my top two anime this season, but I'm pretty sure Frieren takes the cake with its amazing fight animation.
They did manage to sneak in a third chapter over the last 2 episodes (5 total) but they’re pretty much following their usual pace of 2 chapters per episode here.

So about the demon girl's comment to Stark. The way I interpreted it is that she was disappointed that she can't imitate starks fighting style fully as he only show defensive moves and non of the offense moves. It is incomplete so she draws out the battle hoping to stark would go on the offensive. She could just use magic and stay at a distance where stark can't touch her but her pride as a master of one skill: imitation require she imitate Stark's skill.
Actually, she was irritated at the fact that she couldn't seem to do any significant damage to Stark, no matter how hard she hit him. He was way too durable for her. The only reason she lasted as long as she did was because Stark was too far in his own head to go on the offensive. Once he found that resolve, Linie was a goner.
@@ringlast5730 Yeah, she got arrogant and underestimated Stark because she managed to hit him with attacks that would have killed most people. But Stark isn't most people. And, like I said before, the only reason she held the advantage initially was because Stark was too unsure of himself to even try going on the offensive. He would have one-shot her immediately if he had been more confident.
Fern really my fav character after Frieren. Both so cold and Fern really took it from master. What I like the most about this fight is their character is shown even in fight, they so consistent for it and I love it. Btw 4:34 is the chief's son right? I think the sword is the same and 5:28 I think Frieren is considering or expecting Aura which much more powerful to have feelings and heart like human. but Frieren concluded from the conversation, demon still a demon.
I like that Fern went up against Lügner and stark with Linie instead of the trope of when there's male and female pair of protagonist and antagonist then you know the dudes gonna brawl, and the girls gonna have a chick fight.
Even though stark didn't do much in this episode but for me , all it take for him to get the spot is that last atk (lightning strike). The Star of this ep is stark 🥰
The whole arrogance thing is both true and untrue. He could've caught her off guard in the beginning, but like he said about their other compatriot who lost to Frieren "do you think he would simply lose by underestimating his opponent?" Underestimating in both senses is used in the sense of not just believing their opponent is weak, but that they believed their opponents were weaker than themselves. Like if a bunny squared up to you, you wouldn't take it seriously. But if after you started fighting the bunny it was hitting you harder then you were hitting them, that's not you underestimating them, that bunny is just built different! So it's not just an underestimation of their opponents, but their opponents were way beyond what they should be power wise from the jump! Again if you found out a bunny beat someone you knew to death the thought of "Oh I guess they just underestimated that bunny" would never cross your mind. Instead you'd be thinking "What the F%$# kinda bunny can do something like that?" If that makes sense.
She wasn't calling Lugner arrogant, she was called Stark arrogant. He was the one being arrogant, instead of actually fighting he was basically fleeing the fight cus he still wasn't co fident enough that he would land a strike. He was the one fighting defensive. You can easily notice by the pronouns she uses. He always calls Lugner by his name and Sama, she does so during her fught against Stark too. But in that sentence shew was being heavily informal, so she was talking about Stark.
@@JoshuaDMarti 14:40 she's talking about Lugner. Or at least this is the moment in the reaction I was replying too. She might have said something about arrogance earlier on about Stark, but my comment was in reference to what they were discussing at this time stamp.

@@JoshuaDMarti No, I'm comparing Sheera's comment about Lugner being arrogant at 14:40 to how Linnie said in the last episode that the other demon, Draht, who was with them lost to frieren because he underestimated her. But this episode Lugner underestimated Fern in the same way Draht Underestimated Frieren. ALSO: I just realized in my original post I put Fern when I meant Frieren so that is my bad! Now that I've swapped the names maybe it'll make sense what I was trying to say.
@@kayl23 Sheera always does this thing were she has seeing other series she thinks all the series use the same formula which they don't but to her defense if this was other type of anime and not Frieren, Fern beating Lugner is quite literally a weaker protagonist just wining because the stronger Villain underestimated her and won because of the power of Friendship.. But we know that's not the case.. SPOILERS: Lugner like any other type of animal being would never attack something they know they would lose the fight so he wasn't arrogant just that everything as a species that demon are were saying she is weaker her mana pool, her physique, her spells all this things which Lugner was not wrong.. He was more Mana, Stronger Spells and a lot more experience in fights.. But obviously he was deceive not because of arrogance but that's how demons work they would never think the person infront of them are not showing 100% their strength because that would be ridiculous for them. Fern was showing less mana even though her mana was not even close to the maximum of Lugner, Lugner would have been a lot more aware that he was fighting some stronger that it shows. He was specting to let Fern use all her mana because he was slower than her, but he thought she would lose if the fight was long enough.
sheera been thw secret writer. now i just realized that stark was only in defensive bec thats how he trained with his master. but as soon as he take offensive eisen got scared and beat the shit outta him
Yo, you know what would be hilarious?? A german guy being isekaid and all the bosses have german names like Lügner, so mc would just know what he has to look out for and everyone would just be confused af
Kinda off topic, but I wish Momo from HeroAca had Linnie's fighting style. Instead of using Mana to make weapons, she just makes the weapons with her quirk. But with the physicality to use multiple weapons in quick succession. The spear toss, land, and then flinging the dagger was so god damn clean.
Stark: a beast who simply never stays down Fern: the machine gun of magic casters these two are powerful enough in their own right, but because of their unique traits they stand out even more in battle. Stark is SUPER strong, yes, but his main drawback is his cowardice and that keeps him from using full strength a lot. but once he's actually in the battle, his "fuck you" durability and resilience is what shines imo and for Fern, she has a pretty damn solid amount of mana but it isn't how much she has that's impressive, it's her RIDICULOUS speed with it. Frieren might be a jack-of-all-trades random-bullshit spellcaster with more spells than humans can even name, but Fern is a master of simply spamming Level One Magic Blast at super speed until her opponent just fucking melts LMAO

Her arrogance that she could kill him whenever was also why she didn't finish him off at any point; holding out for him to actually put up a fight while waiting for Lugner to finish off Fern.
where was this said in the manga
if this was the case, why linie keep on trying to not finish stark and go away to where lugner is as fast as possible?
Stark has an extremely skewed view on strength because he trained under the strongest warrior which leads to his lack of confidence because he believes he's still essentially at the ground level of being a warrior, meanwhile he's able to take hits from the strongest man alive and keep going, his resilience is insane.
stark is really him 🤣 gave a manicure and one shotted dragon and ate the powerful hit from the demon and one shotted her too
The idea makes sense but the logic does not. Frieren has lived for thousands of years and spent so much time learning and mastering spells, mastering mana control. There is absolutely no way a human can match her or beat her in mana control. Same for Eisen and Stark in terms of physical conditioning. It's just fantasy logic for the plot.

Why the hell are you watching people react to and discuss anime? You don't have any self awareness.
They're are literally the same people who brought us Bed Theory in Vinland Saga, because they questioned the writing.
I honestly sad Linnie is dead lmao
She actually dope with the fighting style, they animated her so beautiful with the fight. Can't get enough watching her fighting
Her fighting style is honestly what sharigan should have been
Copy paste fighting styles and techniques and merging them between each other
The fight really plays into Stark's characterization as someone who possesses true strength but has no confidence in it.
This man Lügner was really stunlocked by a mage thats hilarious 🤣
Animating this episode so damn _smoothly_ and then contrasting it with the *_speed_* of Stark's slash was freaking brilliant of the animators. The rest of the episode being so smooth made the slash feel even faster than it normally would have.
As someone that predicted jjk season 2 will be the best anime for the fall, I have to say I had no idea what I was expecting with frieren and pluto, it's definitely between these 2, that are truly the best anime of the fall season 😊
facts lol
Pluto was so amazing, anime of the year for me😊
True
Jjk s2 has been great, but the storytelling is not a masterpiece, pluto and frieren clears
I see no lies
A lot of people miss the point in showing Ferns feet when she was walking in the flashback, compared to the way she catwalks now when fighting Lugner. Its to show how much more confidence she has now compared to the past.
fern's feet 🧐
@@dankerbell compare how she walks in the flashback to the present.
She walks like a guy or unconfident woman would, feet wide and straight.

@@Reaperherpderpu r bad at reading the thoughts of a commenter
Fern looking like that is just her being incredibly focused imo.
There's also her knowing how demons use human emotions as a weapon, hence, her putting up a pokerface of sorts kinda help. (just my take on it tho)
and then there's Stark's Lightning Strike.
Now you see why the greatest warrior hero dwarf is "afraid" of Stark, a mere human being.
I like that Fern didn't use her left hand since her shoulder was injured. Nice detail.
Roshi, that smile on your face is authentic, you REALLY are enjoying this show and I'm here for it, I love when you guys really are feeling it and don't have to work up to the show.

that shot of frierens feet slowly descending together with the epic music is so badass. I could imagine the One Winged angel Theme playing
You can cast more/bigger spells. But there’ll be something in next episode going more into detail
It's still an important aspect in a battle. Judging the mana of your opponent wrong can cause you to lose a fight.
You are correct. Match ups do matter. Esp. In Frieren where visualization is a huge part of magic. Some mages opt to not even fight if they cannot visualize their chance at victory. So yea, larger mana is convenient but it doesn't spell victory.
Love it when animators are like "We cooked. E n j o y ..."
The editor always adds such good stuff to these reactions
It may not sound as much in English, but the scales aren't stated to be a magic item with that ability. What is said is that the "Scales of Obedience" is the unique magic of Aura.
In other words, the physical scales she holds are just Aura's magic staff/catalyst to channel her unique magic.
Villains deciding to fight someone who pulled up solo dolo to fight them and their army is wild to me
Linnie was kinda pissed that Stark was only defensive because she wanted a good fight before he died. Maybe to learn his moves. However I think it can apply to her master as well. Good scene.
Stark really ate all those attacks while injured and then when he hits Linie once she gets destroyed 😂
he be like you done bitch, fine now my turn and see if you can eat it😂
They cut my favorite part where the demon said he'd try to beat Fern by dragging the fight but immediately realized he'd still loose
It wasn’t immediate, it was after fern kept blasting away without stopping while he was blocking.
Sheera cooking with the accurate battle sense at 11:57, her analysis was spot on haha
Frieren is about to stand on business next episode😭
Frieren about to show that she's HER
The b section of this episode has one of, if not the best fighting and movement sequences this year🔥
About Linie's line about "he's fighting a defensive battle", I don't know what the original Japanese suggests, but the manga translation of the scene specifically identifies Stark as the one she's talking about. Could be a mistranslation or an assumption by the translator. Japanese can be really ambiguous about who or what it's referring to when it's not explicitly stated.
Fun fact: Lugner shares the same VA with Sukuna
And Stark is Gabimaru from Hells Paradise
This anime just gets better and better. Beautiful story, characters, music and pure spectacle with the animation. Unexpectedly became one of my favorites this year
JJK and Frieren are competing to see who has the most epic fight scenes.
Which is wild cause i thought frieren would be a wholesome chill adventure for the feels, and jjk belongs to a genre that focuses on amazing animation and epic fights
in terms of hype, it goes for JJK but in terms of the direction and how the fight is i'd go for frieren, it's just perfect.
Frieren fights looks and is animated WAYYYY better! Also don't forget about Undead Unluck!
This season eating good.
JJK, Frieren, AOT. Blessed.
Frieren stomps tbh
I know we're reading subtitles, but I believe Linie wouldn't refer to "Lügner-sama" as "aitsu (= that one = he)", so Stark's the one who's being selfish just running away so she couldn't help her boss.
Something I forgot to say last week, but is still relevant (not spoiler, mostly just context and in-between the lines stuff):
The reason Lugner said in the previous episode that demons surpassed Zoltrack half a century ago (so about 50 years ago) was because by that point demonkind had been fighting human mages using Zoltrack against them for about 20-30 years.
The main reasons were as follow: (in no specific order)
1- lack of confidence mixed with overestimating the demons
2- they didn't know what the demon's unique magic spells were (and it just so happen that Lugner had some of his blood around them because of his injury, and he's a blood mage so him being greatly injured only boosted his combat power. Also, if the magic wire demon was there, his spell would've killed both fern and stark quite easily due to them not being able to counter it in time with experience and high mana control like how Frieren defended against it. So sometimes knowing what the spell is can be a question of life or death.)
3- protecting the Graf(the lord) was more important
4- They were wary of what Linie(the demon girl) would do when attacking the injured Lugner.
Lugner only chose not to kill her back then because he was too arrogant and because he wanted to know what the fuck the spell she used was.
bro said budget like this entire show doesn't look like it has infinite budget, this is some of the best animation ever. Madhouse is just insane man
Cool thing about what Frieren is doing here in her banter with Aura is how she is downplaying human magic an feeding into the demon's innate pride in their magic and mana.

The movement animation in this show is so amazing I cant get over it. They don't even need to animate the things they do but the details make it incredible.
Roshi just don't wanna be wrong lol, she was talking about stark when she said he was just acting defensively
I'm glad Lupa appreciated that scene from Stark cleaving the demon. That was just animated so beautifully. Turn up the volume and also listen to the way they did the audio. It was absolutely priceless. I hope we get to see that move again. Clean af
Fern just switched from single fire to full auto with that speed casting. PEAK
If I had a nickel for every guillotine prominently featured in an anime this season, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
Tearmoon Empire is the second one BTW hahaha
And yeah, this episode was all about Fern and Stark gaining confidence
This is why I love passion projects 🙏
Fern didn't let off of right trigger for a second. She must have the Sleight of Hand perk equipped.
Just like with Naruto vs pain I always like the manga fights. Thus was beautiful to watch though. I guess when padding is done right and beautiful it's excusable

Y’all really do reaction videos RIGHT! Timing of editing feels great and y’all have the perfect amount of commentary while also watching the episode again myself :)
I must admit i really like Linies fighting style. That fight was epic! If only she would not be a deamon. I almost feel sad for her.
Fern's ping is basically 0-5 ms, whilst lugner's 199-300 ms
@@haydenblazier6751 pretty sure anyone is gonna die from a headshot which she have multiple times to do when stark is down but didn't.
@@kayl23they got it wrong. Linie commented on Startk, not Lugner. It was the contrary, she knew that Lugner would get mad if she didn't arrive. She never criticized him cus he told her that Fern was a skilled mage that could kill her.
She was talking about Stark.
@@JoshuaDMarti No, I'm comparing Sheera's comment about Lugner being arrogant at 14:40 to how Linnie said in the last episode that the other demon, Draht, who was with them lost to frieren because he underestimated her. Linnie was talking about Draht(The one who tried to cut off Frieren's head) last episode when she said "He underestimated her" not Lugner.
SPOILERS:
Lugner like any other type of animal being would never attack something they know they would lose the fight so he wasn't arrogant just that everything as a species that demon are were saying she is weaker her mana pool, her physique, her spells all this things which Lugner was not wrong..
So kinda like Maki from JJK but can spawn weapons at will.

Idk when Idk how but Frieren definitely gave birth to Fern
Stark: a beast who simply never stays down
Fern: the machine gun of magic casters
these two are powerful enough in their own right, but because of their unique traits they stand out even more in battle.
Stark is SUPER strong, yes, but his main drawback is his cowardice and that keeps him from using full strength a lot. but once he's actually in the battle, his "fuck you" durability and resilience is what shines imo
and for Fern, she has a pretty damn solid amount of mana but it isn't how much she has that's impressive, it's her RIDICULOUS speed with it. Frieren might be a jack-of-all-trades random-bullshit spellcaster with more spells than humans can even name, but Fern is a master of simply spamming Level One Magic Blast at super speed until her opponent just fucking melts LMAO
