Now I understand why in the Philippines women have so much economic and political power. In the Philippines, we even have a tradition that the mother handles the family's wealth. Men earn the money, but it is the women who decide how to spend it. The tradition is Austronesian. Very interesting.

@@jayab.9384 First of all, why do you related it to religion, got nothing to do with that even it stated in the Quran, are you Malaysian? or even a Malay? Pls check Negeri Sembilan, who have the more rights on properties left by their parents? For East Coast especially Kelantan and Terengganu, who controls the economy? @Jaya B. I don't know you, you might be Indian by your name there... If so, you are not qualified to make a comment on behalf of a Malay.

Austronesians also called Malayo-Polynesians are the seafaring people of the Asia Pacific and Madagascar. For example natives of Taiwan, Micronesia, Philippines, Indonesia, Hainan, Singapore, Tahiti, Easter Island 🗿, Tonga, Malaysia, New Zealand

Filipinos is the highest per ratio Austronesian population in the world with DNA paternal haplo group O1a... While Indonesia and Malaysians were heavily mixed Austronesian DNA O1a and Austroasiatics DNA O2 ... But the austronesian migrants to Malaysia and Indonesia won the linguistics spreading against the Austroasiatics natives there
