When you mentioned karls mouth always hanging open I immediately thought of "Cletus the slack jawed yokel" song from the Simpsons. I think they make Karl carry Warwick at some stage of the trip and I believe they got the idea from what Karl said in this program.
17 to 7°C makes a ton of difference in terms of the clothes you wear, so it's understandable. We just had a similar but reverse change in weather here (it was freezing at night a couple of weeks ago, and now it's basically Summer), and I now realise that I had forgot how much people smell when they sweat. I can't imagine living somewhere like Mongolia or Siberia where you get temperature swings of 20+ degrees instead.

Warwick has a keen sense of humour, there are many things that are done to annoy on the sly as he knows Karl finds him a freak. Reality ofc is he is a man born in Britian, picked up British things as a person and his life expirience has been as a dwarf, something out of his control, yet he has all most people want, a happy life. That's what makes this series so funny, in my opinion. I am pretty sure they met before this in a video if you look it up, Warwick is sitting on a n arm of an arm chair Karl is sitting in and Karl is being Karl. Also , I love siamese cats so independant and moody and then needy and pulsing their claws in when purring ...seal point?
My favorite part of the series is how Warick has such an optimistic view of the world and gets better treatment from the production crew, (better sleeping accommodations, etc...) but karl forces him to see the other side more, like the severed dog's head and things like that
Depending which upload you watch of series 3 , some have a "next time" bit previewing the next episode at the end of the episode which I would suggest avoiding. Likewise, skip the intro again

A giant versus a dwarf. What would really be funny is if Ricky paired Karl up with someone who's just like Karl. Imagine Karl talking to himself. The things he usually says to others, he would be hearing addressed back to himself. That would have been funny.

I think idiot abroad 3 is the only time I don’t like Karl. He’s one of my favourite human beings but he’s just awful and dehumanising to Warwick, he treats him like a thing and not a person and is so rude. It gets really uncomfortable at times. I’ve seen season 1&2 probably 50 times. I’ve watched this one once.
