No filter on Karl, haha. "Tough paper round" was a great comeback. And Karl looking at the audience and saying "where did you get these?". He really just says what he thinks. Alan Carr and Graham Norton are two great interviewers. Norton gets my top spot though.

A paper round… delivering newspapers to homes… being a job you have while still at school. So Karl was hinting at a bit of a hard life while young making Alan look older.

@Mandy Cane Lane when I worked as a chef, when it got super hot (it's even worse in a commercial kitchen) I would just set up a workspace in the walk in fridge and do my prep there. It was amazing 😊. Sometimes wish I had one at home.

He said he gets spots from drinking out of cans. It depends how the cans are stored before being shipped out to the shops I remember a comic (John Thompson) saying how he never drank out of cans because he had a warehouse job when young and could hear the rats scampering over the stored cans, and not just scampering...
'Skirting board' is what we, in the UK call the wooden board around the bottom of a wall between it and the carpet. 'Tipping Point' is something I never would have imagined they'd make a show of, those 'Penny Waterfalls' they used to have in amusement arcades!
No power, no fan in 33 degree heat... I wouldn't get a second of sleep. I live in Scandinavia, and if it gets a smidge above 25, I hate everything and just lay by the fan, cooling down. I detest warm weather.

Karl has always been a reluctant "star", people love him because there's no edge to him ... he was out of his comfort zone at the beginning off the video, you can see his hand shaking when pouring the larger ... There are a few episodes of 'The Moaning of Life' on YT but they have been difficult to react to at times, if you manage to watch them remember the spoilers are at the beginning & end of the programme ... excellent reaction Mandy ☺ ... when are ya doing a (near) Manchester tour ? 🤔😀

Yes. I live in Argentina. Very poor country. Power grids are very old and haven't been upgraded properly in ages.

Sorry, why's the electric going out Mandy? I can't understand why no-one else is asking.
Because this country is trash and they don't provide a proper power grid. Since we are in the middle of a very intense heat wave people are using more power than at other times (air conditionings, fans, freezers, refrigerators on high, etc) and they overpowered the current cables and burned them all. They don't want to properly change the cables so they just keep patching the line. That fix only lasts a couple of hours then burns again in another area. Been like this the last 10 days
