Daniel, Pompei, The Colosseum, The Roman Forum and many more, all ancient. I travel to Italy because of the ancient history. Its not just medieval and Renaissance that came after.
Warwick is great in this. Agree with Daniel that poking the bear brings it to another dimension. What was all that pixelation about? Especially at what's probably the most fascinating part. We're big boys and girls here and certainly don't get the vapours at seeing the traditions, spoiled that whole section.
Italy isn't just about the medieval period and the renaissance. The most ancient known surviving building in Egypt is 4700 years old while the most ancient known surviving building in Italy is 5650 years old. However, to be fair, Egypt does have more ancient buildings than Italy but not the oldest. The oldest known surviving building in China, on the other hand, is only 2250 years old. Another point is that, whereas in Egypt the pyramids are basically intact and located in the desert, in Italy you have layers upon layers of history. For example you can walk into a modern shop and, on the basement level, have an ancient roman road (dating back at least 2000 years, running right through the building. In Naples there's are underground ruins of an ancient city which can be visited. Over the centuries people kept building upon the previous layers and you have a fascinating mix of styles, periods and cultures. As someone who works in the field of construction I'm sure Daniel would find this fascinating. You don't really get a sense of the wealth and richness of it all in videos or documentaries.
Er... there are plenty of ancient things in Italy. Magna Greece in the South and that whatchamacallit it thingamajig, the Roman Empire! Unbelievably effing ancient!

You wouldn't visit Italy? Then you don't know what a treat you're missing.
Should watch life's to short with Warwick Davis very funny
Somebody has probably already said it, the second W in Warwick is silent, it's pronounced War ick.
You guys do know there are more series of this, it was rebranded as “Moaning of Life”
After this you have 2 Seasons of Moaning of life which is similar but just about life.. and then you’ve got Sick of it which is really funny too
Karl is the world most lovable curmudgeon.
Sufism is not a religion. It's a type of mysticism practiced by some Muslims. Also, most Sufi orders don't practice that piercing thing. In fact, it is extremely rare. You can even be a Sufi without being a Muslim. For example, I was initiated into a Sufi order back in the 80s and I have never heard of this body piercing. It's a gentle and loving form of mysticism that focuses on the heart.
39:00 is this the first time Karl has taken responsibility for something? That's progress I guess.
I'm like Karl 😂 I'm not a fan of parties lol I can understand why he feels uncomfortable in that dressing up party
@embrace the suck Rick once said he would love to spend time away with Karl in a campervan I'd love to start an Internet campaign to make that happen
Ah the series where they finally pushed Karl too far.
