It's an app called TrackAddict for the iphone that sits on my handlebars. In my later video (at Cadwell Park) i also now have an obd reader that plugs into the bike and connects back to the app over bluetooth. Gives things like revs, throttle position etc too. You then mix it all together with video from the GoPro using the RaceRender software on a PC.
Yeah, that was quite a bad wide line. The camber of the track throws you off to the right if you enter that corner wrong too. Hence on other laps i'm tucked to the left as much as poss!
Was curious to see, triple cc?, looks quickish!! But my 2005 Suzuki GSF 650 BANDIT, NOT A BANDIT S, BETTER THAN A BANDIT S, would be a whole lot OF FURIOUS ACCELERATION, sort of time vortex enhancing 2 wheeled machine. And I couldn't get anywhere near the red-line at 12,000 RPM, seriously, any gear near 6,000 RPM and the Bandit gets HYPER FAST, it was a TOTAL JOY!!!. In 1985 I Was taking a letter Glasgow to Leeds, courier, KAWA. GT750, I stopped for fuel near Carlisle, hose in tank, POLICE Granada comes flying in 'your under arrest, we've been chasing you for 30 miles doing over 120mph, God knows what you were doing?', DUMFRIES SHERIFF COURT SAID 138MPH, 3 months ban, 50 pounds fine. GPZ750TURBO was a cracking bike, a lot faster than the GT750 which was a solid, planted Workhorse of a bike. The Turbo was very quick, whole lot of fun, the Bandit 650 is fun, on a new level of joy FANTASTIC.!!!!! BRING BACK BANDITS B.B.B., BANDITS ARE THE BEST BIKES. AND I AIN'T EVEN LYING.
What???, At Banditaholic meetings, they say talk of Bandit Times to ease the ACHE of no longer being a Mad Banditateer, Mad??, people would say, Take care, I had to say, Not possible, see gap, Bandit finds Gap. Sheet, a Total Biking joy. Coming across a Perfect Storm,,2nd,3rd, 4th gear, regular as clockwork, remember 4th, just before 4,000rpm.BAM!!!, Felt like an industrial catapult fired it off, totally upright, PROPELLED forward, all at the back wheel, arm's limp, body slouched, TIME VORTEX, BUBBLE, Tunnel scenario. At least 58, 59 times more biking joy, than in 84, my nearly new Kawasaki 750turbo, couriered on it, planted fast travel, but almost Certain, turbo wouldn't do over 80 mph, before the red line, in 2nd gear, Bandit 650 i., Easy Peasy, front wheel, down, at all times, in 2nd, but sheet!!!, Flew forward, SPECTACULAR. 4th gear?, 6,500rpm. said 92 mph, Actual 89 mph, red lines at 12,000, WHAT, no what NO, YES, BEST BIKE EVER, AND I'm not even lying. Prof.Bandit650 i.out.
Luke Pas Haha, cheers. Lots of reasons. They're a very easy and confidence inspiring bike to ride. They're light weight and well balanced meaning late braking and cornering is easier. And they're a bit low on power compared to a lot of super sports so they don't try and bite you and high side in corners. You can easily exit a corner on 100% throttle without worry. I've just about out grown mine now and wanting more power but I can't recommend them enough as a first road or track bike. They upset a lot of higher powered and higher spec bikes.
Thanks for this great video mate. This shows very well, how fast a Street Triple R can be on the track with an experienced driver on it.
Well done. Not exactly slow that little triple,Love it!
Donald Duck I’ve upgraded to a Daytona now which is faster, but I do miss this bike. It was a right hoot to ride on track!
Awesome. Congrats.
How does it feel to ride a naked bike at the track ? I am going to buy the same bike mainly for city but track day every now and then.
Very nice looking track
Nice laps sir
how do you get the data for the video overlay?
