I love this entire reaction. The breakdown is incredible and the fact that you couldn't help but stank face at Tori, same dude, same.
i was at this concert it was CRAZY to have them both walk out and its so cool to see what he was playing with your help!!!
I was about to try and learn the Jacob section chords by ear, this video is a godsend, liked and subbed bro 😁👍
Literally here cos i was watching the John Legend cover. Have a like sir.
You, sir, have a great ear! Thanks for this breakdown of a masterpiece ✨🎵🙌🏽
Your chord analyzation line helped immensely, even though it turned B into C flat during Tori's turn. I know that's the "right" way, and that's why it does it. I can adjust. I'm going to have to watch again, while at the keyboard, paying attention to your keyboard display, now that I've seen the video Premier, and watched part again, and now saw your video once for a harmonic and voicing overview. My goal isn't to copy it exactly, vut to be able to play along in the pocket at tempo. Roughly... I'm no perfectionist, and I would've missed so much without this video.
Very nice bro 😊
Was waiting for this video 😁
Sneaky little McD commercial at 17:09
Dude! I don’t even play piano, but love listening to your breakdowns.
When I saw you doing a video on this, I knew things will get difficult for you when he turns on that glide. Idk how you will do this, I'm typing this while watching the early part.
Haha, great work!
The thing is record version is not even playable with regular tuned keyboards lol. Nothing super profound going on micro tonality but definitely it has ear pleasing effect like Jacob mentioned: it is like 4k resolution of music.
Great video! Your reaction and breakdowns are awesome! Could you maybe consider checking out the (acoustic-ish) version of the song "The Guy I Used To Be" by the band "Lawrence"? It's a fantastic band with a great jazz and gospel vibe. I've been trying to figure out the chords myself, but I haven't had much luck so far.
Your pitch is pretty good! Near perfect I assume?😄
as an 81 year old jazz pianist-jazz and classical composer, I know you really know your music theory and harmony, but I really dislike your presentation as a reactor. We get no context to which you are reacting! It would be far more satisfying-both in context emotionally and instructively-if you played at minimum one or two phrases, but still better, the piece in its entirety. And then, go about and analyze the piece. You’re going to do what you wish, but as a musician for 65 years (Bill Evans-type pianist), it’s my opinion this method would be more satisfying to we the listeners!
Maybe he could just suggest in the start that people go and view the original video first and then come back for the dissection?
As an X, Y and Z, I can now present my opinion as being more important than if I weren't X, Y or Z...
man, ur very underrated
