Congrats on the purchase! We have a similar story, I worked for Ferrari for 1 years back when these were a current model and then eventually bought one after being a mechanic and in the auto industry for 2 decades. I love the 360!

      😅
I'm EXTREMELY thankful to be able to have these cars flat out, and I love sharing them with others so they can experience them too. I take every opportunity to let people take rides, sit in them and check them out because thats what they're for. Also I enjoy giving back and trying to teach what I know based on my history and what i've been through with wrenching in the past. Hopefully this helps others be able to own these down the road and enjoy them just as i am.
As for the lift i'm still torn on doing that or not still. I might try to see how it goes to do the basic service items first and see if it bothers me enough to do something about it. Who knows, I may end up getting to that sooner than i think or maybe not at all. I'll keep throwing the content out as long as you guys are watching!

Good insight for people looking to get into a lower mileage 360 or F430. Both great driver cars vs the newer Ferraris that aren’t as visceral of an experience. Great content!

Well said. I absolutely think the 458 is about the "last of the old" in my opinion. The driving experience is just...more raw and original. The newer stuff is just different.

There was one up the street looks just like yours in Puyallup,WA a month ago for $70K I believe. It’s gone! One of my favorite cars! I’ll get one!

They're in the sweet spot era of Ferrari cars. They're still raw and have soul. Anything much past the 458 and i feel this gets lost quite a bit going forward. Timeless design for sure and very beautiful car. They have dipped a little in price but i don't imagine that will be for long.

I’ll also be replacing coolant, proactively replacing the main coolant hoses closest to the engine that are prone to failure, and replacing the thermostat, as I suspect mine might be one of the ones that were shipped to the US with 160* thermostats. It’s almost impossible to get it up to temp in the cold weather. Either that, or it’s just a 20 year old Tstat that needs replacing. Either way, that’s getting done too.

Yep, i've got thermostat + gaskets and heat exchanger along with boots on my list. Also hoses hopefully replaced with the silicone versions so i don't have to go back in there to replace anything one by one.
