    Video Thank you. I'm watching from Japan. I watched all the past videos. I was able to convert the subtitles for the past videos, but the subtitles for recent videos are off and I can't understand the words. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you three questions: What is the tightening torque value for the plug? How many millimeters did you check the clearance of the plug? Is the plug socket the same 16mm socket as the Ferrari 360? Thank you for your support.

    • @Fix-it-Tribe
      @Fix-it-Tribe 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I am not sure why the subtitles are off. I'll have to take a look at that and see if i can do anything to fix or improve this. I don't honestly remember if the 16mm socket is used for the Ferrari 360 drain plug, it's been a long time since i've worked on a ferrari 360. As for the spark plug torque spec on the maserati, it is 10Nm or about 7.5 Ft/lbs. I rounded up to 8 ft/lbs. As for the spark plug gap, the factory gap calls for 0.025 inches or 0.635 mm. I updated the video description for this as well. Thank you for reminding me to do so and thanks for watching!

    • @amgamg93
      @amgamg93 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for your reply The plug tightening torque is 10Nm. Plug clearance is 0.635mm. Thank you for your reference my explanation was not enough My Ferrari 360 has a plug wrench 16mm socket. So Maserati also has a 16 mm plug socket? My car is M139 Quattroporte GTS Up until videos from about 3 months ago, you could choose from a variety of subtitles such as Japanese and English, but the current videos have all subtitles disabled 😭 Please note that the document may be unnatural because I converted it with Google Translate.

      Thats a fair question. My trunk does have the 12v socket but I already had the battery tender kit which came with its own connections. I have to do this on the passenger side! I'm absolutely surprised how thin some of the plastic areas are on that little cover, I've owned a plastics manufacturing company for 3 decades and I would never have designed something so fragile! JB weld works fine, however I prefer the devcon plastic welder that is black in color because it has a bit of ABS in it and it tends to bond quite well do other plastics if they are solvent bondable... IE polycarbonate, abs, styrene, PVC and the like...

    • @Fix-it-Tribe

      You would think they wouldn't cheap out on something like that. I don't know that I would have been able to repair it as a few pieces were missing from the cover. Might have been able to fab something new if i had some material. Either way totally possible though as you mentioned with plastic welding and the right materials.

      They all start somewhat loud. If you keep sport mode off then the muffler exhaust valves stay closed and quiet it down after a minute. I’ll try to do a driving video with some new equipment here soon so you can hear from the outside in sport mode.

      Look into a muffler valve controller. I think by default it opens the valves on startup for a brief bit and then closes them for startup purposes to give it that loud startup (dont quote me on this but that what it seems like it does). You might check to see if you can find a way to control those valves to keep them closed and then flip a switch to let them operate normally once you get out of the neighborhood. Worth a bit of research before selling. Thanks for the support! Looking forward to making more videos and posting more stuff!

      Sounds even better in person. I'll try to get more footage soon from the rear of the car and driving.

    Can you do one replacing the spark plugs

    • @Fix-it-Tribe
      @Fix-it-Tribe หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe factory recommends 12/yr 75K miles for spark plugs. I'm not close to that on mileage alone, but since my GT is a 2013 that would put me at 2025 timeframe for plug change with the 12 years. I'll add it to the todo list and put together a video. Thanks for the request!

    No check engine lights? You did an amazing job! I have a 2017 GT MC.

      @@HISVOICE4LIFE Thanks! No check engine lights. The adapters that came with the sport cats that screw into the O2 sensor bungs made all the difference here.

    Did you end up installing the brackets back on or no? My shop didn’t install them back in, wasn’t sure if they didn’t bc it didn’t fit to the aftermarket cats or if they forgot

      I installed the OEM brackets back on. I had to bend them ever so slightly, but honestly not much. They mostly fit right back on.

    Hey when replacing the battery do you need to charge it right away for a few hours? Or should you let it run down to 0% and than charge it to 100%?

      Yep! After installing it, its a good idea to charge it up all the way and then let it die completely before recharging it again.
