hmm, why others say only apply oil on the dirty side? They said applying oil on the clean side risk damaging the maf sensor

Acc1, Really? Think about it, you apply the Filter Oil so that the Air Filter is an even pink color, both front and back. Do you think the Air Filter Media is small enough to keep the Filter Oil from passing thru? If you put to much Filter Oil on the Filter it may cause an issue, not which side you apply the Filter Oil to. - Stiles

@StilesAutomotive the oil is to stop debris as in dirt to get through hence why it is only needed on the one side

@Hutchy86 Interesting, you must also think the Filter Media is fine enough to keep the Oil on the dirty side of the Filter. Does your Filter turn pink on the clean side? - Stiles

@StilesAutomotive apologies. Turns out you are right. There is so much miss information out there regarding K&N filters. Whether that’s washing from both sides, oiling from both sides ect.
Anyway, I take it you like K&N filters which I do. There’s a lot of stuff out there saying K&N let a lot more contaminants into your engine over a OEM filter. Have you done any tests or noticed anything?
😑
😊
Your spray bottle sucks……..
Ledger, I believe it was retired just after I shot this video. It an old Spray Bottle repurposed which wasn't compatible with the K&N Air Filter Oil. - Stiles
They also did tests on the oil and the test results show less silica, less lead ,less iorn then paper filters so the people saying they don't filter well see absolutely full of shit
GoodFella, Ya, I'm with you! Think about the liability if K&N hadn't done their testing work on the Air Filters. And you know K&N is the same great American company that they have been for years and years. When other Formerly Great American Companies, like Moog, Raybestos, and so many other of my (formerly) favorite Brands have gone to Chinese Junk. Yep, I've used K&N Air Filters for years and I like them. I appreciate your comment! - Stiles
