I had a Greenstar 2000 boiler with a Comfort 2 rf thermostat fitted two years ago.
Thermostat told me boiler didn’t have adequate water in system so I filled it up and the heating and hot water worked fine.
An hour later i turned down the heating on the thermostat but an hour later I noticed the radiators were still hot.
I done a boiler reset and checked the batteries in the thermostat and the rf pairing seems ok.
The thermostat says the heating is OFF but it isn’t .
The only way I can put the heating on and off is at the main switch.
Does anybody know what the problem could be ?
    Any help much appreciated 👍

So it depends, if it’s a boiler repair and I need to loosen a nut and it was really stuck then the first thing I would do is use some penetrant WD40, and let it sit for a minute or two. Then try again with a longer spanner.

The other thing that can do it is a pump speed being set too high causing cavitation if the flow around the system is restricted due to pipe work size.
