I dont do shooting so i would just buy the without applied ballistics. However, i wonder if the applied ballistics have more battery life than the just delta solar
I can’t see that happening as this has the same ballistic engine as the Kestrel. So no need to double up is the answer I got from a Applied elastics team.
The Sig binoculars will send Distance, angel of fire, and direction of fire to your watch. Your watch then correlates a firing solution with its own on board applied ballistics elite engine using atmospheric conditions taken by the watch it’s self.
Thanks. The wind and humidity has to be put in manually though correct? Wasn’t sure if the BDX was doing more. I was thinking of trying the sigKilo2400ABS with it. Thanks. Great review. Ordered my watch yesterday. Was gonna get some dust plugs but saw some reviews where it just trapped moisture inside and rusted the connections. Have you ran into that?
Yes the watch will make full wind calculations like a normal kestrel you will have wind value one and two however as you could imagine the watch cannot read the wind speed
Alpha Δ Hey mate yes they are available in Australia for pre-order now and will be available very soon I have not tried to connect to that particular laser range finder but would have to assume so

Excellent review mate. Unfortunately Garmin currently has a bug with software version 10.20 and bluetooth is not working. Question, I have AB on my phone and am able to configure my scope, i.e., 1/2 moa (NightForce Beast). Does AB on the watch allow the user to set the clicks for the scope?
@@precisionriflereviews2029 Most all ballistic software allows the user to be able to set and or select the value of each click on the elevation and windage. For example I have a couple of Nightforce scopes. One is 1/8" MOA per click, another is 1/4" MOA and my BEAST is 1/2". Using the BEAST for example Two clicks equals 1". So can you set the weapon profile and enter the corresponding value for the scope the user is using. I did see where to enter the scope height, but nothing for scope adjustment and the instruction aka destructions are extremely vague for even me.
Hi. Great review for the AB features. 👍🏻 just quick question. When you pair the rangefinder as a sensor to the watch, how can you relate the distance to AB software in the watch?? I cannot find anything where it will take the distance from the rangefinder. Thanks
Hey so the distance from binoculars is sent to watch,, the watch then makes a ballistic calculation via the ab software in the watch and display it on your watch
@@GermanHunter Hi there mate to be totally honest I have not played with the Sig BDX scope so I would be unsure of that. However I would presume it would need a dual Bluetooth connection so maybe not.

Hi, great video. Quick question out of curiosity, if I purchase the tactix delta solar edition and want to add the ballistics feature later on, will that be a software upgrade? Or the ballistics feature is built into the watch itself?
Brendan Vu that is a very good question and should have been in the review you can definitely not in any way shape or form ad on Ballistic AE feature to this watch it is built in to the hardware. You will need to specifically by the ballistic model.

Jeremy Guillory thanks Jeremy that’s correct on the Fenix six model however this is not a Fenix and does in fact have solar and Sapphire Crystal this is a totally new model of Watch Regards Tris.
Precision rifle: the US website says the Tactix Delta is “Power Sapphire TM” on the solar version. could very well be true sapphire but I tend to doubt because the non solar version says “sapphire crystal”. It seems there are a few active threads on a “watchuseek” community trying to get a direct answer from Garmin as many people seem to be questioning this.
Precision rifle reviews the website says the same thing for that version, but it also doesn’t say anything about that the ballistic version having a more powerful processor which it could also have. I’m watching the thread about it and also made a post on Reddit, had i known I could get the sapphire and solar, would have gone for that version. Being that it’s certainly not an option in the fenix line, I went for the most cost effective sapphire with all the options

Yeah good point the ballistics model may have a better battery for it.

Be careful with those plugs, read that they trap moisture and can rust your connection.
