Just hearing the plot of the episode feels like it was a dream, specially how all the random things keep happening. At least to me it would hour like a dream
It’s a shame the show didn’t do more of these deliberately non-canon episodes with supernatural or more ambiguous or out there elements, like a Twilight Zone-esque tone. Twilight Zone did storylines around performers, and since Victorious is set in a performing arts schools, it’s a perfect fit. A play where the actors start getting a bit too much like their roles for example, starting out as a method acting exercise that goes horribly wrong (or horribly right depending on your perspective). Trina gets three wishes and wishes people recognised her as the school’s greatest talent, but in true monkey paw style she gets overwhelmed by her fans.
I love how the episode summary is slightly scripted to be just as non sensible as the episode. Just quickly mentioning the references without showing where it’s from really, making jokes and jabs off of it. It’s great! Perfect use of the topic to make the script feel just as interesting as it’s topic.

@Alexia Spiteri it's a really weird story, & pretty uncomfortable when you know how that episode happened. so, in the beginning of the Pooka Fish episode one of Tori's friends (I forgot who it was) was asking people if they wanna feel his feet. some people came over & touched his feet. then when someone asked him how his feet were that smooth, he answered it was because of fish who ate his dead skin off of his feet. I'm not gonna tell you the rest because it's pretty gross & weird, but you can watch the episode to understand it. oh and remember what I said earlier about how the story for the Pooka Fish episode was uncomfortable? well it's because of one of the director's (Dan Schneider's) foot fetish. it's just gross
people who get it get it. it’s an april fools episode it’s supposed to be random goofy awkward and ironic that’s the whole point. that’s why tori keeps asking why not one celebrates it when they r obviously being weird. it’s honestly one of my fav episodes
A lotta of the new Nickelodeon sitcoms like iCarly, this show "Victorious" honestly felt so surreal, and confusing at times but I'll admit they were kinda nostalgic at times.
This is definitely an episode filled with plots and scenes that just couldn't make the cut so they made a collage of sorts. Also, Jade/Andre could lowkey work
One time I had a high fever and this episode was playing. between my fever dream and the entirety of the episode I was extremely confused and concerned the entire episode.
After hearing this, i half expected for a twist at the end of the episode where it turns out this was all an April Fool's joke pulled on Tori. But it's just a fun wack episode.
fr, but a lot of Victorious episodes are like this haha. I love it tho. another episode that's the same level of crazy is the episode where Tori & her friends dress up as food & sing at a child's birthday party
I wouldn’t say that this is one of my favorite episodes, but I enjoyed it still. The oz sketch was so much like Saturday night live, and for me that was the part worth watching repeatedly. That’s just me though.
I never understand why they referenced a game show so old that there was no way anyone watching the show would know what it was a reference too, but watching it more recently after having seen the classic Match Game episodes their impressions were kind of spot on.

From watching Victorious for the first time this year, I vastly preferred this April Fool's episode to iCarly's. Wizard of Oz scene was so good, and the lobsters from the Amanda Show (although I will associate it with Chadtronic as that's where I saw it first) was a great recurring gag.
Even Tori felt weird this epispde. She's not one to "go along" with bad situations. She gets caught in bad/weird situations but she always stands up. Her just going along with Jade tickling her and the game show wasn't something that Season 1 Tori would do.
As a Pani Poni Dash fan, I think the writers literally saw one episode of that, and said "Let's just do an episode like that. Random background stuff, suddenly have them cosplay references, nonsequiturs!"
I love this episode this is my favorite episode of Victorious I watched Saved by the Bell growing up so I was happy when Mr Belding was in the episode and I was watching Drake and Josh at the same time that I was watching Victorious so I was uber excited when that Drake Bell joke happened plus I love the wizard of Oz and fourth wall breaks so in my opinion this was the perfect episode of Victorious and like I said before this is my favorite episode of Victorious and it will never stop being my favorite episode

i guess the whole april fool's episode is just a harmless prank? like it was made in a way so that it doesn't make any sense on purpose to confuse the audience..that's what i think about it
To me it feels like the older drew carey show April fools contest episodes where random things would happen and even somethings out of character would happen like Lewis entering Drew’s house heavily pregnant out of the blue for a few seconds for example they tried to have a plot in those episodes but all the absurd stuff would overshadow the plot it also clear that the writers for victorious didn’t understand how acting works like in the only watchable episode Sleepover at Sikowitz's that clearly misunderstands how method acting works cause it not about shouting your character’s details for The Whole movie or tv show it’s more about becoming the character where it’s believable that u are the character your playing and about being out of breath then mentioning your out of breath cause your pregnant and just ran a marathon or being a comedian always telling jokes for example
