This is eye opening. My mom was a people pleaser because she was afraid of everything and everyone. She would always complain about things that happened because she let it happen. Because of that, I am a people pleaser as well and it sucked. My wife took advantage of me because I wanted to avoid conflict and didn't know what to do. I will use this and not care what people think of me. I stop caring what my wife think of me and even took sole guardianship of our autistic son last year because I wanted to put him into residential school and she refused for years but I end up doing all the work of takiing care of him and working a job. She always hung divorce over my head to get her way. Now I will welcome divorce.

I used to think if i say " no" to my boss they might think i am not contributing to the team or company and i am unreliable employee. The more i stay nothing the more they take advantage of my kindness. I fear no more 😊

Quite a lot to digest. As witnessed by my very soul, every word was right on! I've always known this to be the true nurturing healthy mindset I should have adhered to long ago -but I needed to hear it from an external source.
The Right External Source. Not that all my other sources were wrong, but for reasons stemming from an unsound mind, I inturn gravitated around and clung onto the negativism that subtly became more and more in abundance as I denied myself for what has equalled all but a wasted lifetime due the codependency I developed at an early age.
It's been said that when the student is ready, the Teacher will appear..
    I believe I'm ready.
    Thanks for showing up..
    I have subscribed..
    Awaiting to be prescribed..
No wait!, you've put a lot on my plate with that one session - I should process and digest as much of that as I possibly can before the next, I don't wanna bypass a single jewel of it!
Even this late in the game.

Thank you for creating such a fantastic video with the captivating title "The Art of Not Caring." It truly is an inspiring and insightful exploration of Stoic philosophy and how to apply it to daily life to live happily.
What I appreciate most about this video is how you explain the basic principles of Stoicism in a clear and practical manner. Discussing the idea of not caring about things beyond our control, focusing on what truly matters, and paying attention to what is happening within ourselves are valuable lessons.
Furthermore, the way you outline the 7 practices of Stoicism to achieve a truly happy life makes the content specific and immediately applicable. This helps viewers not only understand the philosophy but also know how to begin implementing it in their daily lives.
In summary, your video is not only a valuable source of knowledge about Stoicism but also a detailed guide to practicing it to live a happy and meaningful life.

Thats right, people validation and opinions of success don't matter to me. i was very head strong and righteous as a teenager, i did me, i didn't care about popularity and friends, i loved being alone and doing what i felt was right. I had a few friends. I was sometimes scared of audience but not people. I started with low self esteem, but treated others fair and complimented people. The first blow on my self esteem came from family and siblings. But as i grew older and knew who i was, i could finally see the greatness and realized God didn't make no mistakes on nobody

I have never been a "ppl pleaser" 😊 even as a child. I instead embraced my own way of doing what made me happy, 😀 I wanted to travel, biking, doing my Artwork and crafts, and playing organized field sports, I had the confidence to explore my own path, dreams and passions! People can just walk away from trying to convince me what they think is best for me. I have a strong sense of independence and freedom from what others think or believe, bc I've never given a "f**k" its my life, not theres anyway. ❤👌🎉

I understand not asking for approval from others, but it is still wise to seek council or input from trusted family and friends. Many times they think of things that I did not. That doesn't mean I need to do what they suggest, but it does give me the opportunity to consider points i may not thought about. So, permission no; but input yes.
