    In this tube light review I show you the Sirui Duken T120 tube light and show some examples where you could use it. The light is a dual purpose tube light, which means it can be extended from 60 to 120 centimeters. Is it the best tube light for video in 2023? Well at least the most interesting and versatile one. It is an rgb light with all the possibilities we know from brands like Aputure, Godox or Nanlite.

      You‘re welcome! I like the light a lot since it is a big lightsource but fits in a small bag and is easy to transport. I‘m happy if you use my discount code RONALD in case you want to buy one.

    Interesting product! I love my Godox Tube lights. New sub👍🏼out here supporting smaller channels like mine!

      Godox lights are great as well, I use mine for two years now and I'm happy with them. But honestly the flexibility you get out of the telescopic T120 is just so cool, I've used in on several shoots now and it's amazing to be able to extend this little thing to 120 centimeters to get real soft light (or to put it in the frame just to look good) ;-)

    Hi! Wich is much brighter? Sirui or Nanlite? Is big difference? I’m not decided.

    • @ducvalentinle1053
      @ducvalentinle1053 ปีที่แล้ว

      That also interests me. And does it feel cheap? Is the tube itself with hardplastic? The Nanlite felt very qualitative but I wanted to try another one.

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! The nanlite pavotube II 30x has a maximum output of 745 lux at 1 Meter distance (at 5600 Kelvin).
      The Sirui Duken T120 has an output of 700 Lux with the same parameters.
      I think you will not notice this little difference when you put both lights beside each other.
      The T120 feels very solid, not cheap at all. The light diffusor is hard plastic and very durable. It doesn’t scratch, I‘ve even tried that.
      I‘d always go for the T120 compared to the pavotube it’s so much more versatile. For me it’s essential that my gear is as small as possible, and the T120 is half the size of the pavotube if you bring it down to it’s minimum size.
      And don’t forget, you get 10% off with the link in the description, so if the price is a topic, you might go for the T120 as well.

    Greaaaat video! I am wondering what is the clamp you use for the tube light to the lightstand?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I just use the clamp that comes with the light and screw ot on a ballhead. That way I can turn it in every direction

    Thank you for the review. I had no clue this existed. Does it have an internal battery?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Yes of course, the battery is internal as in other tube lights. 👍

    Upon your review, I bought this light, and I am very happy with it. However, when I connect the charging socket to the tube for charging, there is no indication that the light is being charged. After a while, the light does get charged, but there is no information indicating when it is fully charged. Have you experienced the same issue?

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Yes it’s the same on mine. I only see how much the light is charged when I unplug it. Then the battery symbol shows the charging state.

    • @darrencoates
      @darrencoates ปีที่แล้ว

      I also bought one after this review but sadly I can’t recommend it. It seems great but the app is a nightmare and keeps disconnecting from the light. It then needs re-downloading and the firmware constantly needs to be updated (to the same firmware upgrade). Nice idea, badly executed.

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darrencoates that’s strange, I don’t have any of these problems. Maybe you got a faulty unit

    • @darrencoates
      @darrencoates ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RonaldKasper well maybe but that doesn’t reflect well on the quality control if that’s the case.

    That hard diagonal line eye highlight ain't exactly pretty. Very distracting. Look like a handy light all the same.

    • @RonaldKasper
      @RonaldKasper  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup, looks a bit strange in my video, but of course you could simply mount it straight to avoid that. And yes, it’s a really handy light that’s with me on every shooting
