Thank you so so much for this video, sincerely. I am flying over there in about 2 months, for a month. I am travelling alone and whilst I do speak english and somewhat korean (studiying for the past 3 years), I get anxious in crowded big spaces. I know my brain can keep it cool in the moment, but being away for this long and alone, is a first so I’m guessing my anxiety will be going through the roof. The KTX goes right into Incheon Airport, at least the one that goes to Busan. We rode that from Busan to ICN on our last day and went straight to boarding our plane. very efficient system

Very informative video! Are there any lounges or sleeping zones in the arrival area? I will be arriving in Incheon at 12am but will need to wait 5 hours before Gimpo airport opens! 😅
Will you be going to T1 or T2? T1 has the jjimjilbang (mentioned in the video). Would be a great place to relax, take a quick shower and enjoy a short nap without leaving the airport (and it's cheap)

I dont think most people will become fluent in Korean before visiting. While visitors absolutely should learn some key phrases, it's not practical to think that everyone will become a fluent Korean speaker before they arrive.

How do you determine who to blur? Seems it would be an impossible task.
It really is a chore. TH-cam has a function that allows me to blur faces pretty easily using their software, but it doesn't look so great. I just kinda do the best I can and hope nobody gets angry as Korea has some pretty strict laws about things like that (even if you're in a very public place like an airport).

What is the exchange rate at the global bank atms in the incheon airport vs Seoul Central station? Would it be better to exchange in Seoul Central station or where would you recommend getting the best rate?

My advice is to 100% apply for a new passport right now. It's possible (or even likely) that your airline may not even let you board. And if they do, you may not be allowed to enter the country and will be sent back.
Sorry for the bad news, but hopefully there is still time for you to get a new passport!
This is so very helpful. I’ll be visiting S Korea spring 2025 & I have a few questions. I’m from the Inited States, will I only need a K-ETA? Also, I will have prescription medication with me, do you have any advice?
You will also need the other documents mentioned such as valid passport with at least 6 months validity, return ticket, etc.
For prescriptions, it shouldn't be a problem. However you should research to find out as some medications are prohibited. I would also make sure the prescriptions are in their original bottle, and have a prescription just in case. If they are simple things (like blood pressure or cholestrol or whatever) then you won't have any problems.
Hi would like to ask, did you heard or try out the new Climate card for tourist? Do we still need to get T-card?
Great question. I haven't looked too much into the new Climate card, but will do so for an upcoming video. But from what I understand, it acts as a T-Money card, so you won't need to purchase one separately.

I am still a newbie when it comes to new tech. I have an old Samsung S9 phone I plan to use when we visit South Korea in November. Should I purchase an e-sim or plain SIM card? Will I be able to navigate in South Korea with just using the SIM card in my phone? Or do I have to buy portable wi-fi / internet at the airport? Please advise. Thanks.
I'm not sure about your specific phone, but if you get a SIM card in Korea, you won't need the portable wi-fi as that's what the SIM is for. And yes, that will be all you need.

Hey, when i went to Korea last year you needed a Q-Code (which you could still get at arrival but it was more convenient to do it before the flight) is that still needed and if not, do you need anything else? And my country doesn't need a K-ETA but I heard it is quicker to just get one beforehand. Can i still get one?
The Q-code seems to change based off of where you're flying from. I heard someone coming from the UK had to fill one out, but others didn't. I think it depends if you have any outbreaks in your country.
If you don't need a K-ETA, I don't see the purpose in spending money on one. I'm sure you can though.

What’s the age requirement for bus/ train ticket for kids?
Great video. What options are available to get to Seoul in the situation that a flight arrives late into Incheon, around 11pm to 12am? I noticed the trains do not seem to run late after midnight.
We’re staying in Seoul for 3-4 days so how much do you recommend putting on the T money card for three days?
It really depends on how much traveling around you plan to do. I would put 20,000 KRW on it to start. You can always get a refund if you don't use it all.

Hi! Any idea if there is a luggage weight carrying limit on intercity buses or the KTX trains? I'm bringing a lot of luggage lol.
Nobody is going to weigh them. Space is first-come, first-served, so be sure to board the KTX early to get a spot for your luggage.

The most intimidating thing is figuring out how to get to Seoul. So many options!
How long does it take to get through security, grab cards Sims etc and get on the express train. Approximately as I appreciate it depends how busy it is. I arrive next Tuesday at 4pm hopefully not too busy.

There are far too many variables to accurately predict how long it will take. I would allow roughly 2 hours though, if it's your first time in the airport as it will take some time to locate things. Best of luck!

There are multiple convenience stores in the airport. I believe there is 7-11, but theresdefinitely CU.

Do you mean the airport bus? If so - you'll need a separate ticket. If you're talking just about the regular city bus, then the T-Money is your bus ticket.

Hi, question- do they not accept debit cards? I see you kept referring to a credit card
I believe you can use a debit card - but make sure it has a Visa or Mastercard logo on it. But having a credit card will give you more protections in case anything were to happen.

@@Lavplayz7 That means your country requires a visa to visit Korea. The K-ETA is for countries that don't require a visa.
When he says validity, does he mean that it expires in those 6 months or has had the passport for 6 months having a brain fart and I can't figure it out? lol
The passport has to be valid for 6 months when you depart, check when your passport expires

It's actually 6 months from the time you enter Korea.
The introduction to this video is utter madness. "The success of your trip to Korea hinges on your very first hour here". Way to increase people's anxiety. Your first hour will most likely be fine and, even if it doesn't go well, it doesn't have to affect the rest of your trip. If you said that just to get people to comment, well played!
I advise against traveling to Korea.
