Thanks for the super contents of yours ☺️ I was in April in Seoul for a month. There was Climate Card already "on probation" period from 27th January. I used that. There are some exceptions, where you can't use it (for example not from Airport to Seoul, and some internal trains Seoul. There are the names in the regulation), but it was super easy to travel with. And I did not need to bother myself, how expensive it will be. There was just the month card. Ideal for me 😎 For every other transportation I had the T-Money card, and a T-Money card within my WowPass Recommend to everybody the Climate Card Even locals were changin T-Money card for this within Seoul. Gives soooo much freedom 🎉😊
love the info! definitely has limitations BUT depending on what one plans to do during the trip will still be cheaper than getting a traditional T Money pass, you'll just have to get other tickets for areas not covered =)
@@PhatLifeProject , just very little limitations. I loved it absolutely. Just very rarely had route opportunity, that would have needed exceptions. But even then there were also ways suggested, that were easily used by Climate Card. In my country the month card and short term unlimited card is for longer time. At least in the capital city. Was glad to experienced it in Seoul too 🫰
I think the issue with the climate card is that it really limits your stay to the inner circle of Seoul. which is fine if you are only there for a few days. but if you want to go hiking for example or go to Suwon or anywhere outside of Seoul, you cannot use this card anymore. Even within Seoul you really need to pay attention where you get on and off, because if the destination station is outside of the climate pass circle, you have to pay and additional fee... and it's a whole long list of stations that constitute the border of the usage pass, you need to keep it with you and make sure on the map that you are not crossing it over. and you cannot use it on Sinbundang either.
i get it - though it still is a cheaper alternative thank tmoney if you plan to spend at least a few days in Seoul The money saved can be used for your travels outside of Seoul =)

@@PhatLifeProject Just want to clarify: can a foreign tourist buy the Climate Card at the Customer Safety Centers in the subway stations in Line 1 - 8? Or just at the Tourist Information Centers? I read from the official website that foreign tourists are to purchase the Climate Card at the Tourist Info Centers only. It's confusing. Also, is the Climate Card rechargeable? We plan to stay for 9 days so we will purchase the 7-day pass initially.
Thank you for putting a great video. Couldn't find much information about Climate Card online and your video helped me a lot. I am planning a trip to seoul in November and will buy a physical climate card for 7 days. Do i have to register that physical card to use or i just buy from convenience store load money on it and use. If you can help me with that i would really appreciate it. Thanks again
First of all thanks for the video! I was very confused after watched the video. We'll be staying in Seoul for 3 days. After watching your video, we decided to buy climate card but it doesn't sell at the Incheon Airport right? What do you suggest us for transportation from Incheon Airport to Seoul center? Should we buy one way AREX train ticket or buy a tmoney card and paid with it. After we arrive at Seoul, buy climate cards? Thanks.
The climate card does not cover arex or transport outside of Seoul, definitely get an arex ticket as that is the cheapest option - once you’re in Seoul hunt down the climate card the locations listed in the video :)
Your videos have been incredibly helpful as I am currently planning a trip to Korea 🥺 just a question that I hope you don't mind answering... Instead of travelling to Seoul from Incheon, my main destination is Geochang in South Gyeongsang; can I use T-money for a train or a bus there?
Thank you for this amazing video very informative🙌👍🏻🥰 + Can you please make a video about jeju free pass and jeju all pass and how we can use it and where to buy it❤️😺
Thanks for the video. I am travelling to SK in Dec and have bought the DSP because of the fantastic attractions it provides. I was planning to also purchase the climate card tourist pass and stumbled on this video and just wanted to clarify something to help with my decision about purchasing the CC. At 6:29 you mention that the Discover Seoul Pass is like the Climate Card + Tourist Attraction Admission tickets. However the DSP doesn't have unlimited travel on the Seoul subway lines and a lot of the Seoul transit buses. If I'm not mistaken with the DSP physical pass you'll only receive a transportation card (T-card) but that won't be loaded with any balance, and you'll still have to pay to top that up for train and bus rides right? The climate card provides unlimited travel on Seoul subway lines/transit buses for one fixed fee which varies based on the length of the pass (1,3,5 or 7 day). So unless I'm mistaken it seems like the climate card serves a very different purpose to the DSP and there would not be much overlap between the two, if any?
Hi, yes, whilst some transportation is covered under the DSP you will definitely still need a Climate Card if you want the unlimited travel I have already rectified this in a follow up video to this - th-cam.com/video/W_qEfLAHTJU/w-d-xo.html thanks for pointing it out =)
Great video! Question, the DSP doesn't include free bus/train within Seoul, correct? For this reason, do you recommend the Climate Card as well to get around Seoul and use the DSP for attractions? Thanks!!!
We wanted to buy the youth card, but when we clicked on Youth it said we needed to register on the Tmoney app. But to register they need a phone number... not tourist friendly. We had a phone number but only for mobile data so we couldn't confirm via text message that it was a valid number... not toursist friendly. Decided to buy 2 adult cards. Turns out you need the app to rent a bike even tho we gave more money to rent a bike. We'll go to a tourist center for this. Unbelievably user-unfriendly At least it is cheaper for the subway, so it's not lost money.
Tks so much for the info. Would appreciate if you could advise valuable info on which is a good area to stay ie within walking distance to local eateries and nightlife. Any recommendations for 3 star hotels. Tks much...
