yep i mentioned this in his latest upload, putting the magnuson 23650 supercharger upgrade and have the drag pack as well, that way even if its 40 Degrees out side C so over 100 degrees f, you can have it going and the A/c inside the car going as well and get over 80 HP just with the Interchiller, then add headers complete exhaust system heads and cam, and you have over 800Hp at the rear wheels. :) they even make a cut off switch so if its snowing outside, you can switch it off, amazing that i though of this idea over 30 years ago. :) Do the same for the intercooler for turbo cars. :)
Just save your money and buy the stage 1 interchiller. The stage 2 is north worth the extra $800... all you get is a condenser and a fan. No brackets / no mounting solution l.
On the Gen V stuff, you can do very well with stage 1. Stage 2 really shows it's capability in very hot climates, but stage 1 is still good for around 100 degrees ambient. Some Gen 4 cars like the CTS-V2 absolutely need stage 2 or they suck.

There was a major publication done a few years back about r12, the findings was that r12 was not as nearly as bad for the ozone as originally thought. There is a possibility that r12 can make a comeback but undoing legislation is a complete uphill battle. R12 is still available with proper certifications.
R12 was the best. Literally would create frost. What ozone?

In humid climates is there concerns of water vapor freezing on the fins of the cooler inside the blower? Could this possibly introduce a rust condition over time on the tops of the valves? Since water condenses with extreme temperature variations.

Not as much power as I thought for full bolt ons and H/C. I was expecting 850. What kind of hp level do I need in a lighter base ZL auto to run 9.6's at 142-145 in the 1320 in 77° air? 800 rwho?? 850 rwhp?? 900 rwhp? I am also 175 lbs.

R-12. I had a '78 Toyota Chaser in Okinawa, Japan when I was at Kadena AB. It had an R-12 system. Mind you, it would be like 90* with 100% humidity. My Chaser would get so cold, those cold waves you see when you open the door to a walk in freezer, yeah. It would do that. It would get so cold, I never went past the low fan setting and less than the half setting on the AC control. If you drove long enough, your hands would start hurting from the dash vents blowing on you. Having access to R-12 is like having over 10 round mags, in New Jersey.

Sorry those of us going to the track and making 136-140 mph trap speeds on stock heads and cam are not impressed by big dyno numbers. I have less mods and my 140 mph trap speed tells me I’m making right about the same hp for the 4020 race weight.
thought i had seen before that you had gone with the active chiller any reason why you went with the forced inductions interchiller

or it should be with the headers ? and what about the spark plugs do i need them for this modification?

The air conditioning “condenser” does not get cold. The condenser receives the hot vaporized Freon from the compressor and tries to cool it to ambient temperature, in this process the vaporized freon “condenses” to liquid. The “Evaporator” is what gets cold by receiving the liquid freon after passing through the expansion valve. The freon “evaporates” as warm cabin air passes through the evaporator. This “interchiller” system must be tapping the discharge line after the condenser to an alternate evaporator core and cooling the coolant in the supercharger intercooler system. For this to happen the air conditioning compressor must be engaged which is dragging power from the engine. The gains made by cooling the induction air must be outweighing the compressor drag losses. Interesting system, I’ve heard this is used on the Dodge Demon!

If it freezes or ices over, you haven't charged it correctly.
@@completestreetperformance If charged correctly, the temp will be just above freezing. That's one way to know your freon level is low, is if it frosts over.
Having the temp below freezing will eventually cause the AC coil to freeze over and not be able to function properly.
What’s your review of this looking back? Moisture internally forming on brick from condition? Or just chalking that up to built in water injection? Lol I’m looking at this kit for a ctsv v2.
I just put it on my CTS-V wagon. Gotta have the stage 2. Update next week after we get it started but you will see I went overboard lol
