Orlando is an absolute legend! Also I was under the impression harrop didn’t want water meth sprayed through the blower? Fun fact, petrol ignition point is 280c ethanol is is 365c and methanol is 470c so massive difference in range! My intake temps on boost are in the teens with water meth! Those FI inter chillers are absolutely incredible 👌👌 I had lights at the front of my patrol like yours and was having over heating issues, removing them made a big difference
@@jarrod1687 and in this case it is petrol so leaner will bring higher combustion temps, which over all will pass heat into other systems. Diesel on the other hand excess fueling or poor atomisation will cause the same thing.
Sam the best way to keep it all cooler again is a good engine fan (I'm awere ls does not run them ) maybe a truck version does ? , most reliable and effective for ya cooling.
@@speyles I am referring to use a fan with a viscous hub all good then ( you have the fan mounting point I'll can help with the fan that will work ) let's test it , I think you'll be very surprised Sam ? Theres another topic for ya veiwers . Higher hp engine in a heavier vehicle and slower to no air flow through the rad ( beach ). Electric fans don't pull the same air as a good engine fan .
That Aquamist water meth system is mint, I'm currently running one of their direct port kits in my FG turbo. It's unbelievable how it achieves almost identical power figures with premium 98, compared with say e85 and no water meth 👌
What if you went the other way with the build? Make the rig lighter, and therefore faster. Pull the supercharger, this cooler system, keep the LS, and lightweight everything possible, like a front bumper. This would keep the car fast, simplify everything, make it more reliable, and fun to drive. Just my thought. That said LOVE the build and channel!
Good bit of kit👌, potention improvements for the future but not a necessity would be to insulate the reservoir and fit a low level warning to provent the heat exchanger cracking from low flow if it hasnt already got 1. Great video, very informative🤙
great content dude! not going to lie did stop watching you for awhile! but I've been back for the last few eps! can't believe how far you've come great stuff man!
I’ve been running the Aquamist setup on my Hilux for a while, good piece of kit. Wouldn’t running water/meth and an inter chiller cause the water/meth to form droplets through the heat exhchanger?
Been running WM injection for a bit now on turbo diesel applications with good results. In order to get the best cooling from WM you need to inject pre-compression. You were injecting post compression - like most people which is why your results were poor. It's very easy to inject pre-compression on a supercharger and will be more effective than using parasitic aircon technique. More difficult on a turbo to inject pre-compression - some people have had great results spraying directly onto the compressor nut at 2-3mm distance, but many have ruined turbos trying to get this setup. Safer option is volute injection - take the turbo off, split it and mount the injectors to spray into the compressor housing. No blade erosion and can kill all the compressor heat at source.
Awesome vid , been watching all your vids since seeing you on skid factory 👍keep up the good work , seen you went nr caloundra there on drive are you locsl to sc 😊
sorry but my english is not very good, could someone tell what is interchiller ? still using the intercooler? if you want to turn off the interchiller, can you?
BNB. Far too complicated plumbing and way too many opportunities for failure ! Maybe try "Sprintex" superchargers next time, as their based over here in WA ? V.
It's this thing where you thought you know better than a smarter person than you. So you put more power in for some reason? Then it wrecks the rest of the car when it was fine to start with but OK. A.D.D. and yeah. Wooh!!
More hot chicks plz. Nothing goes better with awesome builds with excellent vehicles like a hottie in tight shorts with a wrench in her hand. Just saying. :)
Stoked to hear that vancruiser start. So glad to have waited the week
Haha had some delays so still filming the back half of the episode
Next week for sure! 😍
I agree I was keen in the 80
Could be the massive spotties also......

I was being a little bit sarcastic but I’m really a big fan of the 80
Dying to see how the lights and grill and fenders turn out
14:13 somebody found their 10mm socket

Makes a huge difference indeed! Great to see your results!
You'll probably find alot of engine temps can come from the tune aswell. If it's on the lean side for more power it'll run hotter.
On a petrol, yes

Get rid of one of your driving lights for some more airflow
Thanks for giving me advice for when I am older
Cool.......
Made my own interciller, used a water to air intercooler and turned it into an evaporator, by splitting the air con system.
Hell yeah! You finally got a Interchiller setup 👌😁

Never

We just want to hear the 80!
Water and diesel are not good friends... great video brother 👍👍❤
love this car looks so good
Just a question well a comment using the aircon to help cool stresses the aircon compressor as well adding to heat l
too bad you cant aircon cool the conplete cooling system. no water just aircon gas
Hey Sam really love the content you are making. Can't wait for the next video. That 80 series build is going to be off it chop's.
Genuine question.?.. do the hub dynos hold the vehicle in place? Look like it was only sitting on a shop jack (14:18)
That prog metal music you play in the background just reminds me of early 2000's pornos haha, it's literally the exact same!

When a droplet is large enough it is blown/sucked into combustion and instantly vaporized

Are you still running the setup?
im not sure if i missed it or not but does this interchiller system plumb into the existing AC compressor or is it a standalone compressor?
Well now you've got a port drilled and tapped for some happy gas
Wher do you have your aircon compressor ?
what about the big hole in the supercharger
Do you have a video on how you installed the tablet in the dash and how you set up the app?
Pretty sure it’s in the og patrol build series mate
oh well, might as well chuck that blower in the bin, there goes the teflon coating on the rotors.
Did you buy that kit or build it?
Just move to Victoria or Tasmania, she'll stay cool as there 😂
What supercharger are you running on that rig
Hey mate think you lost your 10mm on the rear right hub on the first run 14:12
The m4 gts has water injection
If you built motor again would you have gone 4" crank or still with the stock? Would you share what cam and heads are u running out of interest?

How much difference on horsepower numbers is there between a roller dyno and a hub dyno.
About 100-150hp

No lug nuts here, this is Australia

Just a tad colder but otherwise no change
What type of gauge set up is that in your truck.
does that mean you have to run the aircon pump the whole time?
Yeah
i wanna see you buy a new 79series and do all the boostings on it....really looking forward to it,,,.

Yeah
Is it just on, or does it cycle to keep the water below a certain temp? Spose its probbly colder the better.
