Why Sam doesn’t have a million plus subscribers ill never know! STG is the only channel on TH-cam that i watch evey video, and BTG is the only podcast i listen to every episode of! They are always a great watch (or listen) and such high-quality!!
I love how you always make a good effort in driving inside the white line of your lane, even on twisty mountain roads. That's how you show young people how to drive proper. Thanks!
Love the effect that having someone behind the camera added, the small about of wobble on he camera seemed to add some more life to the video and make it feel more natural, not to mention the different and changing angles you could get while talking
Sam deserves more subscribers. The dedication to put out such well made, professional and well shot/edited content with such a level of consistency. It's a wonder why STG and BTG hasnt surpassed 1M subs. Just from looking at the conent and consistency alone id guess Sam would habe about 5Million subs plus!
Fully agree. The Quality of Sam´s work has always stood out for me over the years, it is instantly recognizable. And i am subscribed to *many* automotive channels.
Probably has something to do with the posh and off-putting attitude of "Mclaren tried to explain the engineering to me, but you know me, I didn't really listen or try to pay attention, so I've forgotten half of it". 7:50
I was exactly the same when I drove an F82 M4 CS. Had to stop suddenly and was violently sick. Turns out it's Multiple Sclerosis! How messed up is that! Glad you are better. I'm here after watching the usual DDE clickbate. Id watch TV if I wanted drama in my life. Love your channel ❤️
Glad McLaren did you a solid. Sun stroke is the worst and can ruin any experience. Also as cool as the road are above Monaco, there’s something more special about driving up the hill at Goodwood. Hope McLaren can continue this uptick in form too
Love your reviews Sam. Honestly, fair play for just being open and honest in your review in front of the McLaren guys. Just one note however, I haven’t found many Artura reviews to include the HORRENDOUS reliability with the car. McLaren are really struggling at the moment to even get the Artura out the factory and into dealerships due to constant reliability issues. I feel like if McLaren can get these cars more reliable then it could be in a league of its own as its only technical competitor, the 296, is £100k plus more expensive when optioned up properly, which then to me becomes no competitor. I know the mc20 is a little cheaper than the Ferrari so perhaps you can loosely compare the mc20 to the Artura? 🤷🏼♂️ Anyway I’m waffling. Great video Sam, get yourself a hat for your next open top review in the south of France😂
You know you're doing well when Lego want you to plug them...I'm just finished the Liebherr Crawler crane (LR13000). Before that was the Ferrari SP3 Daytona.
Glade to see you coming to the 🇺🇸🇺🇸. The convertible dose look the best 👌 but to save 100k go with hardtop 🎉 who don't want save money. But think competition is way better.
What's going on with the roof fitment at 6:29? It doesn't fit correctly! It looks a mess, with a two-centimetre gap, with the rubber seal popping through!!!
Heatstroke is not nice. I too had this last month in the South of France feeling fine one moment and then very sick the next. I could not focus properly for some minutes but fortunately I was not driving at the time.
Sam you have to learn, and especially as an Englishman, that you have to wear a cap when you are where there is much more sun and heat than what you are used to. Then when it comes to the McLaren Artura Spider or Coupe, in my opinion I prefer the Ferrai 296, although it costs over 100,000 more. Because the Ferrari 296 doesn't resemble any other Ferrari nowadays, but you have to go back to the 60s to find an analogy. The MCLaren models do not differ that much. The Ferrari 296 is much more beautiful on the outside. The same goes for the Ferrari 296, the interior is far more beautiful than McLaren could ever be. There is not a McLaren model that is beautiful inside. Since then I have seen various new McLaren models where the assembly of the car was not 100% with uneven cracks on the factory new McLaren. Then also saw TH-cam clips where they pointed out precisely about the poorly assembled McLaren. Have a friend whose wife likes McLaren, she was looking at a number of different McLarens but she was disappointed by the poor build quality of some cars. So she backed out to buy one.
@@CITRUS-- that’s what I think but it’s just my opinion at the end of the day. Who knows what the manufacturers had in mind. The price alone should put the two together
It's not the exhaust that needs re-engineering, it's the engine. This sounds like every other McLaren since the MP4-12C...soulless. But at least this looks better than the 720/750.
Noted and appreciate the feedback! But the last 10-15 videos include a hot hatch, an EV, a couple of classics, a fast estate and a £35k sports car, mixed with the super-sports cars…
Why exactly is a BRITISH car at a BRITISH event to be driven by a BRITISH driver in roman catholic layout? i.e. LHD. Can you imagine the uproar if the septics released press cars of the new Mustang in RHD in Detroit?
Love Sam and the channel, but anything McLaren nowadays is such a snooze-fest. After the initial hits of the P1 and MP4-12C, it's just been downhill and just a barrage of more and more forgettable cars. All this is relative to the bangers produced by Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin. Just my opinion.
And you’ve driven how many McLaren supercars at breakneck speeds on a twisty canyon road ? A memorable car is more than how it looks in your driveway and does your neighbour have car envy. imo.
675LT was also a very good car, quite reliable for a McLaren. The 720S was very boring and had plenty of issues, 570S was no different. 765LT was a product which was between 675LT and 720S as an overall product.
How can anyone take your comment seriously when you say Porsche, Ferrari and Aston are bringing out bangers 😂 Aston have had 1 exciting car in the last decade and Ferrari and Porsche are just churning out mid
Ruined by the poor use of a 360 camera, fisheye is terrible! You know these cameras are for 360 footage (whereby you can move around the footage) and not static forward facing angles, although they can be used for it they are terrible! There is no substitute for GoPRO! I really wish people would use these cameras correctly!
This channel is 50% coffee, 40% cars and 10% bad accents
Presented perfectly though! 😂
how's your channel, 100% feck all right?
Bad accent? Nice one mate, well spotted.
I'm adding that to the channel description
You’re right but it’s exceptionally well presented
Why Sam doesn’t have a million plus subscribers ill never know! STG is the only channel on TH-cam that i watch evey video, and BTG is the only podcast i listen to every episode of! They are always a great watch (or listen) and such high-quality!!
He presently has 603 thousand people subscribed to him, dunno about you but that's quite impressive.
Thanks for the support
Same here!
@@seenthroughglass I listened to BTG while driving from Romania to Nurburgring 2 months ago. Best podcast !
Maybe he needs to focus on quirks and features. Sam has a great channel.
Good on you Sam for getting the video out, hearing about it on the pod it sounded like a pretty difficult time you had
Thanks for tuning in
The confidence to openly talked about what you think WITH a mclaren employee next to use, is impressive!
I love how you always make a good effort in driving inside the white line of your lane, even on twisty mountain roads. That's how you show young people how to drive proper. Thanks!
Pleasure to ride up the hill with you!
Seems like you've got a pretty cool job 👍
The audio was really good in the hillclimb
0:55 always like the neo soul/funk music used in Sam videos.
This channel just gets better and better with time. I think very few channels actually manage to pull that off. Massive props to Sam!
I love the board on the left at 9:33 😂
"BEHIND THE ASS"
Heatstroke ? Had one of these many years ago. That is NOT a joke, was a terrible experience which completely knocked me out for 3 days.
Goodwood Festival of Speed now replaces the Geneva motor show
Agreed
I am more adored by the Porsche checkered insert on the child seat. Class.
Love the effect that having someone behind the camera added, the small about of wobble on he camera seemed to add some more life to the video and make it feel more natural, not to mention the different and changing angles you could get while talking

Great video Sam, cool Mclaren. I seen my first Artura in the wild on Monday.
Fantastic content as always Sam. Whenever you want to come to Texas and drive the Rivian, I’ve got one waiting for you.
11:37 min - as always, thanks for the POV, Sam. 👍🏾

I watch mostly for the coffee reviews but also enjoy the car chat. 🤷♂️
Matt Watson felt sick in the new 911 turbo S, so that can happen to anyone. I felt sick in an EV and I wasn't going fast.
A strong number 2! 😂 Austin Powers, “it’s a bit nutty!” 😂
Great video Sam! FOS was awesome I was there on the Thursday.
It's okay to be human, Sam! Glad you got another go at it. Lovely spec as well.

nice color for the McLaren Artura Spider
Sam is the best CarTuber now. Remember when he was just an extra on Paul SOL channel and the guy with glasses 👓 who sold car. Ahhhh Pre-Covid era 😅
I personally think this car is more beautiful than the 296 or the 750s, but that exhaust and reliability need help.
What watch were you wearing for the hill climb?

There is no better overall exotic car for the price. The Artura is improved in architecture, build quality and reliability over past McLarens as well.
Does the Artura have the same suspension as the 720/750 ?
Hey Sam, could you tell me the model of that mad tag watch you have been wearing recently, I want to check it out. Thanks
7:53 min - 😄😄👍🏾
You know you're doing well when Lego want you to plug them...I'm just finished the Liebherr Crawler crane (LR13000). Before that was the Ferrari SP3 Daytona.
Would ideally want this motor and setup but in the 750S body. That's the one.
It does look better than hurricane.
Sat passenger in the Artura at Lime Rock for like 6 hot laps. I stumbled out of the car sick to my stomach LOL
Which watch was he wearing?
16:56 min - Sam, that upload in a fortnight should be a Double Whopper with Cheese!! 🍔🧀

Shame you had such a nauseous time on the original drive as the B-roll was fantastic! Great video save though
When your guests go ashore for a meal is that included in the charter price?
An um and err moment.
Still a cool video
Thanks
😎😎😎🤣🤣🤣
Wrong camera angle during the hill climb Sam
What's going on with the roof fitment at 6:29? It doesn't fit correctly! It looks a mess, with a two-centimetre gap, with the rubber seal popping through!!!
As he stated in the video it’s supposed to be a small little lip on both side to reduce wind buffeting in the interior when the roof is down.
Heatstroke is not nice. I too had this last month in the South of France feeling fine one moment and then very sick the next. I could not focus properly for some minutes but fortunately I was not driving at the time.
Which car would you choose between the Artura and the GT3 ?
Artura.
A strong number 2 😂
MacLaren make some great looking cars, but are they reliable and are the dealers any good these days? Buying one is an expensive way to find out!
Can we also see V1?1
A bit harsh on pricing when compared to the Ferrari 296, £285k to £330k on the 2nd hand market.
Balls the Size of King Kong ...Calling out The Prices in Front of Mac Rep 🤣🤣💪 Ata boy Sam ☕️🐿
Was that a strategic coverup of the podcast name at 9:35 minutes in? 🤣
£390 for a Lego P1?!…that’s crazy.
I want the Lego
ERAY competitor in the North American market.
Hey Sam, did I spot a new watch? Was that a UN freak?
Never mind 😅. It's the tag chrono skelleton...
Is it just me, or is the Artura Spider a lot better looking than the Artura?
Do you think driving the 750 has spoiled the car for you?
Possibly
After this video that McLaren Artura depreciated 30%
Mate pls upload your videos on Saturday its better.
Man u have a rude head.. love your content any ways

Still not even close to the 296!! Good content as always
But £100k cheaper...
The only thing they have in common is the use of v6 and electric motor. The 296 should be compared to the 750
296 is a 750s rival. Why did you ferrari people just decide to change what class's the ferraris are in.
