Ohhhh..... the boss at 12:45..... MASSIVE love/hate relationship with that guy! He killed me more than any other boss. Yet, I loved his fight! That whole teleport and then block with his weaponized tail was just soooo cool to me!
This was the best Contra. It really was ahead of its time. Innovative gameplay mechanics and visuals. One of the ALL time best games on the SNES. I can remember playing this game a lot. Really fun.

Contra 3 is such a great game. Great job on the bosses and not dieing to them! When I play this game, I actually have a pretty similar strategy for most of these bosses, but I could never do as well as this.
No matter what run and gun game you're playing,it's a living hell without a player 2 who is just a pro as you are. This is a prime example of that hell
when i completed the game on normal mode a message appeared, and said that you need to play it on hard to beat the last boss, and that really pissed me off the first time....

It's the best game of all. I was 12 years old. And in the actuality i would like to play again. It was my golden years in the vídeo games and in the playrooms.
At 7:42 you get attacked by a sword wielding, grappling hook, jetpack guy. When he is dead you never see him again. All the bosses and enemies are all unique with cool art and mechanics. Not like today where they just re-skin the old enemies and call them something new.
this dude literally flew a helicopter missile up to an enemy aircraft and then used the helicopter missiles to JETTISON over to the bad guys. he then FLIPS from missile to missile thousands of feet above the air as they explode against the force field. he does this for at least 10 minutes! then he destroys the ship and the badass helicopter pilot manages to save him in time! I'm so glad I grew up in the '90s the level of imagination was off the charts back then! This guy doesn't even know how to beat it he just goes up their and hopes for the best!
The Stage 3 Skeleton Boss's name is Big Fuzz???? I played this so much as a kid, but even if I gathered 30 lives on the stage 3 birdman hovercraft, I couldn't finish it on Hard. Only once did we beat the final boss's brain form, with one life left... only to be instantly killed when it suddenly rushed after us! It doesn't do this on Normal, so we flew off our chairs. But then I played it at a friend's many years later, and got through the whole game on Hard without gathering any extra lives (just barely, but). That is still the only time I've beaten it on Hard, though. Great game.

It's pretty easy to cheese him with the crash bombs... When he warps move down, shoot up left, and then move up a little

Not in The Hard Corps, you can withstand up to 3 hits before losing a life.
In 3 you can choose to start with more lives. I felt pretty accomplished when I finally beat it
