    That blue looks nice but I like the blue on the 1500 in the background better.
    That truck had a lot of added options that you don’t see a lot of (upfitter switches, auxiliary cameras) but it was missing one major option that cost $55! Cab lights!

    It’s an old man spec. Nothing wrong with that. The blue looks nice and all the chrome just gives it an old school vibe. This is definitely a truck the wife would drive.

      @@bdoginitan old man or a wife would like the old school chrome look. It’s a “pretty” truck. Most younger buyers want black rims, black badging, more aggressive tires. This truck is something an older mature buyer would be proud to take to the grocery store. My 67 year old mother-in-law would love this truck.

      I must be an old man at heart cause this look appeals to me far more than all the painted stuff these days.

    Lakeshore Blue is my favorite Chevy color. I’m not a High Country buyer but like you said it’s classy. A lot of chrome but with the painted bumpers it’s not too much. 🇺🇸💪

    I’d love to see a lakeshore blue with the blue interior. Wonder if it would be blue overload.

    Nice looking truck , it's too bad that GM can't get it thru their thick heads that they need to offer this package on a regular cab , long bed truck and without the sunroof . With it being just the wife and I anymore , the bucket seats and console are plenty .

    Don’t get me wrong the blue looks good. I’ve never been a fan of chrome. Wheels maybe when I was younger but not anymore. Anyway I prefer a fully murdered out look. Wheels tires. Tire’s means white letters in. Bumpers. Mirrors. Also the interior as well. Add shads I mean some tint on the windows slightly darker than factory.

    2 months ago, Lariat Ultimate BAP Tremor gasser for around 82k, if you can find it, or get the HO for around 93k. The HO is more readily available. Boils down to what is the percieved best value. Truck prices are crazy. Tremor package lowers towing #s.

    I like Lakeshore Blue on the 1/2 ton a little better for some reason and I like the Slate gray on the LTZ HD better than the half ton as well. Which is weird since I have the slate gray trail boss on the rail car as we speak 😂 always trade it for something I suppose.

    Have you experienced the brake controller issue pulling a camper with any of the 24 trucks? First trip pulling camper with my ultimate trailer brakes where in and out and it’s apparently a common issue on 24 trucks they had to replace brake control module

    • @dtinsured1158
      @dtinsured1158 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We solved this problem by putting a diode on our trailer. The issue is the solar on the trailer causing feedback into the truck.

    One problem for me & I suspect many others who tow without a cdl, is I am limited to a MAXIMUM gvwr of 12,000 pounds for a truck since my trailer has a 14,000 pounds gvwr. Can't go over 26,000 combined gvwr without a cdl regardless of actual load.

    • @jeffclark4008
      @jeffclark4008 ปีที่แล้ว

      What kind of trailer are you towing? I assume it's registered as a commercial trailer, if so, you are correct, but if you're talking about an RV, that's not a commercial trailer and does not require a CD.
      But also, if this is a company truck and it's registered as a commercial vehicle, you should at least have a chauffer's license. If this is just a personal truck and you are pulling a non commercial trailer, you don't have to abide by commercial laws.
      I have a 47' toy hauler I pull behind my F450, I'm almost as long as a Semi and I don't need a CDL (I do have a CDL-A), but if I jump in my company truck (2011 GMC 2500) and pull my 16' tandem axle flat bed trailer with a 12,000lb GVWR, I have to have at least my medical card and depending on the state, I may need a Chauffer's license, or a CDL with an "L" classification.

    • @SliderFury1
      @SliderFury1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffclark4008I think it's state dependant but like, I'm in PA and of you're over 26K GCVW/GVWR then you're automatically considered commercial regardless, and need a CDL.

    • @jeffclark4008
      @jeffclark4008 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SliderFury1 you're correct. I just looked it up.
      I'm actually surprised all states don't require a cdl for trucks and trailers that exceed 26001lbs.
      It's kind if weird to make commercial trucks abide by cdl rules, but a homeowner, with no training, can just tool on down the road at 30,000lbs gcwr with just a regular license, no med card and no fees.
      There are so many people towing trailers that are way too heavy for the truck they have

    • @SliderFury1
      @SliderFury1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffclark4008I agree 100%, there's gotta be a cutoff somewhere! I'm getting myself a 1-ton truck if I can work one of these dealers down to a reasonable bottom line, but that's because I 1) want more than enough truck for my first trailer and 2) am future proofing. If you hooked up a 21,000 pound destination trailer to my truck and said go I'd be like NAH, I'M GOOD 😂
      I will put a couple years of trailering under my belt before I go over 50% of my max tow capacity.
