Hey guys, in this video, I'll be unboxing the Bilt Mastercard, discussing why I personally applied for the Bilt card in particular, and breaking down my data points (credit score, hard inquiries, etc.) after applying for this card. The Bilt Mastercard is one of the most popular credit cards on the market for credit card beginners/enthusiasts alike because of its ability to earn rewards on rent purchases, monthly rent day promotions, and the fact that it earns in a points ecosystem that's arguably the best in the game, but whether or not it's actually right for you is something I hope you learn from this video. I swear you and I have been getting the same credit cards at the same time for months. I just picked up the American Airlines Red Aviator card last week. You’ll probably have an unboxing of that one on Monday 😂

Always exciting to watch unbox videos. Bilt is truly built differently. The unbox experience is on par with other high-end travel cedit cards.

Congrats again on the card Spencer! The unboxing experience of the Bilt card is by far my favorite, and I always carry this card in y wallet and love the Rent day promotions! It’s something fun to look forward to every month! (stark opposite of monthly statement credits which I dread haha)

Over time I've gotten pretty numb to the unboxing experience, but Bilt was the first I was excited to open in quite some time. I'm stoked to use it for all these Rent day promotions. Should be a great time like you said! Especially compared to the monthly credits other cards have haha.

What an awesome card👍🏽👍🏽. It’s on my hit list but I’m chilling right now. I just got approved for the Venture X and I’m working on that welcome bonus right now. I’m already in the late stages of my credit card journey so I honestly wasn’t sure I’d be able to get a Capital One card anymore so once I was approved for the VX I quickly erased my entire credit card want list and firmly put the Savor One as my next card. I know Capital One requires that you wait 6 months between applications or whatever so I’ll apply for that this summer. Once I have the Capital One duo I’ll probably apply for the Bilt MC.

dude i also just got this card. I like the app , the lift boost is INSANE with the CSR 12% back on lyft. Ultimate travel hack. I am now in 5/24 but i think the bilt was worth it. I should have grabbed that marriot card first tho. I will behind the 8 ball on the ritz card....Oh well I needed points for rent.
Congrats on getting approved man! If I used Lyft more, I'd definitely utilize that. Maybe I will with all my travels coming up though! But as for the Ritz card, hopefully that sticks around long enough for you to get it down the line. The Bilt card was a solid addition for sure I'd say.

The Bilt card may be worth it just for those crazy transfer bonuses. Even for a non-renter. Just use it on Rent day for all your monthly bills like water, electricity etc.
Honestly dude... I just missed out on that AirCanada one since I didn't have any points on the card yet, but that was pretty insane. You just gotta make sure you put 5 transactions on it a month, but if you do, it can technically return more than like any other card out there with those transfer bonuses.
I think people make a conceptual error with this card. They compare it to the CSP but it has the earning rates of the Freedom Flex minus the rotating category. It’s a no AF card and if your rent is 2k a month, you’re earning the equivalent of the Flex’s sub every single year. You could balloon it with Rent Day and Transfer Bonuses

I need to use my Bilt card for go to restaurant card going forward. It mostly get used on and near rent day only but still a great card.

To my understanding, no you cannot since Bilt is technically a cobranded card with Wells Fargo. If it was solely a WF card (like the autograph or active cash) you would be able to, but since it's not, they won't be able to do that for you.
BILT pulled Equifax on me (in FL). I've heard they pull from different agencies depending on which state you live in. It would be nice if they let you know in advance which agency they were going to pull so you didn't have to unlock all three to apply.

Question: Does that 5x in the first 5 days “welcome bonus” start from when you activate it? Or from when you apply?
I got the 5x Bonus Points email shortly sfter I activated the physical card, so you'll have 5 full days after you have the card in your hand -- IF you get that bonus email.
As stated above, the 5x period is from when you receive/activate the card from my experience. They let it come in before that period starts.
I think your velocity is hurting your credit card limit. Thats why you’re getting such low credit limit. Low limit is bad
I'm finding conflicting info online on what travel qualifies for double points. It looks like booking a cruise directly with the cruise line earns double points, but booking that same cruise through a travel agency only earns single points. Does anyone have experience with that?
