@@hegsonr3143While some users have been able to successfully make Mortgages and HOA payments, this goes against Bilt's ToS. The rocket seems to be interesting but I’ll stick with Bilt since I’m a renter and in this case, thankfully so 😅. Bilt offers much more flexibility with their points. It’ll be pretty cool if rocket were to change it up to compete with Bilt. If Bilt adds mortgages, I’d consider it game over for the rocket card. Great video Ben!
I break my rent up into 3-different transactions and then I spend the last 2 transactions on paying my electric bill and one restaurant. If one wanted to, you could pay your rent, 5-different times ( I only do it 3-times). Also, I also have a mortgage, so BEWARE, you cannot use it for BOTH mortgage and rent. I have tried this and have gotten a warning-letter. It can only be ONE or THE OTHER. (fyi)
@investor9482 umm, I actually HAVE Bilt, so I know I'm getting points for ALL of my transactions. You need 5 transactions, minimally. I have access to my account, you don't. (Bizarre comment)
@@angieharris8015 Okay… just clarifying that the terms and conditions, which I’ve read, state otherwise. You might be getting around it somehow. Perhaps actually charging the card. I don’t have access to your account. However the terms are rather clear
@@investor9482 Yes, that is what I am doing, I am charging (charging) the card. When it comes to the rent, I am (charging) it, 3 different times, because there is NOTHING that says "how many times" one can pay rent. It is all going to the landlord on file with Bilt.
That's a great idea to split up the rent. How is that done? Do you pay a portion a week with last portion being on the 1st? Paying a monthly bill to meet the 5 minimum usage requirement is good idea. :)
Unless you get a pre-approval invitation from Wells Fargo and they only do a soft hit on your credit you still will have to “apply” for the card. BILT WILL do a hard hit on your credit. So, if you do have plans to apply for a mortgage then plan on taking a BIG hit on your score. It took me 6 months to regain 66 points after a hard hit on my credit.
Always found the Rocket Mortgage card fascinating, coming from the real estate world, I’ve heard a lot of good things about Rocket mortgage. Some bad as well but usually on the sell side and not the buy side, 5% back on everything is an interesting proposition for those who don’t care much for any other cards and or, love Rocket Mortgages haha. Great video Ben! Like others mentioned, your presentation and sound quality were immaculate.
I would love to see Bilt allow you to pay a mortgage with their card. It would be so OP.
Would probably put them out of business
I'd use them as my main credit card if they did.
It does allow you…
@@hegsonr3143how can you make it happen ? I read that is not possible

Am I correct that the Rocket Mortgage card is useless to me if I have my mortgage paid with another bank?
Yeah, sadly
Obviously.
What if rocket mortgage sells the home loan 2 years later . Then what?

Did you say you can use a Citibank double points card to pay your mortgage?
That is a good question
Is it true ?
Same question here?.
Loving the new backgrounds kind sir
Thanks for review. Was unaware/forgot about mortgage card. Thanks Ben!
I don't see any cons to using the rent credit card. Pay your rent, make 5 transactions, then use the card of your choosing for the rest of the month.

Waiting for BILT to get in the mortgage game
It will be a losing business model. Too many rich landlords are waiting and BILT will lose tons of money on rewards.

how much is 1 bilt point in terms of dollar value?
Mileage may vary
I do not have bilts card because I don’t have rent . I would sign up for it if they start offering sign up bonus 🤪
Thank you for your content🙏🏾
Bilt needs to up the point earnings on rental payments
Mortgage won’t happen. WFG is already losing a lot of money on rent.
Thank You.
Rocket card is pointless to mention. Worthless without their mortgage…
A mortgage credit card!!!! I will pass on this card, it is not that good.
Rocket is god awful. I wouldn't ever do business with them.
Mortgage payments aren't possible. Liar get your facts straight
Watch the video. All the facts are accurate.
Whatch the video. Two different credit cards. This guy is NOT a liar.
