Terry, I would make a wall that does not reach the ceiling that divides the bedroom from the living room and it would look fantastic. I would also put a large refrigerator and some cabinets. In such a cold place, how would they think of making an outdoor shower? That needs to be improved, no one will bathe outside in freezing weather..... Great hug from Miami FL ❤🇩🇴❤️
This particular unit is ideal for short term stays. I’m not sure if the outside shower is a practical feature, especially if you live in or are visiting an area that experiences cold weather in the autumn and winter. Overall, it looks comfortable. Thank you.
😂😂You forgot to to mention that shiney round thing, by that thing-a-mabob over on that dohikie next to the canooter valve.... 😂😂😂😂You had us Dieing on the the Coat Hooks..... Great Perspective.... Safe Travels Friend✌️
Gatlinburg had a huge fire in town about four years ago. These will be a nice addition to beds in a very popular destination in the. Smokey Mountains. Call it the Smokey Mountain Small.
Kerry, I guess I'm kind of surprised. Looked on Wind River's website for pricing. For 300-400sqft you would think there would be a better bang for the buck in using either a destination trailer or 5th Wheel. The styles offered are unbelievable these days. Getting them on-site I'm sure would be much cheaper. Build decks they can be pulled up to and your done. If need be, they could easily be moved to another location (especially 75 of them). Build time would be much less. Obviously just my .02 :)
Karry always does a great job. It's sad there's even a market being exploited for things like this. Unsustainable petroleum products with ginormous carbon footprint marketed as some kind of luxury accommodation when it's just an over priced and under sized trailer home.
When you said "Cleveland" I assumed you meant Ohio...was wondering why you landed in Tennessee 🤔 Outdoor shower is novel but definitely not cool. In Michigan I could only shower for 3 months of the year 🙄
They have a similar model on their site and it's 167K USD starting. 😅 I would rather buy a home Depot building and customize it myself for less than half that price.
Wonder why they didn't go 399 square feet to go for the park model market. Cool design but ticks my biggest pet peeve: most windows that don't open, so they assume grid connected to run AC. The outdoor shower shouldn't be fully enclosed as that makes it a pain to clean. It'd be much better to be able to sweep or hose it out every once and a while.
The American idea of what a "cottage" is, is laughable. It literally only has ONE of the things usually required to qualify as a cottage - that being the covered porch (which is too big even then). Wrong window type, ceiling too high, construction style not correct, roof isn't steep enough (though it is gabled), zero chimney and even the character and internal decoration/feel (coziness) isn't correct. That is literally a Shed Style house NOT a cottage. It's a rather NICE Shed Style house, for its size, but a shed-style all the same.
I wouldn’t group all Americans in that assumption. This is just one youtuber’s opinion of a “cottage.” I think the rest of us would agree, this is more of a “cabin” style home.
I don't know about that outdoor shower for them mountain folks ?! You know those little boy cousins are going to be spying on the little girl cousins in the shower. Aren't they the ones that say if you ain't good enough for your cousin, who are you good enough for ? 😏😉😜
Plus these things are way way overpriced. You can buy a regular house in lots of places for these prices. The 390 square feet model is 167,000 bucks 😂..
Sadly, it IS the new normal. I live in a community where easily 1/3 of the homes are 400sq.ft. My home is around 600. I grew up in a home about this😊 size. It is indeed a "thing."
I personally love the tiny home idea. The homes I lived in as a kid were not huge like the homes of last 30 years! Why does every kid need their own bedroom & bathroom? Granted this particular model is not a home! If you listened it was built for the hospitality industry. I do agree that there are a lot of Tiny builders really are doing themselves a disservice by pricing Tiny’s so high! There are some tiny builders whose prices are a bit more reasonable. The big problem too is towns are not interested in allowing Tinys. Zoning laws require a certain minimum of square footage! I have wanted a home of 600 sq ft or less but where I live the minimum was 1200. I am just me, don’t have kids or grandkids so why does every kid I need a big house to take care of?
Not impressed with an outdoor shower. I don't want to take a shower outside, especially in cold and freezing weather which you would get in the Gatlinburg Area. (I took a trip to Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge, back in the Summer of 2002, stayed in a hotel in Pigeon Forge, had a fun time. Glad that one had walls around it for privacy, but it if were too hot or too cold, I don't care for the outdoor shower thing, just not into it. Can't understand this obsession with outdoor showers. I will stay where they have the shower indoors and a lot of privacy, (no pig window in the shower, thank you).
Hope the USDA isn't decimated. I'm in the process of getting a mortgage to buy a lot to put a modular on. The orange one says he's going to get rid of this agency.
Little Box on The Prairie. 😎
Haha 😂

Very close to where I grew up. 😊
I love that outside shower, but… when it’s cold I’d skip that, LOL! Give me both! 😂
Kerry, I love these. Talk about extending a tiny home and making it look like an awesome getaway home
right? super cool model
Really interesting......looking forward to more info!!! Thx

Thanks for tuning in John!
Very cool little house !
I like that nice big front porch. 👍
Great tour, Kerry !
Thanks for the info. 👍
appreciate you covering stuff in the US👍
More to come!
Great city and very walkable and home to some great microbrews
I really enjoyed my time in the area
You're just never home these days, Kerry! Thanks for the tour--definitely a unique design.
Thanks for tuning in!
Definitely a very cool hospitality unit, the outdoor shower is a unique feature!
It really is! Thanks for watching Philip

Kerry opens refrigerator and says, “…oh, there’s water in there”. 😂😂😂
Must have been thirsty 😂
I LOVE Wind RIver Tinys!
I went in the The Rutledge 🤯
Gatlinburg had a huge fire in town about four years ago. These will be a nice addition to beds in a very popular destination in the. Smokey Mountains.
Call it the Smokey Mountain Small.
Nice Terry again!!
I live near Nashville and know Cleveland well. I hope you enjoyed southern hospitality.
It was amazing, had a great time
An interesting home!

When I’m thinking of renting a cabin in gatlinburg, I want a cabin, that is just a smaller version of my house, I’d rather stay in a hotel than that.
That shower is a money maker.
Right?
The outdoor shower should have a door to access it from outside. Windows would make showers much more invigorating. The stone tile is very good.
Good ideas!
Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Yeah it's all fun and games showering outside in the mountains, until the opossums and bobcats show up.
Haha that would ruin the ambiance
Or some creeper decides to watch you shower by standing on a chair or ladder.
Call it the Tennessee Twilight… all the windows to watch a Smokey mountain sunset .
Nice!
Oh cool! I live in TN.
Cool place!
It has no name? Then I shall name it, Frodo.
Haha I like it
hmph, not for us -- looking for heavy snow load and INdoor shower -- but that is not your problem. . . . Great vid, as usual . . . TY!
Appreciate you tuning in!
nice one
Thanks!
Modern Cottage is good but I'm leaning toward " Codern Mottage " ... It's a good get away place, Long Weekend... week in the mountains .. Nice
Smokie cottage
Let's call it "The Lost Opportunity" Because...it could have had much more square feet.
It looks like a Queen turned on its side.

The

The Katsumoto
Install a ramp instead of steps.
Divider between bed and couch. Maybe just chin high.

😅 Very true
I’ll call this one… The Bonefish
How much is the cost for this home at the time of filming?
No pricing yet Kerry?
How much do they cost
$167,000 so they say
was there something behind the toilet room door?
That bath is all smokies & mirrors.
I’d rather a real separate bedroom than huge deck, this feels off in every way.
If you're vacationing you'll have clothes and luggage. Nowhere for either. It's nice looking though.
Thanks for watching
👍

What's up with builders and their obsession with HUGE windows? You lose wall space and not every property has amazing views.
Wonder why they didn't go 399 square feet to go for the park model market.

More like a furniture warehouse store.
Wrong. This is a company’s idea of a cottage. You just want to jump at any chance at badmouthing Americans.
The windows need to be able to open for ventilation.
I don't know about that outdoor shower for them mountain folks ?!
You know those little boy cousins are going to be spying on the little girl cousins in the shower.
Aren't they the ones that say if you ain't good enough for your cousin, who are you good enough for ? 😏😉😜
Too much critical space assigned to be a porch. They could have put the shower indoors. That was NIT planned out very well.
Windows don't open/ No thanks!
This is NOT a home; why are we calling 400sq of space a home like it is supposed to be the new normal.
Plus these things are way way overpriced. You can buy a regular house in lots of places for these prices. The 390 square feet model is 167,000 bucks 😂..

😀
I stayed through the whole video to get pricing. Even though it's a custom unit you could have given a comparable estimate.
$167,000
How much?
$167,000 according to another post.
HA! 16 MINS ...
Nice!!
didn't post the rest of my comment .. i think a vid/series on all the 'flat pack' models/manufactures!! i know, im selfish!
I wish these companies would focus on homes for the homeless. Too may people ignoring the needy.
Not impressed with an outdoor shower. I don't want to take a shower outside, especially in cold and freezing weather which you would get in the Gatlinburg Area. Name :
The Kerry Cottage
Charge them royalties for the use of your name.
Funny you didn't mention it but I think it's the start of the WEF, you will own nothing and be happy dwellings...??? 🤣
Nah they want us in that cube he did a video on 11 days ago.😂
Nah....This Scream Home Depot Builder Grade Cabin.
They should've conferred with at least one woman while designing it. 😊
Too bleak looking.
Too much windows
No cozy spots
These aren’t homes nor are they cottages.
Hope the USDA isn't decimated. I'm in the process of getting a mortgage to buy a lot to put a modular on. The orange one says he's going to get rid of this agency.
Hope he does. Along with several others. I worked at the USDA - unimaginable waste.
I also want to do that but the permitting and ridiculous laws that keep people from putting a home even a small one on land you own is crazy.
MODernCOTtage
MODCOT
Nice!
How much?
