    notice how Max has no problem putting two wheels outside the white line to avoid a collision when he gets squeezed, yet Lando refused to budge an inch and just let the collision happen.

      Notice how the "give me space" brigade literally had no idea that actually happened in the past?
      Could be that the lot actually don't care and are on an agenda based mission, but that could just be me tho.
      Same ones who ignored Max avoiding some silly lunges from Lando which would've actually caused crashes much earlier in the race, and even as far back as the sprint.
      Swap in Alonso, Sainz, Charles, and even LH in there instead of Lando and;
      ◇Overtake would've been completed in maximum, 2 lunges
      ◇There would have been no collision in the turn. At most an extremely minor tap

    6:50 Vertappen picked the straight line from the very beginning knowing that any steering with a puncture might make the puncture worse (he felt that the tires was off at the corner and wasnt anymore on the straight). Lando had much more speed at this time and came from the back picking this line when he saw that Max was already there.

    • @CaptainBinkie
      @CaptainBinkie หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree.
      And besides, Max has the duty to get out of the way, leave the racing line because he has a damaged car.
      It was simply foolish of Norris to overtake him like that knowing that Max had a punctured tyre.
      Max could have lost control of his car when Lando passed him that way with such speed.
      I agree with a lot that the commentator says but this action was not dangerous because of Max, it was dangerous because Lando shouldn’t overtake a damaged car like that.
      I also wonder how much influence a punctured tyre had on Max’s ability to steer straight in that particular moment.
      I’m getting sick and tired of all those people who judge Max negatively because he wouldn’t purposely put Lando’s life in danger.
      It was absolutely uncalled for Lando to overtake him at that moment in that manner.

      Exactly. Video author showed his lack of consistency and just made up BS blame. Max was not pushing anything off the track, he moved his car to the side of the track to get to the pits safely. It's Lando who (again) tried to pass him like crazy. Tongue-tied youtubers should find better field to show their skills.

    A few things i'd like to have my say on. I dont think Lando was pushing the way he did for a win because he didnt believe in himself, what i saw was a driver who's new to winning and very desperate to get more of it. As for Max i saw a guy who's very pissed off that his team basically threw away his lead which i do think lead to Max putting a bit more aggression into his defending, and although he did move late 3 times i think it was, i still think the defending was pretty fair, and he still left space. He could've also easily started defending with more aggression given Landos divebombs that were out of control.
    I personally put the incident that they made contact on to be mostly on Max to blame, he is the one who moved afterall and effectively "steered" into Lando. But i also think Lando could have easily avoided it, but i think Landos lack of experience and such may have ruined that for him. We also need to remember that we've never seen these 2 race hard against eachother, this was their first time i believe, and it wasnt the prettiest. But i do also think you can make the argument that Max might have expected another divebomb hence why he moved slightly to the left.
    As for the move after you brought up about Max weaving infront of Lando after they both got out on track, i do agree that it was stupid and he should get a penatly for dangerous driving for it, but i also think that that moment pointed out that Lando needs to work on his mentality, because by no means should he keep chasing Max and try to overtake him with a puncture. Lando pretty much destroyed him own car by not really nursing the car right away like Max more tried to do, but then again that's in the heat of the moment and experience that are the factors there. Overall, both drivers made mistakes that they could have done better. It's so amazing seeing Lando being up there with a good car now and fighting for wins like he deserves, and i also think that Max's wheel to wheel is more refined and fair now. Rest of this season will hopefully be amazing

    The part that you say that Max was absolutely crazy is precisely where YOU lose your marbles and start sounding like a complete idiot.
    He's driving with a puncture, minimizing steering input and moving off the racing line is absolutely the right thing to do. Qualifying ban for something like this is just you coming up with childish nonsense.

    • @CaptainBinkie
      @CaptainBinkie หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly what I think.
      In my opinion it was a racing incident.
      Lando is quite obsessed with defeating Max somehow.
      He fights nobody the way he fights Max.
      He’s so obsessed that he opened the door for George in Barcelona and he opened the door again for Oscar in the sprintrace.
      Other drivers would not have made that mistake because they oversee the whole picture.
      Lando has tunnelvision where it comes to fighting Max.

    • @whatshendrix
      @whatshendrix หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@CaptainBinkie Yup. Also when you look back Lando has always had trouble overtaking and defending his position. Max moving under braking wouldn't make such a huge difference to other drivers here, since the track is quite wide and Lando's pace advantage was considerable.

Out of the 3 times he does, 1 time doesnt effect Lando at all, 1 time he does need to back out to an extent or change his line.
