I'am totally grateful that a woman is showing how to do this. I trust a woman more then i do men because woman never lies when it comes to this kind of situations. Thank you mis for this video.
Injector has a gasket on it. Be sure to have one available. Keep one in the glove box. If dev usage goes up clean the crystals off with warm water. Buildup messes with the injector spray pattern making it less efficient.
A left handed drill bit. Those bolts are small so if the hole gets damaged, you can also use a drill bit to make the hole bigger or change out those bolts and use longer ones with a nut on the back to hold the filter in place. I had my brother's weld me two studs to my dpf filter, so whenever I replace the def injector I have to make one of the holes a little bigger. The manufacturer should've never put those small bolts in a place that gets so much heat.
I have a question I did replace the DEF inejctor and DEF pump on my truck but light or message never went off What i have to do to make that light go off?
If those were the issues it should reset itself after a few cycles, but putting a computer on it will show stored/pending codes and that way you can clear the stored codes and run a new scan.
My problem is the scanner doesnt read the codes is giving me codes for other problem bit not the DEF one And i have deleted it twice with the scanne and it just wont clear Thats why i was asking you about it
You may have to use a higher tech scanner, or lookup the codes that it's still showing to see if they relate to the same issue or something else. Some scanners must be bi-directional in order to clear/troubleshoot certain issues.
My issue was both NOx sensors i had to replace both of them too along with the DEF injector and DEF pump and then i did cleared the check engine light and it was done i hope this helps anybody who runs into a issue like that on the dealer would have cost me more than $3500 to repair it and i just spent $690
@selvinbatres Good job! Those sensors last a really long time. Mine have nearly 500k miles on them and they are just beginning to go bad. I'm glad you have your issue fixed.
PFFFF fuckin dealership wants to charge me $1700 to do this shit. Sabrina! Thank you for taking us to school. Blessings to you.

Sir, the injector gaskets come pre-installed. This video isn't soliciting help, it's actually showing how to solve the issue. 😇
Thanks Sabrina💯❤🔥

Do you know the actually name of that part....filter? injector? if you could put the part number, it would be great.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid injector(DEF injector)
The part number may differ depending on the year, make and model number of your truck
(4627241AF)
Thanks. Same bs.
You're welcome!
How did you get the broken bolts out?

my bolts are rusted out and i dont know how to get them off so i can do this to my 2500
I have a object stuck in my def filler tube. How can I get out ? It's about two inches from the top.
How could an object get in the filler tube? You'll have to take a pick tool to grab it and pull it up.

Do you idle it alot? Is it just a truck that you drive around town?
@@sharee-1111 usually drive no less than 30 min to anywhere
Where is this injection located. I need to to this
It's right at the top of your catalytic converter where it bolts to the dpf filter. Once you get under there and take a look around you'll see it.
name of the injector part , can’t find a fit for my eco diesel in auto zone or O Riley’s
They don't carry the DEF injectors in local part stores, you'll have to go to the dealer or order online. Amazon has them.
@@sharee-1111 Thank you !!
