In my shop. I used a two 2' chunks of steel studs welded together as a muffler and capped the ends. I saved to much heat. I set my coffee pot on it when I was working in there. Kept it hot enough to drink. And the muffler robbed a bunch of useful heat. You can use dyed diesel as well. It's off road fuel so no hwy taxes on the fuel.I also use a 30 gallon drum for a fuel tank.lol it ran every day last winter About a gallon a day. You want an 12v volt inverter that you can run up to 14 volt. Ad when the fire up they drag can get a little bit to much. I learned the hard way.
Just a heads-up, you're going to need a good filter set up before you start running used motor oil in that thing. I preferred reusable filters you can disassemble and clean out with gas or something.
Over here in Europe, back in the 90s, we ran cars off of vegetable oil. Depending on your injector setup, if you can filter used vegetable oil from the house, that's as free heat as it could get.
Run the exhaust through an old cast radiator to get an extra 1.25kw - be sure to taper everything down to the exit to ensure exhaust condensate exits out the silencer outside.
I have seen several of those Diesel heaters work. And every last one of them takes a few minutes to prime and while it's prominent makes that knocking noise. It's working just like it's supposed to
Hey guy I think the only thing that will be kind of hassle is you'll have to go outside and use the remote to start it up other than that. I think it's a good idea that's really cool. Love your show
If you put it outside your remote won't work and it won't put out as much heat. You could but an external tank and keep the fuel inside. Also add a fuel filter

That’s some good info. I appreciate that.

Very true. Didn’t think of that

Never thought of that.

It works great. Hopefully can use it soon.
Excellent. Waiting for update
Doing great. It’s in full use today. Cold down here. Will do an update video soon.

I keep the remote inside. It works thru the wall.
Great presentation of the heater hope it keeps the shop warm n toasty. Cool new shirt. When’s the shirt merch drop?
We need to list some shirts one day. Maybe when we get 50k subscribers
Pretty sweet work bench.
Do the wheels lock?
Yes. It comes in very handy.

Yes true but this is the south so not needing as much heat as someone up north
Can you add an expansion tank? How long does 1.5 gallons last?
I doubt you need to add another tank. This one will run a very long time. Not sure how long yet.
Looks good
Thank you
I like the heater. I like the setup. I think you should go with the power cord
Will do
@SwampBoysGarage you have to think about weather wise
This is going to be a stupid question but doesnt the exhaust throw out noxious fumes?
Yes it does
@@SwampBoysGarage so you can't run it in an enclosed space without venting the exhaust outside?
Use also exhaust heat with some longer pipe!
Make sure you put the air intake inside so you're not sucking cold air instead of the already heated air
You can probably use kerosene, heating oil, used motor oil as long as its filtered and preheated ...if it's like other diesel heaters
Can probably mix all kinds of stuff. Used cooking oil too.
He’s out
