loved this !!! great documentary, well made, great narration beautifully filmed ..... I want a Brompton and an adventure now! thanks for sharing that was great.
What an amazing video and superbly edited and narrated. This is exactly what I want to be doing, I've been researching folding bikes and inflatable rafts and decided on the brompton and the alpackaraft as the ultimate adventure combo to suit my needs and here you lads are, you've already beaten me to the punch ^_^ I enjoyed your video immensely and I'm gonna be sharing it with all my friends, thank you.
Good job, guys. Quite a while ago now but I bet you remember that one. I was just sitting here on my couch wondering if anybody ever thought about putting a pack raft on a brompton… or a brompton on a pack raft… and you took that idea to the extreme. I salute you!
U guys are brave to be riding in balloons across cold open water n right near to them old sharp jagged rocks. Well done from a folding bike riding Londoner, that had never heard of Muggle Flugga👍🏾
Well done guys. Champion video, narrated like naturals. I really like some of your unusual shots and angles, bringing the Shetlands to life. I'm really surprised it rained up there ;) Bromptons and Alpackas seem strange bedfellows, but clearly they worked well as a team.
Fantastic Adventure. I took that route with a photography group this past summer and it was absolutely the best trip ever. It's scary watching you brave those waters though. Making it to Muckle Flugga is a great experience. Thanks for sharing.
I done a trip from Land's End to Muckle Flugga in August 1988, by road, rail and ferry, I camped on a farm in Haroldswick and walked to the furthest point, Happy days!
What an adventure and so well filmed. Bromptons are so much more than a city bike - I love mine. I've just been looking for information on you pack raft, another great fine bit of kit. Thanks for posting :-)
Alistair Humphreys, I should have known. Came across this superb little video by accident whilst researching the Brompton. Your adventures and books have been inspirational.
loved your vid lol when you said about boating across in your boat . I thought where is it and how are the bikes going to fit in it ? You guys have some guts true adventure well done.
I need a Brompton with fat wheels to accommodate the huge cobblestones where I live in Mexico. Anyone have any ideas. I don’t want to give up my Brommie but it gets stuck in the ruts. Help!
eeerm very good lol, ive a Brompton and love the thing, but on watching your vid and looked into it a bit, I had no idea there was a whole subculture devoted to them, amazing lol
Looks like a great adventure!. Just wondering, but did you suffer from many punctures or broken spokes on this little escapade?? From my experience, the Brompton bike is very prone to these problems when loaded-up with touring gear...and getting the back wheel off to make repairs is a real hassle.
haha. You're right. It's one of my favorite jokes though. How do you know if you are in a middle class or working class area? In a working class area men are wrestling with each other in the street, in a middle class area men are wrestling their folding bicycles. Maybe I don't tell it well. It was one of my father's best told jokes.
Great video and adventure! Am I correct in identifying the packrafts as Alpacka Scouts? If so, is the spray skirt you guys were using just a trash bag and some tape? I couldn't quite tell for sure but really hoping this is what you improvised! I have thought I trying that on my own, so curious
Probably one of the 10 best outing videos on the tube. Both photography, sound track, commentary, editing, and idea. Great job!
How can you not love this? Great job guys. Pints earned.
Top job lads!
No excuses now, for me and my Wee Bike, after watching this fab adventure.
Best...

Awesome and insiring, I put my Brompton on a packraft and sailed into the sea! but not without a waterproof pack.
Inspirational and beautiful footage. Thank you from a middle class city boy with a Brompton (who likes to get out of the city when he can!)
Beautifully filmed with appropriate music. Loved the scene with the pony sniffing at the Brompton.

Did you make the crossings of yellsound and Bluemull sound by canoe?
Que maravilla!!
Looks like a great adventure!. Just wondering, but did you suffer from many punctures or broken spokes on this little escapade?? From my experience, the Brompton bike is very prone to these problems when loaded-up with touring gear...and getting the back wheel off to make repairs is a real hassle.

great video!. I like your ships, what brand are they?
Great video and idea, let down by the unnecessary, small minded comment aimed a Brompton owners.
What are the inflatable kayaks you used ?
Great video and adventure!
Am I correct in identifying the packrafts as Alpacka Scouts?
If so, is the spray skirt you guys were using just a trash bag and some tape? I couldn't quite tell for sure but really hoping this is what you improvised! I have thought I trying that on my own, so curious
