I shall endeavor to address all the posters who have complained that this isn't a heavy metal amp.
Simply put, this is NOT a heavy metal amp.
It is a light wood amp which has some metal parts which contribute only slightly to the overall weight.
There, I hope this puts the matter to rest so all you metal heads can go back to doing whatever it is you do.

I love Orange. This crush has a fantastic clean tone I use for blues improv all the time. The distortion takes some fiddling around with to get a good sound but when you do it screams 🤙🏻Saving up for a bigger Orange amp in the future!

The more i hear Orange, the more i feel it sounds like a Peavey 6505, but bigger, fuller and more defined. Better in every way. I'm impressed even by those tiny ss amps!

NEW The Healing Sounds Of Nature I absolutely love it. For such a small amp it’s insanely loud and sounds amazing. I play mainly doom and post rock and it’s perfect, for me.
Just got this about a week ago along with a gretsch g5425 electromatic jet club in silver and I can't stop playing. Since my daughter is more into her boyfriend then hanging with daddy, I got more time to play again 😢/😁

This is one FANTASTIC amp. I bought the OR20 - I didn't need reverb due to my epic Fender Marine Layer Reverb - and I've been totally blown away.
For the money, this amp is a great deal.
But whatever you do, STAY AWAY from the Marshall MG series; the 'MG' stands for "MAJOR GARBAGE".
Why mg is so bad?
Benja: the Marshall MG Series is their entry level line of amps. They're solid state and lack the tonal response of an "all-tube" amp.
They have low grade Celestion speakers and, simply put, they just don't sound that good.
Vox & Orange makes amps in the same price range which obliterate the MG's.
To a newbie, the MG says "Marshall" and has blazing distortion so it's 'good' to them but to people who have been playing for years, the MG Series isn't at all impressive.
I had a 100 watt MG stack and sold the head. It sounded pretty good on the clean setting but the distortion channel was awful. I kept the two 4×12 cabinets for use with other amps.
Have a difference betwn OR20 for the OR20 RT?
William: the only difference between the two is that the RT has an on-board reverb.
RyR: Yes. Orange Crush 20 & Crush 20RT are the same amp. The only difference is the RT has reverb & an onboard tuner.
I would've bought the 20RT but I found a steal of a deal on the 20; $99. I already have a great reverb pedal so it made no sense to pay basically twice as much just for the reverb.

The rt also has a dirty switch so you can quickly go from rocking your balls off to 80's balled in a flick of a switch

No. You probably can find the two being compared on youtube. The 20RT has that 4 stages thing, the 20 doesn’t, and it sounds awful compared to the 20RT
@@idontgivea1769 well that's just bs. the 20 has the gain stages as well, as it is literally the exact same circuit as the 20rt, just without the tuner and reverb. so if you think it sounds awful in comparison, the problem is in your ears, not the amp.

Nice video, I'm just getting back into guitar, was never that good to begin with really and don't understand much about amps, I did however have a Marshall half stack that had a foot pedal to alternate between clean and distortion. I'm looking for the best practice amp orange do which can have a pedal for selecting between channels, can anyone point me in the right direction please?

If you get the Orange, get a compressor and/or overdrive for it, so you can get a better attack without pissing off the neighbors. The Orange Crush, even the 20RT gets REALLY loud. I live in an apartment too and own one. I've owned a Katana Mini and it's great. Just keep in mind the tiny speaker will make a huge difference. It sounds a wee bit boxy. Give the Micro Cube GX a look too.
@@TwistedIdentity too late for your comment. I already brought home cube gx. The clean is blow my mind and even better then 20rt but the distortion a little disappointing, but still considered good. I've fried the 20,RT on the store and the distortion actually amazing but the hissing from the gain is very annoying.

If you live in an apartment where neighbors can easily hear you then it not going to work but it sounds great through headphones. But I haven't got this thing past two in fear my neighbors will freak. Loud for a small box

THIS IS NOT A HEAVY METAL AMP !!! I bought it because this review and i had to give it back. Too muddy distortion , too much mids and bass. I hated it at the first hearing. I changed it by a Blackstar id core 20 v2 and sounds much better. Very heavy. With effects and stereo. I have no much space so it is perfect for me. Good review anyway.
