Totally incorrect information. Yes, Rome was sacked in 410 AD but most of the public monuments suffered very little damage. Future invasions of the city did greater damage. Check your sources.
First, I always do my research before commenting on historical events. Second, were you there in 410 A.D.? Then how do you know that your source is correct? What we read today about events hundreds or thousands of years ago may or may not be totally accurate, but that's what we have to go by. I will always use facts given by a majority of sources. I just Googled it and EVERY article says that most or many of the monuments were destroyed in 410 A.D. Perhaps you need to go back and check YOUR sources.
