Love this movie. Can't believe how underrated it is with the all-star cast. Between Bruce, Morgan, John, then you add Helen Mirren, you can't go wrong. Mary Louise Parker is an actress I've been in love/lust with for a long time even before she was on Weeds. RED 2 is one of those sequels that lives up to the first movie.
Great movie. John Malkovich usually plays such SERIOUS characters, and it was delightful seeing him obviously having huge fun playing Marvin in this movie.
“The worlds most dissatisfied Olive Garden patron” is somehow a really effective shtick for a character actor. I loved him as a lead/antagonist the few times it happened, but he has really moved into a place where he gets to have fun and add flavor to movies that would be less interesting without him.
Oh man i luv this movie! I am so happy you got to watch and I vote for you to watch RED2! Jen you have been inducted into the RED team... Really Extremely Delightful!!!❤ This has everything you like; secret agents, bad guys turned good, bad guys put down, luv story, and a sequel! 😅 Looking forward to the next movie! Luv ya Jen ❤️💛
Watch the second one, by all means , Jen you'll love it . I'm so proud of you , recognizing Ernest Borgnine ! I knew you would have so much fun with this when I rewatched the movie last year . I'm get such a kick out of your excitement , the head bobs , the giggling wheezing combination , unique to you , lol . Great Job! All you non subscribers , please sign up or there may be a nigerian prince in your future .
I know I've seen Ernest Borgnine in a ton of movies over the years, but my favorite thing is still when he did the tv show Airwolf and I got to see him every week. X)
“I’m getting the PIG!!!” -Marvin Boggs “They switch the flip… and you’re done.” Love your reactions. You’re a delight as always because I love to join you laughing. Although, your laughter is magical and I am susceptible to enchantment. Most times I just smile. Many thanks again for your content. Keep on keeping on, little lady, Gritos from Tejas. 🤠
Such a fun and very underrated action movie with a great cast, the sequel was pretty good as well and just hearing Bruce’s voice again makes me sad knowing he lost his.
Jen's relationship advice about understanding the woman you like by reading something she enjoys is on point! 😉 She also sometimes asks the questions that I often want to ask too. 👏
Both Red movies are fun, if you enjoyed this one you will also like the next one. The same people are in the next one which makes it a true sequel. I can really see you taking the young lady's place in these movies, you would be great in them.
Retired Extremely Dan-Jen-rous! 😜 I was very excited when I saw you’d watched this. It’s brilliant and I knew you’d love it!! Red 2 is a must watch if you love the first one this much.
A little FYI Hellen Mirren was in Star Wars, Rouge One. Flying an X-Wing fighter & her 1 line was "How much more can that thing take,!" When attacking the shield gate above Scarref. I noticed her but don't think many others did. She asked the producer for a part because she always wanted to be in a Star Wars movie 😊
When I look back on this in the future, I'll remember 15:33 as the moment I fell in love with Jen. ❤ Definitely, you should see Being John Malkovich. I can't remember offhand if you've watched the recent Star Trek reboots on here, but Karl Urban plays Dr. McCoy.
Hey Jen! Shout out from the US Marine Corps! So glad to have watched this movie reaction with you! This movie is so underrated and not a lot of people do enough reactions to this movie Mark Red 2 in my opinion is just as good as the first one! Whenever you have time I recommend checking out the sequel to this movie! I know I've seen some hate on this movie but I don't really get why. Other than maybe you don't like spy comedies?! Or maybe people think it's too cheesy. I don't know I personally love Cheetos! Anyways keep up the great reactions I absolutely love watching a beautiful soul like yourself react to a great movie like this! Semper fi, Slava Ukraini, and peace!
12:45 Mark! Jen, howdy! 🤠 Aha! Thanks to "Netflix" I was able to binge watch "Space Force" created by and starring Steve Carell. Actor John Malkovich is in it, but I didn't realize that he is the same actor that's in this movie, because they are so different! At least to me they are! 😅
Why this movie isn't talked about more - and reacted to more - is a mystery to me. It is so incredibly fun. Great performances from an absolutely loaded cast, and such a witty script. Okay, so it's not *entirely* realistic (Mythbusters did a bit on the bullet vs. rocket launcher thing, and it just doesn't work that way), but this is the kind of movie where you ignore that and just go with the flow. So glad you reacted to this one. The second one is okay, but it's nowhere near as good as this one.
My parents saw this and RED 2 in the theater and we loved both films. A third RED movie was in development, but it was cancelled due to the poor box office reception of RED 2. A TV series based on the movie has been in development as of 2017.
Seeing how badly things went for the TV versions of Mr and Mrs Smith and True Lies, I really hope they give up on the idea of a Red series and leave us with the 2 movies to enjoy untarnished. I really wish there had been a Red 3 though.
I am overjoyed to finally see this movie with you. The corner shot is an attachment to allow you to see and shoot around the corner safely (depending on what the corner is made of, if corner is an empty refrigerator box a bb gun can still get you). Red 2, yes please.
Jen, I recall how reserved you were when I first started watching your channel. Then, over time, as you opened up more and more, your reactions revealed YOU to US (a show of trust THIS fan appreciates very much!). It was during one such reaction when I thought HOW MUCH you reminded me of Sarah Ross played by Mary-Louise Parker in this movie. Thanks for the fun! Thank you, Jen, for
Thank you! I used to be so nervous to be myself but doing these reactions has been an awesome experience + helped me to fully embraced my nerdiness :) Thanks for being along for the journey!
The first time i saw this movie i had tears of laughter in my eyes with Marvin and his "pig". From the few times i have seen John Malkovich in movies this is my favorite role of his.
I was so looking forward to watching your reaction to this one. Laughed my head off when you said "she is me". That was exactly what I was hoping you would recognise in her. Every time I see this movie I see you in that elevator scene "Awesome"... lol
10:45 - Props for recognizing Ernest Borgnine. He also starred in a 1980's espionage show called Airwolf (1984 - 1987) that featured a high tech, super classified CIA helicopter (like Knight Rider but with helicopters). Definitely worth a reaction IMO.
YAY! So glad your are watching RED, Jen. One of my new favorite movies. The TOS Star Trek ones are really rocking it also. Gold Star for you and thank you for fun! :)
3:18 "What happens when you boil bullets? Well, sauté..." Bless our Canadian / Canadienne cousins, the little bit of French in them forces out usage of the correct culinary term. That's the most I've laughed all week. If you ever visit London, I'll buy you a beer / bière 😀
I almost screamed when I saw this pop up. This is my favorite movie series. The second one is even better. The performances in both movies are amazing. They all look like they are having so much fun. If you want another super fun Bruce Willis movie try the 4th die hard “Live Free or Die Hard”. Also Hudson Hawk.
28:48 -- RE: "I've been loving the Music on the Soundtrack for this film...."; The one that's playing at the moment was also featured prominently in Quentin Tarantino's "Jackie Brown".
Operative Jen Murray: What a fun way to start my weekend, with a reaction to RED. RED 2 is just as much fun. Love your reaction, as always. Have a perfect weekend. 😉👌
I am very glad you picked this one to watch. I gently urged you to do so in the poll. I got dragged to see this by a girlfriend and it immediately became one of my most favorite movies. Jen, you are as much of a joy to watch as the movies you choose. Never stop being you.
So glad you pointed out the DC Comics at the beginning. I never realized that when I first saw this and hated it. Knowing what the backstory is now, and the style from the novel and DC Comics, I really enjoy it now.
The grenade launcher lady is actress Audrey Wasilewski. She's the current voice of ET, the Extra Terrestrial. She's also Arlene, Garfield The Cats girlfriend! I grew up with her as Tuck in the NickToon series My Life As A Teenage Robot.
I was hoping this would cross your radar sooner or later, and seeing your other action and heist movie reactions I knew you’d appreciate it! The sequel is just as fun. Highly recommend.
That was fun. Now that I've seen this reaction, I'll have to check out the movie in full (for the first time lol). Hope you're good, btw. Have a great weekend :) x
Been saving your full reaction for the weekend with snacks ofc but just a quick post to firstly help the channel secondly yes to everything but in this case to watching red 2 and thirdly to wish you a wonderful evening and a fantastic weekend Jen and as always huge thanks for the amazing content 🥂
'The guy from Jaws' is Richard Dreyfuss with an extensive list of films to his name. Top picks for me: Stakeout, Mr Holland's Opus, Always, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.
As fun and awesome as this movie is (especially for us oldtimers in the audience), seeing Bruce Willis in top form and doing what he loves makes the updates from his family about his declining health even sadder.

"Is this a Cristmas movie?" It is now, for me anyway. It's joining Carry On Cleo, Rio Bravo, Die Hard and Where Eagles Dare on my Christmas viewing list (not all of those are Christmas movies)

And Brian Cox is great fun. I feel like his character in this is a distant cousin to his character in The Long Kiss Goodnight.
M.L.P. is awesome! I was first taken with her in "Angels In America", and Weeds gave me a life-long crush. 😍
I loved Mary-Louise Parker in Fried Green Tomatoes. Never seen Weeds; I should probably check it out too! :)
@@xzonia1 You'll dig Weeds.
@@xzonia1I recommend stopping after three seasons. It gets real dumb real fast after that.
RIP Ernest Borgnine. He was 93 when this movie came out and didn't look like he was about to even slow down.
Oh wow, he didn't look 93!
In 'The Wild Bunch' (1969), he was Sam Peckinpah's version of a Reservoir Dog. 🐴🤠

The sequel is also just as fun. 🤩 It’s also worth a reaction. 👍
Bruce Willis getting out of a car in this movie is the coolest thing I ever seen!

Such a good film with cast. Mr. Moses' neighbors are still in court and therapy after that night. lol
Such a fun and very underrated action movie with a great cast, the sequel was pretty good as well and just hearing Bruce’s voice again makes me sad knowing he lost his.
