    This was so helpful and straight to the point. I gotta do some major changes to some of descriptions. I feel like at the beginning is so tempting to just copy/paste the same descriptions for similar products, but this really gave me so many ideas on how I can make each one unique, thanks so mcuh!

    Love the tips - thank you! I've long had a question with no one to ask. I have dozens of the SAME product, just with different patterns. What's your opinion on writing a stellar product description, then just tweaking the first paragraph to reflect the pattern that's shown. I'm a solopreneur and really don't have the time to write entire unique descriptions for each of 300 items. (I'm open to comments from anyone)

    • @learnwithshopify
      @learnwithshopify  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If it’s all the same product, what you have recommended may be the most time efficient option. But if you are trying to rank in Search be cautioned that Google penalizes duplicate content, which generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar. So your approach may hurt your websites SEO.

    • @learnwithshopify
      @learnwithshopify  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally understand where you're coming from, but simple can also be the way to go when it comes to choosing words to explain to prospective customers! This will allow them to fully understand your product story and what it is that you're trying to sell.
      If you're wanting to get some ideas on different wording that you can potentially use however, I recommend using this third-party tool: bit.ly/3OXpkn2 to help. Best of luck!

      Great question! Keeping your homepage relevant for the time of the year is a great option. For example, with spring upon us and easter around the corner. Theming your homepage around that is a good idea. We are also seeing the weather start to get warmer, perhaps running a sale on last-minute cold-weather clothes would be beneficial as well. - Dirk

A backpack that will be your companion in the different phases of the year, in the beginning of autumn with its falling leaves, in the cold winter with a cup of coffee at the workplace or at the university, on your way to these places full of new every day, in your sitting with your book with a light rain, in entering The new year"
