    The Aviator has the superior powertrain and the materials look (and feel) nicer. I understand the price points might not make these an apples to apple comparison but that lincoln is light years nicer.

      From my personal experience, Infiniti infotainment center crapped out on me pretty fast. Japanese cars look similar to American ones but reliability, longevity and attention to quality and details is still desirable.

    I purchased the Lincoln Aviator last year after comparing other vehicles, so I decided to go with the Lincoln Aviator Black Label which is the top of the Aviator models and let me tell you this vehicle is great has the power you want and look superior to other vehicles. I choose the Black Label Lincoln Aviator because I wanted the entire package deal. inside the center console it has a slide pocket phone charger just put your phone in it and it will charge fast. I love everything about this Aviator. I compared 6 other vehicles to it and choose the Aviator.

      I also got the aviator grand touring black label, I'm in love with it. I've always owned lincolns, but the Aviator is far superior to all the other lincoln models. I live in New York, and I love that I can toggle between battery and gas when I get in some traffic jams. I also love the excite mode when I want to have a little fun 😏.

    Interesting comparison. I have owned an Infiniti QX4 which was, as Infiniti called it their first “truck”. Never had a single issue with my Q car. Over 19 years of driving pleasure, until Oct 26th when a drunk driver hit me head on at a traffic light. It was a pick truck and my husband and I were not injured. I think we are safe due to the frame weight and my well made Q car. My insurance company totaled my Q car and I am very very sad.
    I am now shopping for a new ride. I have picked the QX60, Aviator and VW Atlas as my top three contenders. Concerned that Lincoln is just a Ford, and VW has a higher maintenance cost, I am leaning toward the QX. I really wish none of those three had a 3rd row it is useless to me. I would prefer a nice flat carpeted floor in the back. I know that the QX would probably be another good 20 year car, but I am 70 next month, so maybe a 10 year Lincoln would be ok.
    I plan to hold off as long as I can before buying, hoping for a better economy and lower prices. Hard to make myself spend 70k for a Ford.

      My two cents: the Lincoln is no Ford. It's miles apart. That said, I've had two Lincolns over the last 12 years (and these were basically Fords) and they have been by far the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned, and I owned Nissans and Toyotas in the past. Personally looking at an Aviator as well. Good luck to your purchase decision

    my aviator listed at 83K due to more options and the extra pluggable EV 100 hp motor and battery. I get 30 mpg on the highway and can run it on battery mode for 20 miles and plug it in when ever. The battery saves my $150.00 monthly in gas. If I use the battery with the gas engine I have a combined HP of 500!

    I decided on a 2023 Aviator in August. So far so good. Seems like they've dealt with the QC bugs that plagued earlier model years. Its goes like sh1t, gives 26mpg hwy & looks like a Range. QX60 is under powered. And i prefer Aviators exterior lines. Pricing was close enough. There are lots of 63-68K Aviators. I have one.
    The main competition was the CX90 & MDX, for me. Must admit CX90 is easily the "value" leader. So much more for the same $...MDX still is classified as (sub)Lux - which i disagree with.
    Call it peer pressure; I wanted certified LUX (replacing a Cadillac). Sorry Mazda.
    The GV80 was too much $ + the small dealer network. Wife has an X5 which we love, but they're everywhere now: ubiquitous & more $...Didn't even look @ XT6 after my Cadillac (XTS 4) dealer/service nightmare. Thats about it.

  • @mholmes9262
    @mholmes9262 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Both of these are very nice vehicles but the Lincoln is subjectively and objectively superior in most ways, except reliability… they have been plagued with issues since they came out. I would lease one but I wouldn’t own one outside of the warranty. The Infiniti looks great, the biggest negative with it is the choice of wheels and why not use the 3.0t engine? All they had to do is drop it in and they’d have a much more competitive vehicle. The 3.5NA.engine is a good engine and probably all the performance most people would need for kid and grocery duty but it’s still way down on torque compared to the Lincoln. Also Infiniti shouldn’t have approved the chrome plates mimicking exhaust outlets for the final production cut. They take a really stupid trend to the next level of stupidity because they don’t even try to look like they’re actually functional. Weird. Otherwise it’s a pretty attractive car but I’m guessing it’ll get old explaining to curious onlookers why they exist at all.

    It's funny how there's so much unanimous agreement about Nissan being notorious for unreliability when the same could be said about every brand. Heck Toyota and Honda all have their fair share too and should I mention the German brands like audi and so on.l? The fact that a car has CVT doesn't automatically make it junk. And CVT has been around before most people were born. It usually has to do with maintenance and driving behavior. I've seen just as many CVT Nissans and infinitis around that are 20+ years. So far my most unreliable brand experience has been lincoln (ford) and but the MKS to be specific so once again let's not speak based on emotions and hearsay. I've owned BMW, VW, infinity, tomato, lexus, Honda and Lincoln. I've also seen just as many Teslas being towed too so no one particular brand is safe!

    I don't think this is remotely a comparison that is relevant. There is interest in the QX because it's the new kid in the block but Nissan always has tech that's not anywhere near cutting edge. As the owner of several of them, they are more near lux (premium) vehicles than actually a luxury vehicle. The Aviator is going after Mercedes, BMW and Land Rover. QX60 isn't benchmarking them. That said I plan to have an Aviator one inventories get back to normal.

  • @derrekb4501
    @derrekb4501 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would advise all new car buyers to hold back and wait as long as they possibly can. Dealers are marking up these new cars like there is no tomorrow, you can expect to pay $1000s to $10k over sticker right now. QXs are non existent, when they are available they are grossly marked up. That goes for nearly all new cars right now. Do no give dealers that profit, they are crooks. A honest dealer would at best sell at MSRP, and create a list, first come first serve...but that's not the reality today, a lot of manufactures are letting dealers ripping people off. Ford supposedly is warning dealers charge over MSRP to lose their supply but that can be done immediately.
