I’m not sure but the sluice gates that let water into the new reservoir could probably be set to close on downstream depth above .5 or so and also close when contaminated. And then the bad water chute sluice gates could be replaced with dams. Then good water would fill in that area and if the main sluice gates are closed and the level gets too high, the excess will flow out the dams. And since they will be closed when it is bad water, the bad water will flow out the dams. Just a thought, enjoying the series! Maybe you have a solution in a later episode 😊
You would have to replace all the dam pieces on top of the reservoir with levees
But that waterfall looks pretty cool!
Until I have another power generation solution sorted the water flowing through the river as it does now provides a nice boost during temperate seasons.
The surging will stop once you take away 1 dam.
You really should put a cap on the badwater discharge, so you always have a base power level, before starting to route the badwater off the side.
Good stuff.
I'll try removing a dam block and that is a very good idea. I guess I need to unlock explosives so I can build that.
Enjoying the series. I think sluice gates measure downstream water levels, and need to be on the same elevation they're discharging to to in order to manage release rates if you're using them for that. Obviously they will work fine if you're just using them to filter contamination
Thanks. They do measure downstream, they do not appear to need to be at the same level, from what I've seen it measures the level at the next block after the sluice gate. We will find out in the drought.
Why not put the sluice gates at the bottom of the dam. You also would only need one to top up down stream during droughts
Honestly don't remember why I chose the level I did, but changing now would be a massive rebuild. And I went for that many for the visual effect :)
@@DisTurbedSimulations Sluice gates SHOULD be at the bottom, else water collects behind them and you can't use it.
Maybe but here they aren't. I'm not rebuilding an entire dam to gain 1 block of water.
Great episode D/S the bad water chute has a good affect, and those other things i think they would have to be on manual, it’s a pity they are not variable and the would be spot on,I think you need 🧨🧨🧨 to make some proper water storage, and use the bad water things to divert it when it arrives 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You'll get to see how they all work next time :) and dynamite is on the way :D
I know a lot of people said it, but sluices at the bottom makes more sense.
sluices where I put them work just fine, and 1 block of water isn't going to wreck things
@@DisTurbedSimulations love the series
Thanks :) I'm loving this new update and what it lets us build
why dont you make a leg off the bad water chute, build it out and then open it up and close where you made the leg off down the area you dont want it
I think what you're describing is my plan, you'll see in the next video what I have in mind
The sluice wording and two options are confusing for everyone. They should replace it with a -100 to +100 slider and signify that left to right are contamination vs clean water. In my opinion.
The wording is quite similar to the simple triggers mod, which I'm a big fan off. For me it was more a case of first time using them in anger.
Ha. I get that. I’m digging your build! I’m stoked to see what you do
PLEASE freakin get some more pumps!
You know this is a 2 month old video, kind of hard to go back and change things based on your freakin comment
What music are you using in game bud? Keep up the good work :)
It's a random selection of classical music from epidemic sounds. When I included the game music I had issues with copyright, but I feel like timberborn is better with some background music. And thanks :)
