Man that looks so fun someday hopefully I gotta do some cool as shit like that question how much beer do you bring on a trip like that it's gotta be more than the fuel LOL😂
I agree. We have some of the best wheeling in the world where technical difficulty is concerned, but we don’t have the long distance “tracks” like the Aussies. Hope I can get there someday, but that’s a long, expensive jaunt for po folks.
Lads, get down here! Hire a 70 series and go fucking anywhere! Best time of your life. Think desert, lots of water and fuel, plb/epirb, never leave the vehicle, you’ll be a shitload safer than south Chicago or Iraq!!
The effort put into this channel is just remarkable. The angles. the shots. the amount of footage it must have taken and organisation to edit it all together. It's amazing.
I'm Nissan but I love 4x4s in general and Both those old girl's are awesome , all you need is an old Landrover and you've got the 3 car's that opened up our amazing Country !

As a real remote living Australian, I will have some word's for these guy's, mostly love their content, but I live there sometimes and it's just BS and destructive to our tracks for views. If I come across them I'll have a beer with them and let them know how the local guy's feel about their activities.

The passion and commitment is just top notch, thank you so much 4WD24/7 you make my dream come true even when I don’t have car I feel am part of the adventure 💙
Great to see you guys engage with another Simpson trip. We had a great adventure in August taking four Mokes from Mt Dare, down the Rig, up the K1 and into Poeppels, then North to exit at Jervois via the Hay River Track. All that on 120 litres capacity with fuel to spare at the end. Mokes rule 2WD 52/12 !
Graham mate, the G60 patrol all day every day. All I’ve ever known is Nissans and also the odd recovery (for my sisters Toyota when she had one) I also own a nice 1994 GQ which still purrs like a kitten. Love 4WD24/7 videos and the adventures you guys do! Keep on creating great memories for decades to come.
Makes me want to drag the old Series IIa LandRover out of the shed and show you how it isn't done. 😂 Greatest show and adventures as always, loving it!
great video. i'd go a G60 any day. grew up with Dad's G60 and it was a bullet (350chev) :-) and as Graham showed it pulled out its fair share of toyota's and land rovers in its time
Cool video, good to see some old trucks showing these newer trucks how it was done. And Graham, go to G60, learnt to drive in one, and they have a soft spot in the transfer case for me.
What an excellent series this was. You can see by the faces of everyone how much they were enjoying it. You Aussies really have created a channel second to none! The only thing you need is a Saffer to tell you that the meat always tastes better if it's a good few days past the use by date. 😂
that was an epic journey, loved loved loved it. We did SD a few years ago but we were on a bit of a time schedule and on our way to WA next year we are doing it again, this time on the go slow and time will not be our enemy. Great trip guys and go the G60

What an epic trip! we've a couple of nice places out here in Southern Africa resembling your route in parts but nearly not as vast. It truly is about simply getting out there and doing it! 🤙No matter what you drive, as long as you're in good company with good mates. 👌
8:05 unless your hoping out and putting the hubs in free, you're not stopping the shaft from spinning, only taking the load off. they will still fail, just not quite as quick.
Love the 47, i drive a 45 myself and im looking to fix it up. Seeing the old 47 it helps me want to fix it up even more and seeing the problems the 47 has it helps me understand my 45 a little more the old girl she is
From South Africa gents, loving the series. And farm truck all day. After that recovery on the dune, I reckon a full rebuild series of both trucks with upgrades for diesels and a rematch!
This trip is the best one ever on 4wd247. Well done everyone, and what an epic journey. Seano needs to put some other wheels on that 40 series so he can go tubeless, 33x10.5r15 maybe. The farm truck would have made light work of those dunes too!
Probably one of my favourite episodes, and I said it before it Always shows which one is a better car, Go Nissan!! 😊 You definitely have to consider taking Russell Coight on one of your next outback trips! I was looking at the flies and it reminded me of when I was halfway between Port Augusta and Whyalla when my alternator belt let go, the flies were incredible changing it out, but I didn't see the dead Roo 50mts over the hill but the old L series Subaru did a good job on a 2500k trip with my mate and fully loaded.
Great video, I am from eastern Canada and the terrain is so much different, that big dune ate up the Toyota's, made for some good fun with friends. As much as the 47 looks cool being period correct and all, it might be worth putting a set of sunraysias on for the sand given how they can't be let down to those ultra low pressures. That and I couldn't imagine changing tubes in that heat with how often they tend to get flats, it's a lot of work and dangerous. Could always go for skinny white sunnies to stay period correct too 😁
