I try to bring the goods no one else is bringing. We all know what gear to use. It’s on every TH-cam channel you watch. It’s the mental game, the variables, picking it all apart and dialing in the fish that is often missing.

Thanks for sharing Walt. Finally moving down there the end of this month and look forward to using some of the knowledge I have gained from you and Dan to start exploring some of the local areas. Hope to see you out on the water soon!

Hey Walt, this is great information! Fishing GA isn't about fishing spots, it's about fishing the tides. You can tell people all your spots, but that doesn't mean they are gonna catch anything. Every spot is tide specific.

The only thing I want to promote more than not fishing spots is conservation. Fish are all over the place. Knowing how to fish the conditions is what makes a consistent angler.

First off thank you very much for the informative video. A lot of time and wisdom packed in there. I think the "Marsh Hen" is awesome! It's really cool that you built that boat. I just recently finished my home on Black Island in Darien. I hope to run into you one day!

Sure would be nice to be your neighbor and learn all you know about fishing our great Georgia coast! I grew up only about an hours drive from the coast but never got there to fish and now in my retirement I'm fascinated by the tides and their impact upon fishing there! I love the fish caught there too for eating more than our fresh water varieties! Thank you for this very informative video! Your talents are amazing and that includes building your boat! Do you own a marina there?

I was running Pine Harbor Marina for a few years. I have a baby due any day so I’ve stepped back from that to pursue other endeavors and to have some time with the new little nugget. The beautiful thing about TH-cam and social media is I can have infinite neighbors and I don’t plan on holding back. If you have specific questions or just want to talk fishing you can find me on the Pine Harbor Marsh Rats Facebook page. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Great info on our tides but didn't hear you mention water clarity and how it is affected by tides. I would like to hear how to seek out clear water even on those full moon tides. Thanks for all you do.

@@terrylogan9127 personally…. I only worry about water clarity when I’m sight casting or flounder gigging. I feel like too much emphasis is put on water clarity. If the water is particularly dirty the closer to big water the cleaner it gets. Anywhere you have a bar you have clean water hitting it and dirty down stream of it. High incoming is going to be the cleanest stage of the tide. Outgoing is the stronger current and as it get close to low the bottom stirs up more as water tries to push around bars and the marsh drains making the water dirtier. Most of that settles as the tide stops and clean water gets pushed back in. This and water temp generally make the incoming tide the more productive tide to fish in summer. Rattles and blades help a lot when fishing artificial in dirty water.

Hey buddy this is good information. There's alot of things in here that you said that I have picked up on lately by myself that I needed conformation on, there's also many things you said that helped open my mind up to new ideas. Very much appreciated, this is some no-fluff real fishing knowledge here! ✊ Subscribed!
