    I hired a guide in Charleston and we did what you talk about in this video. I worked well and we saw A LOT of fish. Thanks for posting and give diagrams, too. I subscribed!!!

    Great video, Wyatt ! Excellent presentation of Redfish foraging pattern pattens. The additional detailed graphics clearly explained fish movements in relation to tidal flow, and of course, the well shot and edited video beautifully demonstrated the success of the well planned tactics

    outstanding video guys, you explained the tides perfect. I always like the out going tied because I am a lazy fisherman, I rather they come to me than chase them haha

    I live/fish SW Florida, and prefer incoming tide. If I get stuck in the shallows, I get help as the water rises. Outgoing tide makes it worse.

      You definitely want moving water either way!

    Great video!! That's crazy how much tide movement yall have compared to corpus christi tx. You can see the banks are still wet and tide dropped at least a foot. The current here is very slow and only moves a few inches most of the time close to the back lakes I fish, that are pretty far from the gulf. the closer to the gulf, the more movement of water here. Thanks for the video, I love fishing creek mouths and marsh!!

    Okay, what have you done with bearded Wyatt? Who is this guy? Are you his little brother? You sound the same, and the fishing info is still good...but this guy looks about ten years younger then the bearded Wyatt I am accustomed to ! :)

    If you see this please reply do redfish not go out into the ocean over winter I always thought that your red fish and your flounder run out into the ocean over winter then is the water temperature heats up they come back and shore if this is wrong or incorrect please educate me thanks your friend from NC

      Redfish do not "go out into the ocean" but they do spawn in open water nearshore. On the upper Texas coast, serious "bull red" fishermen fish the surf in October for large reds. I much prefer to chase them in the bays and marsh though!

    I was fishing a outgoing tide yesterday and had multiple strikes using a Zara spook but none of the fish were getting hooked. Any tips?

    • @Saltstrong
      @Saltstrong  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      While not every fish was caught using them, several of the redfish caught later in the video (while discussing outgoing tide strategies) were definitely caught on the Slam Shady (one of which is the thumbnail for this video)

    very nice video. my buddy told me to always fish for reds on an outgoing tide. now I see why. that water and surroundings looks almost like louisiana, especially cause the water looks kind of muddy. where about are you fishing and don't really need specifics...just curious....and again, thanks for a really nice video.....bob

    • @Saltstrong
      @Saltstrong  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching, Bob! Glad you found it helpful. Coach Wyatt typically fished in Texas, so it would on the Gulf Coast over that way.

    Can you guys test different braids and which is the best for surf fishing I just need tensile strength and castibility abrasion resistance doesn't matter for surf

  • @nicgreenisen1399
    @nicgreenisen1399 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You weren't using the Slam Shady for any of this footage. Good info, and thank you, but be honest.

    • @Saltstrong
      @Saltstrong  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Nic!
      While not every fish in the video was caught on the Salm Shady, during the footage from the outgoing tide (towards the end of the video) several of the large reds were definitely caught on the original Z-Man Slam Shady paddletail (in fact, the Slam Shady is the lure in the thumbnail of this video).

    Why not just fish the mouth of the creek ? Fish have to pass by going in and out.
