Head's up: If you've got small hands, skip to 2:17, then go watch it from the beginning.
Use less-than a full deck (I consider my hands smaller than average, and I started learning it with ~15 cards). As it gets more and more comfortable, add cards.

even if i use just two cards, i still can’t reach over. i don’t think this is a situation where you can say to just practice and you’ll get it. i am physically unable to do this. is there an actual way to do this or is it just impossible for some people?

@Kingerino - do you not have space for cards to fall in your palm either?
like when i lift my thumb the cards cant fall flat im wondering if there is a work around or just unlucky genetics

I can’t do it because if i can reach it with my thumb i cant reach over with my other finger since the cards are lying on top of them

When I first started I thought there was no way I could do it, I couldn't get my thumb over with my middle but I just kept trying and my dexterity improved and now I can do it.

Please keep going even if there are just a handfull of fans. imagine you brought just 1 to cardistry an become a pro. this is worth it :) thank you

the width of the cards is the same size as my palm, so after reviewing the tips I was able to get my thumb over the packet, but I couldn't get my middle finger over a half of it without using my other hand to reposition the cards in my palm. yikes. Guess Ill spend some extra time with this one lol

yeah no. some hands are simply too small. ive modified every one hand cut because of my hand size but this one simply is not possible for the select few with overly small hands. tried the tips, tried the comments advice as well. shame. decent video tho

I have a solution foe that. Instead of trying to reach across your hand, tilt your hand so that the deck (or partial deck) leans against your thumb. Then break off half the deck/partial deck with your thumb and tilt your hand down, making the half that you did noit grip fall.

If you have small hands you can go lower in the palm with the deck to get your thumb further to the edge of the deck

My thumb is a full cm too short to even reach the edge of the inner border!!!! There's no way. NO WAY. Even using just 15 cards doesnt help because [read 1st sentence again.]
