I really REALLY hope they don't stick to the "Battle Pass Character, Rift Character + 2 Fighter Currency Fighters" cuz what I liked about MultiVersus is that when they put out a character you could just get them with Gold and you didn't need to grind for them. Like you got several characters for free by just playing the game.
Did you pay for agent Smith or Jason?? Lol you just asked them to make characters for free by just playing and that's exactly what they did yet you don't want them to be on battle passes? Sure there are missions but you can beat the battlepass just by playing
I doubt they’d do that, Banana guard was a unique case in season 1. I think for this season it’ll just be Samurai Jack in the battle pass and Beetlejuice in the rifts
there will certainly be 2 characters per season now, that's not bad

I'm still wondering where the heck the PowerPuff Girls are. They've been teased in the Joker Gameplay trailer, have a stage in the game AND leaked voice lines!

Most likely still trying to work out the whole, three characters in one thing. Considering all them individually have voicelines as if they're characters to be played as.

I didn’t expect them to go with a more realistic design for beetle juice I thought gone for more of a cartoony design like they did for Jason
The way I see it, all live action characters adopts to the artstyle of dc animated series, Jason is supposed to be big and imposing so it translates to Bane type of body making him look more exaggerated than live action.

I bet the 3rd character for this season will be revealed Monday, hopefully we get a new cinematic trailer like the launch trailer

I think SJ is the 6k character currency character and another character is the BP character. Who that character will be is anyone’s guess but my best bet is the Power Puff Girls. There will also be a free or challenge locked character besides Beetlejuice imo

I do hope they do get rid of those "play as a character type with this specific skin" missions, and maybe nix the idea of Rift nodes requiring certain skins to use them.

The 17th of September is the last day of season 2 so I’m guessing since agent smith was released 2 weeks before the end of season 1 Beetlejuice will release sometime in the first week of September

I want currency rework honestly. I want them to add gold back (they most likely not) but still Gold and Gleamium should be the only currency (and prestige currency too) Perk currency to me is so useless. They was better off letting us unlock the perks through character progression honestly.
But I’m still overall hyped for the reworks and Jack and especially Ranked
I wouldn't mind the currency or even the difficulty of unlocking chars if everything else wasn't designed to be so miserable with the daily chores/annoying or pay2do challenges/gem grind🤮just let me log in and play how I want to.

Honestly, I am so hyped for Jack! He was one of my most requested characters. I do think it's an odd choice to make him use only his sword since he's a master of all kinds of weapons, but he looks fun! Excited for the stream Monday to see what else they have planned for the season. Hoping for a rework for some of the systems and QoL updates. Excited to see the BP for this season!

Honestly I wouldn't mind the star requirement to bring a friend as long as they allowed us to do local play. I guess some people could cheat with it but trying to organize online friends is difficult and being able to do couch play rifts would be cool

I hope jack isn't paywalled like jason, if he is, the ranked skins will be a pretty funny reward. I also hope they make the rift character easier (read "less random and frustrating") because if not, i'm not going to bother.

I’m guessing we’re getting reveal for Marcy on Monday, with Jack being in the Pass, BeetleJuice from Rifts, Marcy from the shop and another fourth character directly between Tuesday and BeetleJuice’s release
jack or beetlejuice will be the character you can flat out buy on release. joker was a buy on release character no battle pass no rifts. just 6k fighter points. which means we'll get that same option this season. hopefully its jack. if not it will be the random unannounced character they have yet to reveal. its obvious beetlejuice is unfortunately locked behind rifts

They might be added some time in the future, but the balloon is just a reference to the WB Water Tower stage. There are balloons for the Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain that appear on the stage as platforms.

Agent smith is a matrix skin bruiser. He doesnt need to wear his matrix skin either. Also you can do all skin challenges in the rifts. Especially shark week challenges u can choose any class as a guest in rift.
Not true, some fights didn’t have guest characters available. So even though I had the shark week skin, I couldn’t meet the requirement because I didn’t have the character.

You can buy the character, you just have to wait another couple of weeks. Rifts get them early. You'll be able to buy Agent Smith on Tuesday I believe

@@ugmo0722 Eh. It's a reward for doing the rift mode. Early access to a character, handful of free skins. You don't really get much else from rifts other than the stuff from the rift event, so it's reasonable to give you something IMO. You don't want your single player mode to seem pointless and not give anything for putting time into it. Especially considering how much of a grind the mode is, without that reward I imagine many people might do the easy rifts to see the story and then not touch anything else.
I'm glad they didn't use the cartoon Beetlejuice design. The new model looks cooler. Also Rift mode sux, mine as well not even of added the character if it's earned through that unless they redesign it to be proper solo content that's actually enjoyable but they wont cuz overmonetization and overdosing your games with dailies is the plan for everything nowadays.
