Have you ridden the Corsa Pro Speed? If so, is it just a race tire? How long did they last?
@@marshallalexander4329 absolute race tire. The fastest for real but logically VERY fragile. Like a pure TT / Track tire. I don’t think you can ride more than 1,500-2,000km MAX
@@SamuelBlackMetalRider aha okay. I've heard about those. One race and the tire is done. Don't expect anything more. Hopefully advancements in Materials Science will yield a super light weight tire that is extremely durable. Like spider silk, etc.
@@marshallalexander4329 should last more than 1 race come on 😹
@@SamuelBlackMetalRider I would hope so ; )
Do you have any carbon ti brake disk rotors in stock
yes I do, I only have 140s in stock I have 4 of them brand new, if interested email me at gcperformanceyt@gmail.com
@@GCPerformance18 email sent
Lowering the stem and cutting of the excess might chop off some grams, if they aren't comfortable though it might be a no go.
Very nice to see someone weigh their bike with everything on it. That's everyday ridable for riders that don't weigh 120 lbs! Nice
yep this was the whole point of the build, yea I rode it around at 200 lbs feels flawless
@@GCPerformance18 I couldn't afford it but very nice build!👌
Hope the customer has better luck than DCrainmaker with the look powermeter! Imho you either use quarq or you are doing it wrong in regards to PM! Otherwise stunning lightweight build!
we will have too look and see what happens
Really? I have a Power2Max and it’s unbelievably good. Have Garmin Rally too - but P2M is way better. Flawless. Quark was not great imo.
Dc advised favero pm’s.
@@GCPerformance18 I see what you did :-)
Stock headset bearings? Cane Creek headset might save 30 grams if one fits? I imagine you already have Ti water bottle cages bolts? 6 gram saving there. Love weight weenie stuff 🙂
yea they are stock, you think ceramic headset bearings would save that much? I might have him look into it, I have it in my bike
@@GCPerformance18 maybe less.
Yoooo GC! Where can I get those S-works chainring bolts for 2x?! I need spares and they’re impossible to find!
You can order them on spesh website I believe
I had some in stock in a bin but check out on specialized or your local dealer
Note: white paint is heavier than most/all other paint.
yea which is the craziest part of this, white always comes in a little heavier
White paint/Black paint --->> Even bicycles, they always pull out the RACE cards . . .🤣😂😅
Appreciate it’ll depend on the frame but how much weight difference is there between different sizes of otherwise identical frames.
yea iI know
Bloody awesome dream build. ❤Titanium bolts and lightening the cage on the rear derailer is probably the only thing I can think of right now. Is it a stock dura-ace cassette? Wondering if a monoblock would be lighter?
Also can the metal ring components within the dura ace shifters be replaced with carbon?
Can you share the link to the crankset and crankarms?
Oh yeah! That’s special.
Maaaaan! I like it the way it is, but to each their own. 👍🏾Right On✊🏽
So my assessment is, the customer is 14kg, and over 45years old. Has average fitness, but an awesome job which means he can afford life's light bike luxuries😁 👍
customer works hard and loves the sport, he rides during the week and also weekends for fitness and for fun
just a side trivia fact. According to my merlin bird app that is a northern mockingbird singing in the background. 😀
Hahaha what the hell
Theres some 52. Cm rim break older bikes you can get around 14lbs and get them under the 14lb mark , and without having to ask for a second mortgage on your house to purchase, if you want to buy it fine
to get into the 13s you have to payyyy
this bar tape is impossible to find, was Burgh sued by LV and stopped making this bar tape?
I dont know if they were sued but it was stop sale so maybe a cease and desist involved, because like you said its impossible I hjave one customer who found it but it was 70 dollars at one store
Amazing build 🤩
How much does this whole setup cost?
comes in around 19,000 retail
@@GCPerformance18 thank you so much for your time, honesty and sharing this information
There's an after market European company that specializes in super light weight builds. They mentioned once a bike reaches a certain weight the handling changes for the worse. Thus, super light weight is nice but it's not always the best solution.
yea this can make sense, but customer only rides this in florida for now but i have heard if it is super light it can cause the handling to feel less stable
@@GCPerformance18 climbing on a light bike and/or a light wheelset really takes the cake. It's an experience you'll never forget.
Any trial Berk saddles available in your shop or elsewhere in the US or Canada?
no I am sorry but the shape and opening are really nice
Put a Sram XX1 crankset with a 44t front chainring and a 10-33 cassette.
No
lmfao what the hell
@@GCPerformance18 exactly hahahaha
@@GCPerformance18 I have seen this combo: Sram Eagle non boost crankset with a direct mount chainring from Wolftooth or AbsoluteBlack. It does fit and it saves about 300 grams.
but why dont use galfer rottors? they are cheaper and lighter
customer has had these for a while, it might be in the options but the look of these look way nicer the customer always wants the sexy look too
If pogachar was riding a huffy I would go buy one
hahahah
These bikes are very nice, and do have value, but it is so funny to me that people are doing weight weenie builds in Florida, the flattest place in the world!
also most reaches people live there they dont know what to do with the money ...
who cares, thats like me saying it is dumb for anyone to have an aero bike with any elevation anywhere
@@GCPerformance18 fair play to them, they have built it because it is a lovely machine, not because it is the optimal bike for where they ride. That is why I said it is a bit ironic doing a weight weenie build in Florida. And anyway, if they have this much money, they almost certainly go on cycling holidays to some mountains somewhere
Bro I want to know what a 61 cm would weigh
If I get a customer who is a 61 who wants to do this I Will make it happen
Imagine that killa with rim brakes!
imagine if it was a different bike, different spec, and different? imagine
you're missing the bleed caps on the calipers. That must be 1 g missing :)
f1 pit stop for quick bleeds
Yasssss super Nice ❤
hell yea
How are the carbon ti rings I’ve heard they shift like crap. Is this true? I really wanted carbon ti rings with SRM composite cranks
no they work really good for aftermarket chainrings, and this is me working with praxis, rotor, and other chainrings in the past, these work amazing, tadej uses them in the tour, carbon ti makes some really nice working products under performance review
How are those Elilee cranks?
customer has not ridden them yet but I was blown away at the 1 piece non driveside crank connecting to the spindle I have neevr seen that before, a lot of QC went into it
What is the chainset called?
I think ybn
Change the handlebar to EXS and cassette to neutron cassette and boom, sub6kg
yea we are looking at darimo for the bar i tshould be here anyday now
@@GCPerformance18 please do an update after installing the Darimo Drag bar for the flex on the drop. 😅
If anyone is seeking for lightweight cages that are not drying your wallet - Tune Wasserträger 2.0 Carbon Bottle Cage. They come in 9g per cage with 50 Euros price tag.
very nice option
Beautiful bike! Expensive but if money is not an issue then f yeah :)
customer loves it and is happy with no regrets
Be careful in crosswinds might snap the frame in half flimsy crap. The only good thing is there’s no stupid 1x on it
lmfaooo
Corsa next is lighter I have 30mm
Wheel set weight should be with the brake on it if you compare that to a rim brake wheel. I think that’s pretty damn important because the wheels don’t work without the break and the mass rotates on the wheel not the frame
no because there are os many options for rotors and also calipers,
darimo post, but no darimo cockpit D:
it is on order, I mentioned this in the video
fabulous job. tremendous build - albeit throwing a tonne of money at it.
:))
GELU K3 saddle 43g.
holky shit but is it comfortable
Fck yeah, been dreaming bout a white frame still haven't had one yet. Just white frame, all black components and tanwall tires. Absolute fcking dream. I also wanna have a black out stealth road bike, one day I'll achieve my dreams(16 btw, when i get rich I'll buy them...one day...for now I'll stress myself out in education lol).
(Yes ik im 16, yes i use swear words, but just excuse the profanity, bad habits lol)
White is nice (and trendy right now). I had a white Trek Madone (Gen 6) set up like this. But, a white bike gets dirty super quick. If you ride 3 to 5 times a week then plan on washing it every other week.
Still heavy… mine sits at 5.39kg 😅
for an sl8?
*rim brake 1x 21mm tubular tires and wheels
My fish measured 2 meters.
@@GCPerformance18 yeah. 52 RTP
Them cranks ain't worth the risk. I have the titanium and aluminum version of elilee cranks. Aluminum version is 310g that's light enough.
Dude, the price difference is minimal tbh. And if you factor in that it will likely be something that you can transfer to your next bike, it makes little sense to save a few pennies now for a advantage to be had in the very long term.
That said, is there a titanium version of the Eilee crank? I know they have a titanium spindle, but not crank.
@@87togabito carbon version is 1200, the aluminum spindle one was 330. I believe the titanium spindle version was 375. Besides I have quite a few bikes.
@@kimwarner6050where is the best place to buy Elilee cranks?
why are they bad? thm has carbon spindle too, they are working fine with it
@@GCPerformance18 I'm not saying they're bad. But to me it's to much risk. Like I said I have 2 of their cranksets, but I'm not willing to mess up my face or a vegetable for 40g weight saving. I never forget that my bikes are just toys
this industry is sick. unless you have 5% BF and around 400 w threshold it doesn't matter. I wonder when weight wenies will start breaking necks because of ultra light components.
I just replaced my ultegra on my sl8 with 105 di2. I also took the light wheels and put it on another bike. It's still under 6.8. I must say specialized has really made the SL8 the king of weight wennie bikes
Size 52, lol. 56 is 7kg for sure. Too heavy. :D
lmaoooo no way, my 56 1x is 6.4kg
"everything reminds me of her" 🤣💀
lmao
You can shave some weight with some super lightweigt casette
yea he started looking after this video because people were advising it, but the customer loves the stock shifting of the bike
In my opinion the tan sidewalls absolutely kill the look of this bike. Not in a positive way. I don't get why someone wants a creamy yellowish color on a black and white bike.
tpu's all the way! lol
The transition from spider to chainrings looks pretty clunky, A different spider might smooth it out…
yea for these bikes thats how they look like that
total price?
I didnt a rough estimate I would say retail price on every was around 19,000 usd
1x mechanical + rimbrakes on carbon everything = #1
1x I agree
1x is absolute crap
@@Tarmaccyclocrossdepends on your needs
But rim brakes? no thanks 👍🏻
If they are only couple grams lighter than just get Galfer lol😂

Mint. Get fcked to all those that complain about price etc. This is the cost of progress and if you dont like it then stick to your aluminium, rim brake, 105 mechanical bike. I have both a cheapie and a modern bike, both serve different purposes
the customer is thrilled by this build and has zero regret with how it came out and i so jealous of it, it takes time to get there and the research for the products, it is a fun journey and even better when you see it play out
