    Merry Christmas to you.
Thank you for your reviews. They are the most informative and useful if I don't want to be hyped up into considering something.
Definitely not considering this laser engraver. But I just love the sound of the motors as they move. Thank you for showing that.

P2S seems like it's the perfect platform to expand to a plasma-cutter head. Imagine how cool that would be to have as an option.

As you noted, the air assist does not have fine enough control and this is really needed to get good engraving results. One of the reason to get a lot of soot on your work piece from engraving is too much air assist which blows the soot back down onto the work. Engraving should have the minimum air assist, just enough to keep the lens clear, this lets the air exhaust carry the soot up and away as soon as possible.
Can you change lenses? Is the software aware of that? How easy is it to clean and align lenses and mirrors as well as do other maintenance. Lasers require a fair amount of maintenance to run well and the ability to do that easily is critical.
The lockout worries me. When you have a fire, and sooner or later you will have one, your ability to quickly deal with it seems like it seems like a big problem. I'd rather see some kill switches instead of a lockout.
This is one of my issues with machines that don'e have an advanced mode which allows the operator more control. Something like this is great for casual users (and has some very cool smart features) but it seems that as you get more knowledgeable you might get frustrated.

So how long do you get to keep the machines when they send them for review? Always been curious about that.
    Another banger review, thanks again!

I noticed you selected 3mm basswood. I don't believe your material is basswood. I think your plywood is probably pine. Basswood is very tightly grained as opposed to pine being a wider more chaotic grain. I'm not sure if engraving would produce different results for these materials, just something I noticed. Merry Christmas!!

Yes, they have the same settings. In the material library, it’s listed as “3mm basswood plywood”.

I don't want to be mean, but the Quality of the videos haven't improved. too much Noise/Grain seems like the ISO setting is too high, or the amount of lights are not enough. And, there is not enough space to record all the angles of a big object.
Thank you for the content you put on your channel. wish you and your brother the best🌹🌹

Yes, since the machine needs to be fully enclosed and the cover is not transparent, it's more of a light grey, it makes the inside of the machine quite dark. In a few shots, we tried placing a phone inside the machine, which helped a little, but there still wasn’t enough light.

I'd say that the price and internal coolan reservoir are cons. Everything else is good.
Ah, I almost forgot: the lack of a Linux version of the software is a BIG con

      Come on.
      1 inch = ~2,5 cm
      1 foot = ~33 cm
Very easy to convert imperial measures to metric with mental calculations.
By the way, I'm european and never got diificulties with conversions ;-)

      @@mpa568 Today's expensive machines are tomorrow's affordable one's.

Sure, but lately i was hoping to see reviews of more budget friendly machines again. Reason: Currently i have the comgrow Z1 as per recommendation. Super nice machine! But really slow cutting performance as mentioned in her Video. A step up would be nice, but a budget friendly option - maybe in a pack with housing. There is a few new options out there. With more expensive machines i assume you cant do much wrong. But with lower priced machines you can get fails much more likeky.

Why do I have to listen to French now? Is there a way to switch it back to English? The AI voice is terrible.

    • @AuroraTech
      @AuroraTech  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

Simply go to the video settings where you select the video quality (e.g., 720p, 1080p). You'll notice a new option called 'Audio Track.' By default, it’s set to my original voice (English), but you can select other languages generated by TH-cam.
