Awesome video! Was pumped to see my coin pop up, looks so freaking good! You are the best!!
Eyyy thanks! Coming your way soon.
@Tornadotuesdays Bet you vote for the small red hat people.
Personally it looked better before the brass black great video
All of these depth map solutions I find discussed on TH-cam are online, and I really wish there was a good solution one could run on local hardware. I suppose everyone wants to commercialize the process but since so many local AI tools exist I would have thought at least one versatile depth map solution could be run on one's own system.
AI models run on GPUs and have high hardware requirements. For me as an engineer it would be a pain to run these models reliably on my own machine and is not worth the trouble compared to running them on GPU servers in the cloud. That is the reason why not only the effort to create this kind of software costs money, but actually processing your image as well.
@ Yeah, I have the hardware and I want to use it however.
@ I guess to elaborate on my response, I already have a ComfyUI AI image generation workflow running on a Threadripper Pro system with two RTX3090 GPUs. The ComfyUI workflow is elaborate but it would be perfect if I could get that level of depth map processing tied into it. I just haven’t found a solution to do that.
I would be very interested to know how often you have driven a cleaning path. And above all, how did you get to 320 runs? I think Lightburn can only do 256 due to the color depth of the image. Your video is very inspiring, but unfortunately a few small details are missing. So it's difficult to copy. 😞
Justin, Gr8 Video and review!! If you could try the engraving in Lightburn without the Depth Map conversion. My theory is that you will receive the same results as the SculptOK in Lightburn 3D Slice without converting the image to the Depth AI.
I have tried it it doesnt work well. You can see the difference in the souce image vs the depth map it looks similar but the shading is in different areas.
Another TH-cam gem. Great video full of useful information. ❤
Great video, Can you give setting info on your clean up passes? specifically at the end @9:45 Thanks!
I did something like 3000/20%/145 freq. Same line interval and cross-hatch twice. I tend to go lighter than most other since I do a lot of cleaning afterwards.
@@justinlaser Do you happen to know if it's possible to do the cleanup pass in xtool creative space or is this a lightburn only thing ?
Thanks for the video, I have used this programme before and as you say the results are fabulous. I did notice you had your passes set to 320, just wandering what difference this make as there are on 256 gray scales in the depth map? Cheers
Looks good. Do you mind if I ask how much you charged for it? How long it took? How much is the coin? Thank you
I charged around $70 since the artwork was clean and I knew I would make video content with it as well. If I ran it without filming, etc wouldve been around 1hr 30mins to complete everything. Takes a while to run. but I can do other tasks during that time.
the added depth was very nice - was a bit surprised by the laser picking up the edited area on the lower part of the helmet - curious of localized guassian pass or two would smooth that out
Super cool! Respect for Justin
That looks amazing. Would you mind posting the settings you used on both sides of the coin and what wash solution you used in your tumbler?
Fantastic. However, I don't understand where the removed material goes, no dust or fumes are visible.
It's amazing😮 Which laser machine do you use?
It works great ! Do you have an estimation for the time it took to engrave the coin ?
Thanks! Took about an hour and a half for 320 layers.
@@justinlasergreat ! I was waiting for AI to get to this point to make me buy a 60w 😅
I've tested SculptOk with so many photos of people and the results are amazing,it opens up so many possibilities for deep engraving .
I really appreciate the info, you are doing a great job !
@justinlaser are people typically getting sticker shock from having to pay 1.5 hrs of time for a coin like this? (I'm unaware what people are willing to pay for items like this)
A great episode. Thank you! Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
The Z version is the only one that kept the bump over the ear area. Also, the dark circle you said was an AI artifact was in the original image. Overall, a great and useful comparison. Thanks.
Been using this for a while, much better than the other ways to do it
Can you buy credits or do you need to maintain a monthly/yearly subscription?
Have a great New Year, Justin!
Great find. How much did you charge the customer?
Do you think that you could do hobo coins in the future?
Around $70 since the artwork was clean and I knew I would end up using it to make a video as well. I would love to do hobo coins. Generating from AI image would be easy but modifying existing coins the way theyre traditional done Id have to play with.
@@justinlaser - Do you think it would be possible to replicate the work of Roman Boteen?
th-cam.com/video/8RhEv7wNzqg/w-d-xo.html
I hear that he charges a lot more than 70 bucks!
Brilliant video and i will be giving the SculptOK a go later on. Happy new year and keep up the great content. 🍻
Thanks! Happy 2025!
Very good comparison. Will be trying out SkulptOK
"...this little hole here... probably an AI artifact..."
Definitely never played football. ☺
Thanks for introducing me to SculptOK. Going to be a lot less clean up on my part. At least until the next improvement. 👍
You have any videos on aspire?
Amazing as always! How long do you leave it in the polishing machine, just add water and the medium? Happy New Year!!!
You do such Awesome Craftmanship! I have the xTool F! Ultra and want to try some coins and learning a lot from you.
Appreciate it! F1 Ultra can do this as well just takes a little bit longer run time.
@@justinlaser being The F1 a 20w fiber, vs your 60w laser, could one assume that The time to engrave would be 3x? 3 times The 1.5h It took yo you, that is, 4.5h with a F1 ultra? Seems too much time for a single Coin, right? so i Guess It would be better to get a more powerfull fiber laser if one goes to engrave a lot of coins like this 🤔. Thanks for your superb video!
Great video Justin , I will checkout Sculpt ok. Thank you and Happy New Year my friend. Shared on my Socials.
Happy New Year my friend hope all is well!
Great work happy new year man how long did it take?
Do you have to have a *monthly* subscription to SculptOK, or can you just pay for credits?
I think you can just buy credits Ill have to double check
Very nice work, think we've conversed before in the FB groups, very curious about your magnetic tumbler, i have the rolling style but not looked into the magnet ones yet. I like the results on the coin, wonder how well it does with an image that is not as well made to begin with. time to experiment hehe
Have you done a video (and I somehow missed it) taking a basic grayscale image and running it through to getting an image like your stating one? I have epically failed at blender 🤣.
Thanks for the intro to SculptOK. I have been disappointed in depthR, and end up doing a lot of post processing.
Wishing you the best for 2025!
I did cover that a little bit in my first AI coin video. However its basically just what kind of words to use when using an AI prompt. I dont know how to make them from scratch either haha. Im going to dive into Vectric Aspire this year it seems to be the "easiest" one to get the type of results we want. Happy 2025!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the hard work. I appreciate that
Great video. Love the detail!
Appreciatei t!
Happy New Year! 🎆🎉
Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the settings!
Happy New year, thank for the info
Looked nicer without the brass black finish.
what type and what make is this laser?
60w MOPA from OMG Laser.
Great work! Is this a fiber laser?
Yes indeed! 60w OMG fiber.
@ thanks!
Très intéressant.
Merci d'avoir activé la traduction audio.
Hi! What laser machine are you using? Thanks
What machine did you do this on?
60w OMG fiber laser
I have that same Tumeber 🙂
First! I've been so intimidated about doing depth maps and I have a 100 watt Mopa just sitting collecting dust
100w? You have a coin monster on your hands you need to turn that thing on haha.
@justinlaser I seriously need your course.. I bought this thing and I've got nothing with it.
@JoeF - Grab your laser safety glasses and go mark something! Just play with it, don’t do anything you only have one of, but there is just so much fun to be had. (Also grab a decent dust extractor or grab fan and wear a mask, you, your family, friends and pets don’t want to to breath the residue)
I've heard numerous times that letting your laser sit is one of the worst things you can do to it within reason. I just bought myself a 50w fiber and the more I mess with it the more I learn. I have faith in you!
@keeganoconnell2686 thank you! Yea I don't want to wait forever and it be old tech
It seems like you don't want to provide a service for making coins though. I could not find any details. Could you expand on this in your newsletter or website? If not, can you review others services using the prep skills you've help your audience develop?
This tool is pretty good but it has some problems with for example anime faces, the ai model just adds a random nose :D
Haha I havent seen that! Thought it would be good enough by now not to add extra noses and fingers.
Recent improvements for sculpting using Blender has made all of it much easier. If someone is willing to invest 20 hrs and watch the tutorial videos , they will find this a huge step in successful artwork.
You got a link to the training videos?
@@beansandwiched There are thousands on youtube , starting and then move to sculpting . Find an instructor/channel you like. Best to watch those less than a year old because of all the improvements.
Great video man, way to end the year! now on to 2025
2025 and onward. Happy new year!
Poderia publicar o video em Português por IA
Man it took too long to get to it
Subscription models are always a red flag...
Hello my friend, we are not currently in a full subscription model. You can freely choose to purchase a one-month plan or just purchase credits.
probably should do your homework and make sure the product they are charging for is legal
I was interested, but lost it. Both tools are paid subs. So you're tutorial-ing, evaluating and basically promoting as advertising. Good for you, but it's wasting my time.
this product using all kinds of open source and copyright algo's and does not disclose or have a license , no actual company info. this is very bad and should not be endorsed

take some life art drawing classes because that football helm is broke as hell... that face mask is misshaped prospective is way off... if i was presented with that coin i would throw it in the trash as soon as i got it... stop relying on programs you can draw the height map if you know what you are doing... and they can be made in seconds...
