Your comment about only doing ones that sell or getting organic traffic is SOOOOO true. I’ve been putting a lot of Halloween stuff up and keeping it in ads for like 2 months with not a lot of views or clicks. I went through and purged my ads for only things are getting sales or good organic traffic and within 30 minutes my ads are getting better. I’m not running a huge budget by any means, but thank you for your knowledge. Ads won’t make a listing great, the designs will! I need to remember that one.

Cassiy, as far as POD goes, I consider you my mentor. I was thinking of going this route before I found your channel, but didn't really gather enough courage. But with all the detailed insider info you're generously sharing with us, I finally took the plunge. I really love your videos, not only for the information on POD, but also because of your approach to business (mindset), your kind and tranquil energy and your pep talks. :-) You really are a wonderful mentor. I have one question that I hope you would know the answer to. I have had an Etsy account since 2010 and I tried selling before, with little success, I had one sale in 2013 and one five-star review for something not even closely connected to POD. I have revived this account with POD a week ago and I have about 30 listings - I've been listing every day and I intend to continue in this way. What I'm wondering now is, could my shop's inactivity for the past decade play against me? Could I be ranked low on Etsy, because of that? Would it be better for my ranking to start a brand new shop? I didn't think of this before, but I guess if past inactivity is an issue, it's better to do this now with only 30 listings, than later with 200 or more. Any thoughts on this? I thought of asking Etsy support, but my experience with them was that they are very kind and they do their best to help however, they don't really find solutions to problems that are not textbook issues (at least that was the case for me).

Hi Corinna! Congrats on getting your first few orders!!! Yes, 38.99 is the price I sell sweatshirts for since it costs 21.91 to make them, plus any Etsy/ad fees. I know it can feel weird to charge more, but I think most of your customers won't be bothered by a 4 dollar difference. I am wishing you all the best!
Hello @Cassiy Johnson ... I have a question about ads. When you click on detailed stats on one of your ads you can click on search terms that lead to ad. The longer the ad is up the more revelent keywords show up. Many of them are not revelent so I turn the slider off. Then I go to the top right related tags and you get about 20+ keywords that aren't even close!!! I saw one influencer about this on TH-cam and they said to remove them because your ad is being shown to those keywords that aren't even close! They even suggest Disney and other copyright that I completely avoid! Is this legal??? Is there someway I can opt out? It takes me hours and hours going through to remove them! Then a few days later you see them pop up again? This is ridiculous and end up turning them off. Can you please help? Thank you Susan

Cassiy, I went back through my ad stats; and I'm getting hardly any orders on the items I'm advertising. Every item I'm advertising is already a great seller and in many cases on page 1 of search results. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong unless, like I mentioned here before, someone (competitor? bot?) is spending their time clicking my ads over and over to drain my budget and not allowing real customers to ever see my ads.

I was getting 8-12 sales daily then Etsy suggested I increase my ads budget. I ignored it for a while then I eventually increased it...and my sales dipped almost immediately. Now I get 1 or 2 sales a day. Don't know of its the budget or something else. Still trying to figure it out. Frustrating
Etsy wants you to make money, that's how they make money. So it could be that Halloween sales are coming to an end and you don't have enough for sale right now that is currently trending. Just keep designing for what is currently selling and the sales will come back!

No I also said if you are getting 2-3 sales per week from a listing that it would be a good time to start advertising for it to get even more! This can help get it to that 20-30/month range a lot faster! But yes the whole point I am trying to get across is that advertising products that aren't proven to be a good seller yet, CAN be a waste of money.
FYI: If anyone uses Shutterstock for their prints, the edit tool tabs are disabled. I've reached out to Printify and was told they are redoing the edit tool tabs for Shutterstock and they do not have a time frame for when it will be available again. Unfortunately, Shutterstock was my go-to for designs and it was easy to edit. 😞 It's like starting all over again and I haven't even sold one item yet. 😓

Could you ad a line for total total costs, for a true ROI, as to other costs, ie; business tax line, free delivery, etc. If I pay 30% government taxes, that would wipe out any ROI? Let alone free delivery I would lose on each shirt? I know we can charge for the delivery extra but to include it the shirt would be at least $5.00 more which is not competitive. Maybe you addressed this in another video? Thank you for the excellent videos.

Hello. I have a question, how do we add your promo code for printify premium? Also, your link to the Etsy shop free 40 listings is not working for me. I tried to click on 2 different video links, but when it takes me to Etsy "open your shop" when I click on the tab it doesn't go any further. Am I doing something wrong?
You can't have ever opened a shop with that email or used Printify Premium before for these to work. Not sure what might be wrong with the Etsy link, I tried it and it seems to be working fine on my end. For Printify though, go in Printify, click the green circle in the top right, click payments, then scroll to the bottom of this page where it says "coupons". Hope this helps!

I was wondering, when we have a product that already has a high competition and we want to insert keywords that are relevant to our product, is it okay if we use keywords that arent high search/low competition? Because sometimes seems impossible to find those keywords and that they remain relevant for your product. Thanks ❤️

Hi. I had someone order 3 cups. The customer said 1 of the 3 items arrived. Printify stated the items were all delivered per the local post office. How do you handle things like this? They suggested she contact them to see if the items are being held there. I did suggest that. How would you handle this? Please help.
Have her check with the post office and tell her that if the extra cup is not there within 7 days, then you will send a replacement. Let her know it may have been delivered to a neighbor and may show up. Then after the 7 days let printing know that she checked with the post office and waited 7 days but its still not to be found so can they please send a replacement! Also the tracking info should tell you how heavy the package was sometimes, then you may be able to tell if it was 2 or 3 if you can figure out how much they weigh! Best of luck!
I'm selling but a lot of the people who have bought items are doing it in guest mode... they do not have and Etsy page,,, Etsy doesn't allow reviews from guests... this should really change this.
I customer requested a proof and I did that.. she ordered a custom crew with express shipping and I sent her proofs of the product. She asked again but what exactly am I supposed to show her?
In the EU and various other countries there is 1 more fee on Etsy and that is the VAT tax. The amount varies from place to place but where I live it is 23%. That VAT is placed on all fees -- that means you are charged 23% tax on your Etsy ads, 23% tax on the processing fees, and 23% on the listing fees, AND 23% on the transaction fee. I didnt know this so my first month on wtsy i ran $200 in ads and ended up with a $66 charge on that plus the other Etsy fees. 🥴 Definitely didnt end up being profitable for me even though i made over $200 in sales.

To answer your question, your account may have been wrongly flagged as spam. Email Etsy and they should get your account back to you right away! I would continue to run ads to continue to get more sales.

No you do not need to name your photos, they will automatically be named your title if you don't which is perfect.

Right now Monster digital is charging more. All of the print providers are charging an extra shipping surcharge right now.
