    Tip to share, You can simply uncheck the mockups box under "Product details to sync with your Etsy store" and the ugly default mockups will not transfer to Etsy. Small time-saver I learned from trial and error. Also, if you just want to make a change in printify - say, a price change - but you don't want to lose your Etsy listing photos, unchecking that box will make sure they remain untouched. -- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching all of Cassiy's videos. They are absolutely priceless. I struggle with ADHD but have zero issues following her tutorials. Her delivery and tone are an absolute balm to my easily-overwhelmed brain. So grateful to have found this channel.

    I want to thank you Cassiy. I'm a Nonna (Italian for Grandma) on disability with a tight budget. Because of you I am going to start a print on demand business. This gives me hope. Thank you so much for all the instructional videos - I still have so many questions and so much more to learn! But I feel like I can do this because of you. God Bless you honey!

      While I'm not disabled, my husband is. I've been doing a physically demanding job working in a warehouse for 20 years and am falling apart now. 39 and recovering from hernia surgery now that was in my groin. I physically can't do this anymore and will be demoting myself later which means a deduction in my pay. So learning this now will help for later in life.
      Then people say it's a saturated market and that AI is taking over. Thing is, I can go into fine detail of what the client wants as I can draw and they would be charged the same price. Not too mention I have 20 years working in customer service. So this young adult over here trying to get rich on AI is still losing their customers because they don't know how to properly service their customers or know all the ins-and-outs with taxes. Also, I draw anyway, might as well make a buck or two off of it. Even if I only make $10 a month, that's $10 a month that can fit to dog food.

    Good point at the end with decision paralysis. Research does show that having less options makes it easier for customers to commit to a choice. And as for duplicate Etsy listings, what I've learned is that you can duplicate listings as long as you change the listing picture, and at least one word in the listing title. I'm not sure changing anything in the description is that important. That's what some people have found has worked when their duplicates were flagged.

    I am so happy I found your channel "by accident " - I've been wanting to start a POD on Etsy for over a year but didn't understand the process enough to pull the trigger until I started watching your videos last night. You do such a great job explaining & teaching that I definitely feel ready now! Thank you much for helping us newbies!
    I have 2 quick questions:
    1. Do you need to buy mockups in every color variation to begin with or can we just show black, white, gray & offer other colors without pictures? Or is it better to just not offer more colors until we can afford more mockups with all the different colors?
    And 2. Is it a good idea to offer other items in your POD shop (i.e. handmade crafts, like tumblers, jewelry, paintings if you already have these items made) or have a separate shop for those items? Or only focus on POD yo begin with?
    Thanks!! 🙂

    • @sarahowe4747
      @sarahowe4747 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'll try to help... When you select which tshirt or sweatshirt to design you want to create in Printify, say you choose the Bella & Canvas 3001 tshirt, next it will ask which production partner from the list you'd like to have actually make and ship the shirt for you. Choose Monster Digital as the partner for the tshirt and finish all the steps in designing and publishing the tshirt. Now if you want to also sell sweatshirts, when you go to make the sweatshirt, choose the sweatshirt style, say Gildan 1800, and the list of production partners will show again, be sure to select Monster Digital to make the sweatershirt as well. This way if someone orders one of each, they are both coming from the same place, saving time and shipping cost. *ALSO... if this isn't what you meant and you are actually asking how to sell tshirts and sweatshirts in the same listing (or adults and kids sizes in the same listing for example), she covers that in her recent video titled "Matching Family Shirts FULL TUTORIAL (Printify + Etsy)". I hope this helps, best of luck!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for answering Sara! I also wouldn't recommend selling t-shirt and sweatshirts in the same order EVER. This is way more work and not worth it in my opinion. I just list t-shirts and sweatshirts separately.

    Hi Cassiy! First, I just want to say thank you for sharing you knowledge and posting easy to understand videos without all the fluff! You make the process seem less intimidating and overwhelming! You've inspired me to start my own shop and I am working on posting my first listing.
    In researching other shops like you suggested, I noticed that many other shops have listings where you can buy multiple different shirt types (t shirts, sweatshirt, tanks, youth, baby body suits) all in one listing. It seems like it would be a good idea to offer all style types but I know in one of your videos you mentioned something about decision paralysis (or something along those lines lol) Do you advise against this? Would you create individual listings for each shirt type/category instead? What do you recommend? Thanks for any insight!

    Seriously, I agree with these people. I appreciate your videos and I am trying to figure this out, I watched someone else and he uses Figma instead of Canva but doesn't go over his content near as well as you. I just turned 46 and my back has been out for a few years now, I have applied for disability and keep getting denied of course, I have tons of debt that I can't pay and I am pretty much broke as well. The part where you talk about them charging you concerns me and hopefully that works itself out. I want to figure this out so maybe I can create an income and stop living in stress every day.

  • @BLINGofBOSTON

    I tend to not repeat words in my tags to try to cast a wider net of keywords. For example, instead of:
    “new mom gifts”
    “gifts for mom”
    “grandma gift”
    I’d just have:
    “new mom gifts”
    “gift for grandma”
    (This leaves more space for other keywords)
    Have you tried this and seen any difference in the success?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually most of your sales come from 4-5 of the keywords. But Etsy has shown that they have "exact word matches" and "broad word matches" so I try to cover both bases. Its hard to know exactly why something works or what made the difference

    Another fabulous video, Cassiy, and to you and all that might read this, if you decide to sell Coffee Mugs, make a few designs and have them printed. I won't mention the company (not sure if that would get me in trouble) however, it was not Printify. Anyway, I had 3 coffee mug samples sent to me. I know how to design and set designs. They were delivered and when I looked at them, the prints, on both sides were not centered. There was no rhyme or reason as to why. I realized I could not use this particular company. I was so depressed, I ordered a large pizza and ate the whole thing (I must admit, I felt much better) and a second visit at the gym. Anyway, most of us know we should always order a sample, but in my opinion, if the mistakes are too large, I don't think you should even consider working with whomever you ordered from. Especially in my case. They told me a couple times the art work will be centered just as I did it. UUUGGG

    Hi, again! You've practically answered my questions from another comment I made in one of your previous video and thank you for that! My next question is now for the Production Partner segment. Let's say if I use different different print providers that range from Monster Digital for one t-shirt to Duplium Gideon for a sweatshirt to District Photo for a coffee mug. In Etsy, will I ALWAYS place Printify as my Production Partner, but on the Location section, put the address of the respective printing company that is doing the print job? Again, thank you for your time, patience, and expertise! Oh! Followup question: Should we only create products that have printing companies in the United States that make the products we'd like to sell or can we use another country's printing services if our country doesn't have a particular print shop available for an item we create?
