They would be similar, but I do have some videos specifically for the ACL. You can find them on my channel: th-cam.com/users/askdoctorjo If there is any way you can go see a PT in person to get a specific program for your needs, that would be the best option to try to avoid surgery.
I couldn't run with meniscus tear anymore, but after doing these exercises twice a day, every day, my knees got stronger and able to do marathons again without restriction.
Does meniscus tear always swell ? I hit my knee on the wall but I can bend and straighten with no pain just a lil stiffness in the front of my knee cap where I hit it . I can cross my legs with no pain . When I walk front of my knee cap hurts and I can’t walk down the steps without pain .
I had been in severe pain with sciatica for almost 5 years. I started stretching twice a day just watching one of your video two days ago. My pain. Numbness. Tingling are gone. I can not believe it. Thank you so very much.
Good on having the management knowledge for others awareness. Coming from recent experiences of having two Oxford knees replacement.. .... suffering pre op for years etc.
I don't have a meniscus tear , I am here in part at least for cool Remy with that hoodie and the new video from Doctor Jo . I do however have heel pain and am doing physical therapy as my prescription , finding these as Doctor Jo demonstrates and explains in this video to be a great help too , and will be adding these in this video to my rotation . Thank you so much Doctor Jo 👍🖖💕 . Stay safe and take care.
Hi Dr. Jo! Unfortunately, I know these too well personally! Had ACL reconstruction.. and meniscus is bugging me now 20 years later! Thanks for sharing! SEE YOU SOON! YO AND VAGINIA 🌸
Do your recommend any type of brace for your knee? If so which one and if it should be worn all day. I play pickle ball and wonder if this would help while my knee is healing. Thank you so mucy.
Last year I did have a meniscus tear and had it surgically repaired. Now I feel the same symptoms on the back inside of my left kneecap. My rheumatologist thinks it’s a arthritis flareup and gave me a Cortizone shot, but I’ve never had a flareup with arthritis, and it hasn’t helped. I’m wondering if I should get an MRI before I do any exercises?
Ok im 34 male...i have injured my right knee just simply sitting in squad position suddenly...there is a pain under my pattella which comes and goes i don't know if its my pattella ligament that is injured or my meniscus....and im doing different stretch exercises from dr joe.. im waiting and only the time will tell...if i got any better....offcouse mri is the key thing to diagnose such injuries...👍
@@offbeatslook2684 And as a matter of fact, my rheumatologist called me today, the steroid shot I received about 2 weeks ago, literally reduced the pain to zero, so…I started up my moderate exercises again, and the pain is back. My Rheumatologist is setting me up for an MRI. But..I also am doing Dr. Joe’s exercises, and I feel I have a little bit of relief after doing so. It is really crazy though isn’t it, how anybody can hurt their knee from just a simple every day movement🤔
Sweet girl i ask u a question..does meniscus tear hurts right after injury or the pain just start later on that day since i heard the meniscus doesn't have any sencery nerves in it?
ma'am I need your help, please reply... after doing incorrect lunge jumping my inner side knee pain is start . which exercise i can do ?? please tell me.
So i play soccer thats how i tore mine, are these stretches gonna help to let me play again? cause theirs a lot of twisting and turning in soccer can i do that? Also the hamstring ones are really painfull even when i braely do it
How many times per day should these stretches/exercises be done? And for what duration should they be done before considered healed & returning to normal activities? Would it be beneficial to wear a knee brace when not doing the exercises?
It depends on what stage of recovery you are in and how your body reacts to treatment, but in general, therapeutic exercises can be done 1-3 times a day, every day. As for the other questions, it really just depends on how severe it is and what your symptoms are, so I don't know those answers since I can't evaluate you. Everyone is different. If there is any way you can see a physical therapist in person, they should be able to help you figure out a specific program for you and help answer your questions.
hi just ask. I have had Acl + meniscus and cartilage surgery. now I am 7 weeks and my knee still swelling and instability when walking. can i know what training process i need to improve?

Does this apply to ACL tears. I was told to try PT first and that some people never get their ACLs surgically repaired

The flexible ones usually have a little give to them, but they all basically do the same thing.
