Agreed, but a triple changer is the best for Megatron in terms of character design. A tank is a great alt mode, but a jet allows him to be at odds with most of his other troops in the air. Both are great tho.
I've seen a lot of Transformers concept art. Lots of them actually look pretty good. The chance of some of them actually turning into an action figure is actually amazing. I hope we get more.
Coping the fact that Bayverse related stuff wouldn't be as good as this if made. IF MADE considering that I don't think Hasbro cares for the Bayverse thinking they don't worth the money anymore. They really quantity over quality here.

Only Pablo is an insult to Wheeljack's design, something they need to fix ASAP by making Pablo Beachcomber and bringing Bumblebee Wheeljack back, and the fact that they made Blitzwing in Bumblebee a generic red Seeker is also insulting.

AND, to finish it all off, ROTB Maximals look faithful to their original designs, and the Terrorcon Scoponoks look good compared to the original Predacon Scopronok.
I think the tank would have looked a lot better if the chestplate folded back more into the main body, cover the head and rest under the fusion cannon.
What I really like about PrimeVsPrime channel is that unlike other channels he always patiently explain about transformation step by step. It's really helpful and I really appreciate that.👍

To see the Bumblebee movie design for Megatron AS AN ACTUAL TOY is absolutely insane! NEVER did I think I would ever see this design, let alone a toy of it 🤯🤯 Also, I feel like the jet mode was based off of the Animated Megatron's Helicopter mode, he even has the canon below the cockpit and everything!
I thought the same thing, the jet mode looks somewhat like it was inspired by TF Animated Megatron! Shame that not a lot of G1 Megatrons have often used the helicopter from Animated as an alt mode.
As a collector, I personally have no problem with either mode of this Megatron!! The fact that He can triple change is seemingly befitting a cybertronian of such awesome fortitude, & gives credibility to his ability to stalk his prey from both the ground & sky...!!!! Only afterwards to finally gloat over his conquests in an intimidating robot mode!!!! 🤗
I really love this design, while not was I was expecting Bumblebee's Megatron movie design to look like, I think it's absolutely amazing and seeing the actual figure up close make it even more amazing. If they make another live action film, hopefully, they keep this design without changing anything, maybe give him the grey barrel on his left side but otherwise keep it completely as it is.

Excellent Megatron with great paint/detail/3rd party articulation. Alt modes are give or take, but seeing as this is one of the best Leader class Megatron figures in what feels like forever I've got him preordered already for early next year. Never expected to see actual butterfly joints let alone individual fingers on a mainline release. Fusion canon is also proportionately awesome and gives some nice display options.
I feel like this Megatron has the same issue as a lot of Cybertronian modes. Because there isn't a real Earth vehicle to design the robot mode around, the vehicle mode(s) end up just being a vaguely vehicle shaped mess of robot parts. It's a shame because the robot mode is awesome.
Yeah the alternate modes kind of suck but at the same time that robot mode is just spot on you can almost hear the voice of Frank Welker coming from that bucket head sculpt I hope we finally get a good-looking Megatron in a live-action movie

Looks like a cross of both G1 and Bay films and I love it! It looks familiar but still having the realistic somewhat grounded alien appearence they were going for.

I'm actually somewhat surprised by how good the leg transformation is compared to the rest. It does some interesting shifting of parts to make the tracks for tank mode while still hiding the threads in jet mode. It even manages to create boosters. Yet the chest and arms feel like they just gave up halfway through. It could have been an amazing triple changer, which makes it even more disappointing.
I actually think I like the jet mode BETTER Than tank mode … at least jet mode takes efforts in concealing his chest and head sculpt and I always like a huge under-slung fusion cannon . Reminiscent of animated Megs especially cybertronian alt mode animated Megs. So the tank is just a plus . But let’s be honest that robot mode is 100% worth the price of admission 👍👍
Honestly I was super excited for this figure and had good hopes that the alt modes would look better than what we saw on the box, but dang is it kinda of a let down, and I think had they focused on one alt mode, they could have made THAT alt modes bigger, other than that robot mode is amazing
This Megatron is a unique design. I love the robot mode and the Jet is crazy unique by itself. I think to me the Tank is the weakest mode due to Meg's head is exposed and very gappy. However, the jet compresses everything together and hides the head. This is a good pick up to replace the Megatron I have.
Honestly his robot mode looks incredible for a leader class figure. Unlike most people, i actually like his tank form. Idk i guess i just like how compressed and blocky it looks. Kinda reminds me of a metal slug tank
You forgot some steps in the Transformation to the tank: 1) While folding the multiple hinges from the back, the black panel tabs into the arse. this really makes the turret point straight forward 2) the shoulders tab together to make it more sturdy

He looks amazing!!! I can’t wait to get him, the robot mode is definitely the selling point. However I don’t think the altmodes are too bad..I can actually see what they’d probably look like on screen and they are pretty good.
I quite like this Megs. The alt mods aren't the best, but I do sorta like them. One thing I was thinking, with how the cockpit flips out of the chest and how the treads on the legs flip out to form the thrusters, is that, with some HEAVY retooling, this could be a good base for a Blitzwing figure. I always regretted not getting the Animated Blitzwing figure, with the 3 rotating faces and just how both alt modes look awesome and cohesive (from images I have seen of it). This figure could be an excellent base figure with a lot of work, cause it does have some interesting ideas that could work for Blitzwing, I feel.
judging by his plane mode, If you look at it on top view, the formation is somewhat akin to the Batman's logo. I don't know if that's is just intentional or not, but I really like the concept of Megatron of being a triple changer although, we already have one from the ROTF.
The vehicle modes are a big turn off to me. But I really like the jet mode of the two alternate modes. The details, robot mode and articulation are spectacular! I might get this Megatron, but I’m not sure if I want to pay close to 60$ on this. Great review! Excited for the end of year ranking!
On the face, I really like the jet mode. I see a resemblance to transformers prime Megatron. With that said, it would make sense to put the cannon on the top as both a 3rd engine and the blaster on top. But with the tank, they should have added wheels,or made it look like hover jets instead. Robot mode is fantastic.
I'm okay with the jet and tank modes, they're personally my favorite hot mess excuses for vehicles in Transformers. Now the inner child in me would want to absolutely flame you for your takes on the jet mode specifically-as it's actually a personal fav-, but nah. You are a professional reviewer, you review your products objectively with a little bit of personal opinions in there, but over all just laying out the facts. And people will definitely have separate opinions to yours, others will be very vocal about it. But I say: agree to disagree. We have our own opinions on these products, and it would be wise to not argue about it like children. But overall, solid review, PVP, cheers to the channel and the community this year and the next, and I'll definitely be picking this one up someday!
the author of this model of Megatron did a good job, he was able to keep his design with concept art and come up with a unique design so that Mega could turn into 3 mods
I prefer the jet mode over the tank by far. The tank, especially the turret, seems so improvised, let alone having a very traditional design, that we can live without - especially since the tank's concept design was so cool and new. I agree that it shouldn't have been a triple changer, and that they sgould have focused on the concept tank mode alone instead
This might be a stretch, but the fact that this Megatron and reboot Optimus share a similar looking back really sells the fact that they are supposed to be brothers.
In the Hasbro Pulse stream in which they presented him it was mentioned that both tank and jet mode are based on the canceled triple changer Animated Marauder Megatron. Because since Megatron hasn't yet appeared in the rebooted universe, they weren't sure which alt mode would be better. So why not both? Hopefully Megatron will be inspired by this figure in a future movie. 👍

Robot design and articulation look stellar, bit of a shame that the alt modes are a bit less impressive, definitely feels like they could have used some more work Hot take maybe but I actually like the jet mode more than the tank; I would have preferred bigger wings and it's unfortunate the cannon doesn't really clip in all that well but the transformation looks fun, it's a decent enough space jet design imo, and at least it doesn't have the hollowness and exposed head of the tank mode (would've been cool if they'd found a way to compress the chest further back on the tank to solidify it a bit more)
When I get my hands on this and use him in my future Stop Motion films, I'm gonna be keeping him in his jet mode, it's looking superior over the tank mode.

I think I really adore the concept megatrons jet and tank mode. The tank is somewhat chibi while the jet reminds me of transformers animated mixed with laser beak. All in all, my favourite robot and vehicle modes for megatron!
Robot mode looks badass, might get this figure. I bought Wheeljack and Brawn recently and these BB figures have grown on me. Jet mode feels like homage to TFA/TF Prime.
Finally someone agrees with me I have been wanting cybertron optimus prime I want to suggest this idea to someone in charge of Hasbro and make this, I’ve been trying to think and test on how to customize ss 38 and make a transforming perfect replica of bumblebee prime, okdituz tried making one and it worked but did take a long time for his to be perfect
This Megatron looks AMAZING!! I NEED this guy AND him to appear in the next movies! I actually like his alt-modes, the jet mode is the best one. The jet mode actually DESTROYS the flying piece of GARBAGE that is 2007 Megs's "jet" mode!!! The jet mode is actually the most cohesive of the 2 modes, but the tank mode isn't bad, it does need a little more work tho. & the tank mode is actually better than Bayverse Megs's. 2007 Megs is OBLITERATED by BBM Concept Megatron!!! I would've LOVED it if Megatron was in BBM!! I like to think that he & a bunch of other Decepticons were laying some ABSOLUTE HATE on the Autobot Capitol, & thats why Arcee lost contact with it! I would've loved to see it! I hope Megatron, Transit, Starscream, Soundwave, & the rest of the boys appear in the sequels to RotB!!! & Megs HAS to be voiced by Frank Welker! I'd LOVE to see Megs & Optimus duking it out in the sequels!!! & also, I think BBM Megs's tank & jet modes are better than Soundwave's Green Goblin Glider. Soundwave's alt-mode is fine tho, if/when I get him I'm probably gonna fan-mode it into a hover tank, by putting the shoulder cannon on top as a turret. I do agree, Hasbro (or perhaps Paramount) have robbed us with the lack of this Megatron in the Bumblebee movie! The robot mode is the best out of the 3 modes, tank mode can be better as well as the jet mode. You’re right, the jet mode does overall feel like an afterthought. To solve the whole vehicle mode issue, I would’ve went with something like a turret with a stand and a rotating cannon. It’s the closest thing to his G1 alt mode (which was a gun).
Honestly, the jet mode is probably a Cybertronian Stealth Bomber, that just makes the most sense to me, and it might be a reference to some of his other toys. The tank mode isn't that bad, reminds me of Prime Shockwave's alt mode, Cybertronian vehicles have always been, not iffy, but often require an imagination to see an alien vehicles be similar to ours, but not quite earthly.
I'm with you here, Dredge. The jet mode, to me, resembles a B-2 stealth bomber, which was the same kind of bomber Megatron turned into that one time in the IDW comics.
I completely agree about the Alt modes being janky, but the robot mode makes him one of my all-time favorite Megatrons. I have him on display with my MP-10V (the best voyager class Prime IMO).
Can't wait to get my hands on this toy, he's definitely gonna dethrone Siege Megs for me as the de facto Geewunnish\Evergreen Megatron. I'd also love to see this mold get the reverse Cloud treatment, I could totally see this toy make an awesome Bludgeon with a bit of retooling.
Its been awhile since ive been excited for a studio series transformer. This is definitely gonna be a new favorite figure and will get the best display spot on the shelf!

Siege seekers have butterfly shoulders, not too crazy but they deffinitely bring the squared boys to life

From what I read, the tank and jet were based off the TFA Marauder Megatron that was for the cancelled Season 4.
I can’t wait to see how well the Knightverse does megatron the way they did with scourge
On the face, I really like the jet mode. I see a resemblance to transformers prime Megatron. With that said, it would make sense to put the cannon on the top as both a 3rd engine and the blaster on top. But with the tank, they should have added wheels,or made it look like hover jets instead. Robot mode is fantastic.

I'm okay with the jet and tank modes, they're personally my favorite hot mess excuses for vehicles in Transformers. Now the inner child in me would want to absolutely flame you for your takes on the jet mode specifically-as it's actually a personal fav-, but nah. You are a professional reviewer, you review your products objectively with a little bit of personal opinions in there, but over all just laying out the facts.
And people will definitely have separate opinions to yours, others will be very vocal about it. But I say: agree to disagree. We have our own opinions on these products, and it would be wise to not argue about it like children.
But overall, solid review, PVP, cheers to the channel and the community this year and the next, and I'll definitely be picking this one up someday!

the author of this model of Megatron did a good job, he was able to keep his design with concept art and come up with a unique design so that Mega could turn into 3 mods
If this figure came out during the ROTF days he would’ve been unnecessarily complex to transform.
But may of had better altmodes 🤔

I prefer the jet mode over the tank by far. The tank, especially the turret, seems so improvised, let alone having a very traditional design, that we can live without - especially since the tank's concept design was so cool and new. I agree that it shouldn't have been a triple changer, and that they sgould have focused on the concept tank mode alone instead
This might be a stretch, but the fact that this Megatron and reboot Optimus share a similar looking back really sells the fact that they are supposed to be brothers.

In the Hasbro Pulse stream in which they presented him it was mentioned that both tank and jet mode are based on the canceled triple changer Animated Marauder Megatron. Because since Megatron hasn't yet appeared in the rebooted universe, they weren't sure which alt mode would be better. So why not both? Hopefully Megatron will be inspired by this figure in a future movie. 👍

Agreed, the tank could have been looked at more. But still seems worth it. But I don't think a call back to Bay's movie should have been a thought.
10/10 for sure, I can't wait for this figure to come out. hasbro did not disappoint with him, especially since this is the 1st ss figure to transform into 3 modes. I really hope we won't have a problem finding him in stores like 102 optimus prime

Robot design and articulation look stellar, bit of a shame that the alt modes are a bit less impressive, definitely feels like they could have used some more work
Hot take maybe but I actually like the jet mode more than the tank; I would have preferred bigger wings and it's unfortunate the cannon doesn't really clip in all that well but the transformation looks fun, it's a decent enough space jet design imo, and at least it doesn't have the hollowness and exposed head of the tank mode (would've been cool if they'd found a way to compress the chest further back on the tank to solidify it a bit more)

This beautiful behemoth is everything I’ve ever wanted in a Megatron toy. He’s really big, he has the regular color scheme, he’s a triple change & all three of the transformations do not require parts forming. I MUST HAVE HIM

I think I really adore the concept megatrons jet and tank mode. The tank is somewhat chibi while the jet reminds me of transformers animated mixed with laser beak. All in all, my favourite robot and vehicle modes for megatron!
Robot mode looks badass, might get this figure. I bought Wheeljack and Brawn recently and these BB figures have grown on me. Jet mode feels like homage to TFA/TF Prime.

Finally someone agrees with me I have been wanting cybertron optimus prime I want to suggest this idea to someone in charge of Hasbro and make this, I’ve been trying to think and test on how to customize ss 38 and make a transforming perfect replica of bumblebee prime, okdituz tried making one and it worked but did take a long time for his to be perfect
one of the best thing from studio series yet.
I can’t wait for this figure and hopefully this means he’ll be in the next Transformers film

This Megatron looks AMAZING!! I NEED this guy AND him to appear in the next movies! I actually like his alt-modes, the jet mode is the best one. The jet mode actually DESTROYS the flying piece of GARBAGE that is 2007 Megs's "jet" mode!!! The jet mode is actually the most cohesive of the 2 modes, but the tank mode isn't bad, it does need a little more work tho. & the tank mode is actually better than Bayverse Megs's. 2007 Megs is OBLITERATED by BBM Concept Megatron!!! I would've LOVED it if Megatron was in BBM!! I like to think that he & a bunch of other Decepticons were laying some ABSOLUTE HATE on the Autobot Capitol, & thats why Arcee lost contact with it! I would've loved to see it! I hope Megatron, Transit, Starscream, Soundwave, & the rest of the boys appear in the sequels to RotB!!! & Megs HAS to be voiced by Frank Welker! I'd LOVE to see Megs & Optimus duking it out in the sequels!!!
& also, I think BBM Megs's tank & jet modes are better than Soundwave's Green Goblin Glider. Soundwave's alt-mode is fine tho, if/when I get him I'm probably gonna fan-mode it into a hover tank, by putting the shoulder cannon on top as a turret. I really want to get my hands on SS RotB Optimus & BBM Concept Megs so I can have them duke it out! & Optimus can show HIM the true POWER of a PRIME, like he did Scourge (who is the BEST Live-action TF villain next to the other Terrorcons, Blitzwing, Decepticon Duo (Shatter & Dropkick), & the BBM 'Cons)!!!

The robot mode is the best out of the 3 modes, tank mode can be better as well as the jet mode. You’re right, the jet mode does overall feel like an afterthought.
To solve the whole vehicle mode issue, I would’ve went with something like a turret with a stand and a rotating cannon. It’s the closest thing to his G1 alt mode (which was a gun).
Honestly, the jet mode is probably a Cybertronian Stealth Bomber, that just makes the most sense to me, and it might be a reference to some of his other toys. The tank mode isn't that bad, reminds me of Prime Shockwave's alt mode, Cybertronian vehicles have always been, not iffy, but often require an imagination to see an alien vehicles be similar to ours, but not quite earthly.

The jet mode, to me, resembles a B-2 stealth bomber, which was the same kind of bomber Megatron turned into that one time in the IDW comics.

I completely agree about the Alt modes being janky, but the robot mode makes him one of my all-time favorite Megatrons. I have him on display with my MP-10V (the best voyager class Prime IMO).

Best new figure I’ve seen for a long time. It’s almost as if you cross the original megatron with the terminators head (when his skin comes off).
Can't wait to get my hands on this toy, he's definitely gonna dethrone Siege Megs for me as the de facto Geewunnish\Evergreen Megatron. I'd also love to see this mold get the reverse Cloud treatment, I could totally see this toy make an awesome Bludgeon with a bit of retooling.
