- Let’s see how the Ryzen 5 4600H in the Acer Nitro 5 stands up against the Ryzen 7 4800H in the Asus TUF A15 in this head to head battle. ►⏩►⏩ Check specs and pricing in the links below…
💻 Acer Nitro 5 8GB Model ( geni.us/Nitro5... - Commission Earned )
💻 Acer Nitro 5 16GB Model ( geni.us/Nitro5... - Commission Earned )
💻 Asus TUF A15 ( geni.us/TUFa15... - Commission Earned )
I have run each of these laptops through creator focused benchmarks covering video editing in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, motion design, graphic design, photo editing, and more.
Getting right into the build quality the Acer Nitro 5 comes with an all plastic build, smooth finished edges and sturdy materials. All of the components are secured to the chassis in a way that instills confidence in the build of this laptop.I would not recommend dropping it just to see how well it truly holds up, as it is still a plastic build, but it is sturdy, especially at the under $1000 price point.
The Asus TUF A15 comes with a military aesthetic boasting an aluminum top cover while the rest of the build comes in a harded plastic material. The beveled edges, corners, Keyboard deck, and top cover are sturdy. I especially like the bolts on the top cover, it is a nice look that really emphasizes the TUF military look that Asus is going for with this laptop.
Both laptops are well-built. They have strong hinges that open and close smoothly with minimal screen flex. The Acer Nitro 5 had a little more screen flex due to the plastic construction, opposed to the A15’s metal top cover.
The ports selection on these laptops are good, pretty standard for gaming laptops.
Acer Nitro 5

USB 3.2 Gen 2 (with power off charging)

Asus TUF A15:

Type C USB
x2 Type A USB 3.2
HDMI
Headphone-out & Audio-in Combo

Onto a more heated conversation, pun intended. The vents on the A15 have received a lot of negative press due to the fact that they are considered to be improperly placed as well as some completely blocked off. This has caused the A15 to run hot. This has not been seen to dramatically affect the performance, but does make the machine quite uncomfortable to hold.
The Acer Nitro 5 however is well vented with a large vent on the bottom cover, vents on the keyboard deck and along the back panel, as well as both side panels. These vents, plus Acer’s NitroSense & CoolBoost, allow the Acer Nitro 5 to get plenty of air flow making it a much cooler laptop compared to many I have reviewed, but especially the TUF A15.

If you’re looking for a laptop with a military aesthetic and Ryzen 7 CPU, great performance in regards to graphic design, photo & video editing, motion design, plus some of the best Geekbench scores I’ve ever seen, oh and it has a really solid keyboard and trackpad setup, then you’re going to want to check out the Asus TUF A15.
But if you’re looking for a laptop that runs that a Ryzen 5 4600H processor, but substantially cooler during all tests while accomplishing the tests at near the same results, while having a firm-well-built trackpad and keyboard deck then you need to pick up the Acer Nitro 5.

Godness, this amazing, I want the asus Tuf but in Colombia all the computers are too expensive :'c
I would buy you one and ship it there only 900 usd
@@andyg4518 what’s ur discord ?
How can you compare these two laptops that have huge difference in specs, mate? TUF has ryzen 7, gtx 1660ti and 144hz monitor vs nitro 5 with ryzen 5, gtx 1650 and 60hz monitor... a bit unfair, no? Compare TUF vs Nitro 5 both having the same specs.. that's what most people want to see
True, Tuf a15 is easily overpowered with these specs, in comparison to Nitro 5.
I cannot understand what does the 661 score for asus tuf means in terms of renderring from pudget benchmarks? I mean how many minutes does it actually take to render a 1080p h.264 motion graphics file in after effects?
which one do you think would be better for art/animation? i would need it to handle programs such as krita and paint tool SAI and be able to handle a lot of layers, and I’m hoping for it to last me a few years.
acer nirto 5
Just curious, which laptop do you use to video edit with?
I’m looking for a work laptop as well as something that can handle games well as I’m a casual gamer on the quest to find a cheap gaming laptop. I’m not choosing either of them but very similar. I’m choosing the asus tuf 15.6 gaming laptop which is very similar to the tuf you showcased in this video.
Am i the one getting a giveaway? 🤔
Too curious 😜
Maaaan you are the one!
So which better ? If in terms of performance for programmers?
Your are not given my answer sir which one i buy that asus rog strix g17, g15 for using after effects, 3d modelling, 4k video editing , maya software, photoshop, preimer pro etc. Wait for the apple slicion arm or a macbook pro 16inch model 2020 which one you preferred
I didn't knew was tot air before this vid, thanks!!!! You killed it seriously
Thank you bro for your kind information. Please do recommend me, If it will be worth buying of Asus Tuf A15 processor intel 5 10Gen, RAM 8 GB, SSD 512 GB. For video editing, photoshop, after effects, light room. Looking for your advice. Thanks.
which laptop is better to architecture student
Which one is better for heavy graphics designings
WOW awesome 👍
I watched the video wholeheartedly both laptops has it's own pros and cons but may I ask for AutoCAD which is better however I like the battery life of the Nitro but I want to hear your own opinion I'm pretty sure A15 this month has 3050 now since the video is old will appreciate a reply 🥰
I am planning to buY Tuf A15.. thats the only thing i could reach my budget..i am a graphic designer i use mostly use Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Same here. Which one is better for heavy grahics designings?
What if the Nitro is equip with Ryzen 7? The performance will be on par with A15 right?
its nearly impossible for me to find either of those laptops with the Ryzen chip here.. the Intel variations are easy to find though and still priced highly for what they are
Do a comparison between Asus TUF A15 4800H 1660ti and lenovo legion 5 4800H 1660ti.
Legion 5 has better cooling and performs better.. it's my opinion
what will you recommend if you will use it in more architectural program but can also perform gaming? thanks
Both
The Acer nitro 5 does actually have rgb keyboard lighting
Make comparison of nitro 5 r5 vs legion 5 r5..
you missed the most important part, how does the display compares for ghosting. as the tuf a15 is known to have very slow response times. does the acer goes the same path?
I gotta ask you this? do you actually buy these laptops for comparison or you borrow it from your friend or others?
He probably gets review models

Got me bamboozled
Which is best for solid works & ansys
Acer nitro 5
can u post a sound test on asus a15 please....
Tuf got a design mistake making the laptop running very hot.
I think ASUS want to get rid of them that’s why it’s quite cheap for the specs
Yup the thermal is just ughh. Acer nitro 5 with new update has 100 TGP on rtx 3060.
Which ones better for word processing?
Can you compare Lenovo legion 5 and Lenovo Legion 5i?(with the exact same configuration, except the cpu, which is ryzen 7 4800h vs intel i7 10750h)
Ryzen 7 is way better... Especially if you want to work with editing programs
@@ulissesnascimento4065 Yeahh, because ryzen 7 has 8 cores. But many say that Premiere Pro is more optimal with Intel processor (Intel Quick Sync feature). That feature makes live playback and workflow smoother(But I still don't know, which one is faster, ryzen 7 with 8 core or Intel i7 with 6 core+intel quick sync). Make me confused 😂 don't know what to choose hehe
@@AbedThendean AMD is better for the long run. It maintains lower temperatures and is more power efficient, is cheaper and has better multi core performance. Go for the R7 4800H
@Reyansh gamer Ryzen 9 is worse than Ryzen 7 4800H lmfao. It's a marketting gimmick. 4900Hs is too low powered hence having worse performance than the 4800H
@Reyansh gamer it has worse thermals and gets hotter much faster hence resulting in throttling which leads to much worse performance
is keyboards like hp omen without numeric keyboad is suited for heavy coading or not?
can anyone tell me
so I went to the store today and they sell acer nitro 5 with 512gb ssd 20gb ram with core i7 11th gen for $1,798
and ASUS TUF 15 has intel core i7 10th gen 16gb ram and 512 gb ssd but for $1,898
honestly asus laptop has such a beautiful design and I want to buy it but at the same time I would not chose the cheaper option with value for money
what should I do?

both are good bro but if u choose asus then u may or maynot get a heating laptop as asus models have heating issues in some models, but acer is a very cool model with strong quality from inside. so if u wil use in hot areas then go with acer bro.
which is better for premiere?
Which is better?
Acer nitro 5 but for durability then Asus A15
Is the screen 9n the asus as bad as people say. Only have $750 to spend right now and I need a laptop. Not sure what I should get. I'm only planning on playing ffxiv, gacha games, borderlands 3 and fallout for the most part.
What about the newest asus tuf at Best Buy for $599.00 how does it compare to these in the video. I can’t find any reviews
nope, its worse than the TUF A15. R5 3550H is the worst AMD CPU. Get the Nitro 5
can u do on hp pavillion 15 r5 4600h with 1650 ? cuz most of people searching this
@Reyansh gamer asus heat dude
Can we upgrade SSD in Nitro 5?
Yes
No unfortunatley, but! You can still upgrade with an HDD
Thanks Spiderman!!!
“....I would not recommend dropping it to test....”. Ok. So WHICH laptop(s) would you recommend dropping?
Asus Zenbook S or a Thinkpad.
Best budget 3d modeling laptop 🤔

@@alvinsim7726 dont bother what peple says, people spread rumours easily without validation. almost every laptop under 80000 have 45%ntsc which is common. the zephyrus model of asus costing 82000 have 100%sRGB. So there is no screen issue.
feel kinda bad that you just wasted all that money man... It will be better to get a refund if you can, a laptop which runs at temperatures of 115+ degrees is definitely a beast lmfao. A laptop having one of the worst 144hz displays and a buggy software is definitely a beast xD. Try getting a refund and buy something like the Omen 15, Legion 5 or Nitro 5
@@SexyGaymerPankaj looks like u either never used the Tuf laptop or just speaking on baseless grounds 😂. There's no laptop I've heard until now that heats up to 115'C. And u say that it has one of the worst display? Well did u even see it by ur eyes or just spreading rumours like a hater? 😂 Such a nonsense comment. Almost every laptop at it's price range have 45% NTSC level unless the specs are compromised. Asus tuf is rich in specs so it's 144hz 45% NTSC panel is just like the 45% NTSC of any other brand. Hence there's no noticeable difference. Yes legion have better screen but only the higher variant, even legion's base variant have 45% NTSC. When you are in budget, Go for acer nitro 5
Acer nitro 5 but I carry the Asus A15 laptop. As I did tested mine is 2022 model, some game would doing fine by 25% faster but some app will tend to hurt your computer black screen of death but as long you dont tend to put the graphics to high your fine.

To me this all rocket science and Acer just is nice to me idc
how do i get 16gb nitro 5 ;( im only seeing 8gbs on market for me
Just buy rams instead looking for a laptop that has 16 gb ram

8 gb of ram is enough for your gaming needs
I am getting confused with the Nitro 5 internals. He mentions that the Nitro doesn’t have RGB keyboard but mine has. And review sites keep on mentioning the dull 60hz screen yet mine has 144hz native and has the sticker to emphasize such feature. Linus also reviewed the same year model and was happy that he reached 90hz over clocked. Am I missing something? These all are the 2020 models which I also have. (Nitro 5 AN515-44-R7ZU)
